I m from 🇮🇳. Really he was a shaandaar jaandaar artist with a few match in this world. I like his jugalbandi with Anwar Maqsood sb including in loose talk. Anwar Maqsood sb like us must be missing him too much.

i was in class 9 or 10, (1966-67), when i attended moin sab stage show in S.I.T.E , karachi first performance of him...perhaps...

Moin Akhtar was a legend of the acting and drama. I was and I am a very big fan of his style he uses to urge the expressions and feelings of the watcher. Just look the seriousness on his face while making comedy. God created very little community of people like him.

I only ever saw Zia Mohiuddin saab on TV whilst I was growing up in the UK in the 70s. I didn't realise that he had a life on TV in Pakistan prior to and during this.
From the class of zia mohiuddin show in 1970s to the circus of 2020 - mazaq raat etal, ramadan transmissions, morning shows. Nothing captures the evolution of Pakistani mentality and taste better!

The lateral mentioned "Zia" you must be referring to Zia-ul-Haq I guess, no he was not the reason, it was we as collectively, feuds, agencies and our internal affairs did that!
What's Gen Zia got to do with it? Under him the country flourished
Well, gotta think deeper:
1. People must have wanted or Zia couldn't have done whatever he pretended to do
2. Zia abused the public sentiment for own purpose
3. Imran Khan is doing in fact (Riasat e Madinah, AlTughral, etc.) what Zia only pretended to.

Beautiful seeing how spirited Pakistani culture and personalities were in them days; something that is seldom found in today’s shows, that are full of narcissist opportunists and madmen like Amir Liaquat etc, with daily talk shows telling us the obvious. It’s disgusting now. Pakistanis need their own media back that reflects their lives and spirits.
But one thing is common uss waqt ki pakistani aurati be parda thi aur ajj ki bhi.
