      Most of New York looked runned down back then. The only nice areas were in certain parts of Manhattan. But as the years went by gentrification hit, white people/hipsters started moving in from other states, now all of sudden everything starts changing. New real estate everywhere, even in dangerous neighborhoods. Big name franchises start opening everywhere. You got million dollar condos being built across the street from people living in the projects. Its pretty sad.

      Not even close! Check out the Kennedy Family and see how "REAL" hustlers do it. Friend of a president?? How about a bootlegger who's son BECAME the President, a son that became the Attorney General and a son that was a fixture in Congress for over 30 years. That's how REAL Hustlers get it done. Ilias Cant be the GOAT if u stayed only 2years at the top and the rest of you career is average, illmatic and it was writen are classic no doubt about it, but even when he was at his peak he wasnt the best, biggie and pac were better than him.
      And if you look at all his career, then Jay-z is far ahead of him in every aspect except maybe lyrics, but rap is not only about lyrics its music before everything else.
      So Jay-z has a better flow, better voice, more versatile, way better for choosing beats, has way more longevity and i dont even talk about impact and influence ... He gave us Kanye west, J.Cole, Rihanna, Wale ... He is considered the GOAT by Drake, Rick Ross, Lil wayne, 21 savage, the game, Lupe Fiasco, swae lee and many more ...
      Nas is in top 10 maybe top 5 but definitly not the GOAT lyrics and story telling the only things he is good at

      @djkurse9209 5 лет назад +1

      Tony Sanchez they use Theee top 10 lists for lyricism and solid albums not business ventures and other shit like who they put on. Nas is top 5. André 3k, black thought, kool g rap, jay z, all in the top

    • @iCryptos
      @iCryptos 5 лет назад +3

      @@Anthonydu01630 if were talking about this from a business perspective, then yes hov is better. But if we just look at who is a better rapper, nas definitely wins. Hes only good at lyrics and storytelling? Have you heard his flow? Flows better than jay imo. I also prefer nas's voice so I guess its just a matter of personal preference.

    • @Anthonydu01630
      @Anthonydu01630 5 лет назад +1

      Ilias Nah Nas has always the same boring flow this is the thing you cant deny, his voice is good but realy not original, and most of his beats are wack ...
      Jay-z flow, voice, lyrics and beats are amazing on songs like the devil is a lie, free mason, feelin it, jigga my nigga, pound cake, niggas in paris, hard knock life ... If you can show me songs of nas were he has a better flow, voice, lyrics and beats send me because most of the songs i listened i find him boring

I would like to hear more stuff like this, especially old Mobb Deep, Nas, OutKast, Pac, Biggie, Big L and so many others were fantastic. New rap is getting more boring, dosent bother me much that new rappers rap about drugs and stuff but I've heard it so much it gets so tiring. I want rap to go back where ALL rappers were lyrical like how it was in these kind of days.

    To think this were Jays success started here, his career went nothing but up after this underground classic, man this beat was so hard and so 90's.. and you had to know he was something serious after he made the video classic ... and one of my Favorite Jay-Z songs for sure

      Luis Castellon you might never know with east coast rappers but west coast rappers never were into Lexus Thats What I love about the east coast BMW, Merc coupés and Lexus instead of chevys

      He intentionally dumbs down his lyrics to appeal to masses. But every few years he drops a gem of an album. Reasonable doubt, blueprint , American Gangster
