Thank you I appreciate that. I've been building out my full program. It should be finished by April, so I will be making lots of YT videos soon. Any thing specific you would like to see?
@@eladkatav Interesting topic. I wouldn't say I'm the expert on tactics, but I have plenty of things planned for improving the quality of the single hander though :-) Glad the wrist video helped.
You’re hitting half volleys in option 2, that’s not hitting on the rise. Option 3 is on the rise. Very tough for REC players, option 1 is the starting point. Good point re importance of visual recognition!
Respectfully, a half volley (or short hop) IS one type of "on the rise" shot. As long as the ball is rising when you strike it, you are hitting "on the rise".
@@johnnybgood1169 Yes but it's an improvised defensive emergency shot, it is not in your strike zone and not how to hit a "heavy ball" to dictate points.
Yes, all 3 types of shots he demonstrates here are situational. I was simply pointing out that half volley/short hop shots are still a type of "on the rise" shot.

Thanks for these great tips - Who are the best exponents of these shots? Will they be in action at Australian Open starting Feb 8 2021?
It's a late reply, but Schwartzman has to be one of the best high ball strikers at the moment. His timing is amazing.
New sub, how do you not have more followers? Great insight
Sorry for the slow reply. hanks for the sub! Is there anything you would like to see content on?

@@johnnybgood1169 Yes, they are. Hitting on the rise in your strike one is the ticket to higher level play. Federer is the role model.
