You can always add wiring and plumbing. you can always run the wiring under the floor and use wiremold or conduit or do it like a log cabin drill through the timbers and take a router and cut openings for the boxes. IT can be made legal in the USA if you follow the building code for log cabins. also can be put on a foundation like other buildings.
Nice just saw a house built in Finland just the same way they used about 9 guys and put in some insulation in the floors and walls and some green stuff for insulation in the woods there they cut all their wood down local and then cut it all to fit with saws and also hatchets. This build was very different and very nice to have most of it pre cut. Good Job. Grace
From watching the video it looks like its the same principle as a log cabin. At 1:43 you can see him inserting a tie or a long spike to tie all the horizontal members together to function like a stud. What is interesting is someone tried to make a house into a kit like an Ikea table.
I suppose it would depend on where you live, but my family has built several muti-story log homes without a single stud on the exterior walls. All fully permitted and signed off on here in the u.s. The material and dimensions were obviously different but the same style technique.
Wow, this is remarkable. It looks so easy to assemble and would be great in New Zealand. Perhaps you should consider setting up franchises around the world and set up partnerships with local companies.
im guessing that youre from usa right ? this is in finland and in the nordic group from what i know of atleast in sweden norway and finland u can allmost build what ever you want to live in and in these countries iven in denmark, these types of cabins is one of the most epic standards cabins out there becus their cheap and easy built and that its interial can be styleish as an apartment while the outside looks tell diffrents .
I rather like the idea of adding the floor on the inside, which keeps moisture from running in under the walls with that type of construction. It saves a lot of time, trouble, and expense of sealing between the floor and wall joints.
Very nice. But with no insulation it would be brutal for part of the year -- either too hot or too cold. Except in San Diego and places with similar year-round comfortable outdoor temps.

My teenage son will love that in the backyard. He'll be independent. At least I'll know where he is most of the time. How do I get a separate address for it from our address? Just in case there is police matter to deal with. He"ll still get his grocery from our kitchen. I just connect the sewage line to the main house.
SERIOUSLY! no subflooring or insulation....this with only be good in extremely mild temperatures and then it will rot away in just a few years. it would be good for a child's play house, but not much else.
Compared to the US, the UK has a milder climate. And, whether or not it would rot away in 10 years depends on the kind of wood used. Perhaps they used white cedar. It didn't look like red cedar.

cute. I guess in a RV park they might get away with this. But yo know most of the US, anything you can build cheaply Won't be legal because they can't tax the crap out of the owner for it. Hey, just how long did it actually take these guys to put it up?? love the design. would make a quaint tiny cottage getaway in the woods. thanks for sharing. :-D
Leave it to a guy selling flats and apartments to discourage any kind of home ownership. True, this particular model is intended as a weekend treat. But, I understand there are bigger models. As for power and water, that is optional. It's up to you. Is it temporary? That is up to the owner as to how much finishing and maintenance is undertaken.
At least this would've been a better option for the housing relief in Haiti, instead of those cancer causing, ugly blue tents that were put up! Still better than some of the crappy temp housing there now, & probably cheaper!

many of the trades in the US are subcontractors who get paid by the piece like doors and window and square in roofing sheets of drywall so they invest in labor saving tools. but much cost in us homes are government fees and permits, impact fees hookup fees and arbitrary effective codes
Actually, soft wood provides 1.41 of R-value per inch. So, 3-inches of wood would give an R-value of about 4.2, or around half of the R-value of a typical 6-inch wall of 2X4 construction. Also, keep in mind that doubling R-value does NOT double thermal insulation effectiveness.
I suspect this was merely a demonstration of how easy the kit goes together. Plumbing and heating probably was not an issue. But, I see no problem in adding it during construction.
Wow they still use a hammer? No wonder it took so long? You know they're pressure guns with nails in the guns to finish the job half the time, using old ways and old tools and outdated tools ughhhh not too smart

belleza, fortaleza, escala humana y buena madera. Excelente construcción.
Beautiful for a mild climate. It's basically an adult's "Lincoln Log small building".

They make it look so easy.

Moi, Looks good, too bad the shipping prices to the U.S.A. would make it too expensive. Would make a great outdoors sauna.
Mike
Oh Yes, Lincoln Logs! Very cute.
I love how the door swings into the window!!!!!! 😀
Does it? From my measurement, there looks like plenty of clearance to me.
Open the door fully when the window is fully open and they will hit each other!!
This is a Lilly villa product by the looks of it, I've fitted loads of them.

man i wish you guys also had a shop in the usa
Cool a plank cabin. great idea
Love that really cool, do you export to the Caribbean
This is no good for Caribbean. One hurricane and it's bye-bye.
incredible cabins
How much is the cabin shown, and if it's a kit [ which it appears to be ] would it be cheaper to assemble yourself
Neat little building.
very good, congratuleshion.... I like you hause
It'd make an awesome chicken coop :)
Nice job. But seems like you should of add the flooring before you added the walls! Also why don't you use tin for the roof? Tin will last for ever.

A nice shed.
It's like a shed -- but with windows and a stoop!
Beautiful ...love it....👍💟
Is anyone else reminded of Lincoln Logs?
I don't see any waterproofing being done either.
Is this a jinormous doghouse or a humugous tool shed?
I like it but would it withstand a tropical storm? I live in Florida. Hurricane country.

You can get a separate address for such a structure at the post office. Those I have seen are typically a 1/2 added to your address.
Muy linda la casa, los felicito,
buenos videos
construccion

I'd take 3 & stack them & have all the space I need!
Nice concept, but here in the US, one tornado and that thing would be history.
from 1:42 to 1:48 you can see long threaded rods holding together.. it is works like a loghouse..
did you see in loghouse studs? is loghouse legal?
I like get, verry good.
Ever consider fitting the flooring into a grove in the first layer of wall boards before building up the walls and adding the door?
judging by the position of the sun, it took them at least 3 hrs to make it depending on the season

Dobrý pocinek Dobrého řemesla
all blocks of wood are customizely cut that make it easy to assemble
super!
cuantos metros de largo y ancho tiene la casa?/How many meters long and wide is the house?
E os blocos em baixo? Creio que qualquer empurrãozinho eles saem dali....
Very nice... but its only for temporary, if you have no need to electricity and water.

great video, thanks!
love it can it be bigger
It's so cute.
what would it cost for a 40x40 house
just put parts togethers is easy, the problem and difficult is when you have to measure and cut all and each part you meed it to built it.

It's in the UK, of course it's legal.
Nailguns? Impact wrenches? Screw guns? Palm nailers?
1/4 the time, "...and time is money to a guy like me!" Jack Burton, trucker.
no worries they are in UK and everybody here works with no power tools lol :))

Andtherestw . C f 332..
Very impressed
VERY COOL! But I'm from the US, and its not worth 6k plus for something like that. You can build it yourself for cheaper.
This is nice if all you want is a kid's play house in the back yard.....the walls, roof, and floor look as if they have zero insulation.
+neckarsulme: glue panels on the inside.
David Conklin great, not shown....is there any kind of plumbing as well?
+neckarsulme: LOL! I wouldn't know about that I don't work for them. I just knew that we could glue insulation on the inside.

It´s like Lego, for men !!!
well done guys
I've found that this particular model is for sale at Amazon.com. I didn't check for other models.
What the cost? Website?
This is like the Ikea house.
I like it :)
The wall itself is structural.
No floor ????
It's great if you don't need insulation, electric or plumbing.
or a foundation
Cuanto cuesta hacer una casita asi
Now that you mention it, I do feel a little funny :P
What wood was it made of? Does it need to be painted?
ma è bellissima !!!
cool design, similar to how I did mine..
How much will take to build a house like this???Can anyone tell me pleeeeeease

Construcción guud work
real houses don't have studs..they have timbers
I don't understand can you explain
me gustaría k dieran seminarios sobre esto
Wow. They did this with hammers, and not a nail gun.
Nope. It just fits together like a jigsaw puzzle. You only need nails for a few things-hardly worth grabbing for the nail gun.
waar koop je dat ding
Wow they still use a hammer? No wonder it took so long? You know they're pressure guns with nails in the guns to finish the job half the time, using old ways and old tools and outdated tools ughhhh not too smart
Whatchu talkin bout, willis?
The entire thing is made of studs.
Not a legal house right? I didnt see a stud in there.
What music is this, it is awesome.
