  • With all this talk of cartoons that I do, I think it’s high time to honor the independent creators on the internet that I look up to, starting with Harry Partridge.

I remember the Saturday Morning Watchmen short being my first exposure to Harry Partridge. Ever since then, I’ve been following his work and have been in awe as to what one man can do in animation.
To this day, I consider him the greatest animator I’ve seen given all circumstances. Sure, there are those who are technically better than him, but those people are animators like Myazaki and other legends who have full studio backing on their side. Harry Partridge has been able to crank out professional-grade animation damn-near by himself for over a decade now, and is criminally underrated. I really hope one day he gets more recognition, because he deserves it.
And now for TAGS!! Because apparently the almighty RUclips Overlords (blessed be thy names) like it better when the tags are in the description instead of the designated tag box during upload. WHODATHUNK?!?!?!

Yes! Harry is a total inspiration. Sometimes I wish he'd make less videos about himself not making videos, and instead just work on the episodes and films. But his work is undeniably amazing, and I hope to reach or even pass his skill level some day.

Yeah, I get that. I think he does the "not posting" shtick as a troll, and that kind of fits his MO.
My guess is that he probably constantly works on his bigger projects but has just enough free time to pump out smaller things on the side, so it's better to post SOMETHING, even if it's a troll, than it is to just be dead silent for months (if not years) at a time.
It's all about the algorithms, baby.
