For me, The most interesting fact was that the moon rotates at the same rate as it revolves around the earth. Of course, I knew the same side of the moon always faces the earth but I had never considered why. Now I know why I wonder what the probability of that happening was. I mean, isn't that statistically very very improbable?
Yes, you're completely right, its just too good of a coincidence, there must be some underlying mechanism that causes the moon to be tidally locked to the earth, its not just luck

Another fact I really enjoyed learning was the surface of the Moon was once geologically active covered in an ocean of magma. From what I understand the Earth collided with a planet named Theia, so I wonder was the hot magma which flowed at one time on the Moon's surface a result of the violent collision.

Considering the axial tilt of the moon closely matching with Jupiter's axial tilt, our Moon was dislodged from Jupiter along with Mercury and was orbiting the Sun directly until Earth captured the Moon. If Moon had formed with the Earth, its axial tilt would closely match with Earth's axial tilt like Saturn and Titan, it doesn't therefore Moon is captured by Earth sometime in the distant past.

It's a very specific number of elements that happen to be both present in the Moon and in Earth.

Since the universe is expanding at a rapid rate, the distance between moon and earth is also expanding at a rate of 5cm/year. With some appreciable amount of time, one day, moon will be gone forever.
unni xavio that’s not how it works. At its current rate, the moon will lock into place in about 50 billion years, of course the sun will be blown up in 5 billion years so we will never see the moon in the locked position
