- "Somebody obviously got tired of being caught without the right tool at the range," is Steve's assessment. He and his fellow Brownells Gun Techs™ Caleb give us an in-depth look at the Fix-It Sticks Field Armorer's Tool Kit. The Fix-It Sticks line of modular gunsmithing tools has been around for a few years, and the company has steadily expanded their offerings. This kit is basically the "mothership" comprised of the smaller Fix-It Sticks tool sets. It has the right tool for just about any work you might be doing on a gun at the range or in the field. It comes in a sturdy nylon soft case, with the tools neatly laid out inside like a set of surgical instruments. Let's check 'em out....
The core of the kit is a large suite of slot-head, Phillips, and Torx® driver bits, PLUS pin punches, scrapers, a Glock® front sight tool, and even a utility brush. You get a 1911 bushing wrench, a disassembly tool for Glock® magazines, AR-15 castle nut wrench, Remington 700 bolt disassembly tool, and AR-15 front sight adjustment tools as well. There's also a takedown punch AND striker channel liner installation / removal tools for your Glocks. Basically, the Field Armorer's Kit contains tools to work on just about any current-production rifle, pistol, or shotgun - and probably some older guns, too.
But wait, there's more! With the two adjustable torque driver attachments, you'll appreciate all the bolts and screws you DO NOT break from overtightening because you can precisely control the amount of torque you apply to them. All of these attachments are driven by a sturdy T-handle wrench. There's even a bench block made of non-marring polymer. Since you'll use the bench block to help in removing pins from guns, Fix-It Sticks thoughtfully included a handy small parts tray.
Everything you need in one handy little package! The Field Armorer's Tool Kit makes a GREAT gift for any gun gal or guy you know who could do with some high-quality tools before they use the wrong tool for a job and have a mishap that damages a valuable gun. - Спорт
I think it's hilarious that Caleb calls them destructions. I've been saying it that way for years. 🤣
Cleaning kit in that outside pouch and a small nylon/brass hammer combo, nice setup.
I have a different set from them and highly recommend it. The quality of the individual components is very high.
I have the ar kit & use it at work, my wife got it for me for C'mas & she has added to it over the years. Happy customer 👍
excellent tools - recommend them on all my armourer courses.
Think Caleb was out late last night on this one 😂😂😂😂😂, "you know this goes here", "and this is like wow". Lol love the vids!
I have a couple of the smaller kits that I have assigned to specific weapons platforms and they are high quality components and a must have on the field
So this is my luck with Brownell's lately. I need a part, sights, tools, whatever, and I look at Brownell's, and every time it is out of stock. I just looked for this kit, and it is out of stock.
It seems this is Caleb's first look at it too 😂
I have some of the kits they are great!!! ❤
They are cool tools but they are awfully proud of them.
Buy once, cry once.
@jeffersontool no for what they want for it I would definitely be crying a lot more than once.
About $740 worth of pride.
Great kit and I was gonna get one for myself for my birthday today but then I saw that it's $740.00 on Amazon!! I might get myself the $240.00 kit, that seems to have everything that I need in it.
I just got the all in one kit with the red torque driver and blue mini torque driver from paramount tactical for $210 oit the door with coupon, I was gonna get the one off Amazon but its $260 and only has the red full size torque driver. You probably already got urs, if so how do u like it?
The Field Armorer's Tool Kit for all that? That looks pretty sweet, I tell ya' h'wat🤠
Thanks fellas!
This would be great for a range bag. Especially if your going out for a day full of shooting with many different guns.
Perfect!
It's a nice kit but not $650 nice...
right lol mfs are high as hell. theyre made in Taiwan by slaves
Have you seen the price of any of their kits?
I really want a closer look at both of those coffee cups. ☕️
Oh damn, I desire it... Would save me so much time and face on the range, when I'm fixing stuff for other people... My poor beaten up punches and bits... I would add some basic needle files to it, and obviously the irreplaceable automatic center punch... and one of those tiny hammers with exchangeable heads *steel, brass & polymer). And then I guess that's really all one could want from a kit like this... Love it
I was thinking along the same lines for additions to this kit, all of which wouldn't add to much more bulk to the range bag.
That's actually on my birthday list. I will probably get it because I have a comp M5S on the list as well. I'm sure the wife doesn't wanna spend 1k on an optic and mount.
Now I've figured out where I went wrong, I bought a complete kit of BREAK-it-stix
Looks very comprehensive.
Does it have a half moon Sig 226 punch?
Or maybe blanks to make special punches out of?
They are nice but not priced for the every day average Joe the kit shown is expensive but very nice also
I almost bought this(or something mighty similar)...but it was out of stock. Grabbed the Wheeler stuff instead.
I love my fix it sticks torque wrenches but the bits that come with them are pretty low quality
Are there any brass punches so you don't mare everything up?
Oooh, shiny gadgets.
Barbour Creek shooting school like fixit sticks
3:09 Steve’s face here haha
Caleb must have double brewed the coffee this morning, because he is amped.
Hopefully this is better than the gun cleaning kit I bought from them, which was crap.
Noticed it has a few empty slots so you can put your own pixie stix in there.
Can it remove the gas plug put upside down in the L85A1?
Caleb, when are you boys @ Brownells gonna get a steady supply of bone charcoal?
What? No hammer? I was gifted a goofy multi-tool a couple of years ago. It has a small hammer as one of the primary tools. I need this Fix-It kit to store it in.
What range of torque wrenches?
Sorry but doesn't a 4lb hammer solve any problem?
$600+ - but still its a nice set
Nope, im out
I could retire my old tackle box.
HEY! Where's the link to buy it on Brownells???????????????????
Sold out
@Caleb
Looks like you're getting close to the age of reading glasses! Your arms don't seem to be quite long enough to read the destructions' fine printing
I picked up a set from China for 39.99.
Did it have an armorer's hammer?
The brass thing attaches to the t-handle to form a hammer.
Would include a nylon, plastic or rubber head as well?
@@DLFerg0369 I have only seen the brass one on the Fix It Sticks website.
And they are out of stock
These guys must've been former Snap on dealers because da-yuuam... that's freaking expensive.
This is coming from a guy who has Radians, ADMs, DDs, PWS', and a lot of expensive equipment.
Out of stock😂
I drove a 1964 Torque once. Wasn't fast, but man, was it a tire twister.
Probably doesn't have a pop-up workbench or gun vise.
You can buy a brand new AR-15 for how much that cost. Nice kit but holy cow. 😮
Way out of my budget. Cool tool set though.
750$
There is a difference between intriduction of new videos. However shall we confirm even if there are more than 1 or 2 videos. We should see or watch. Or it does not required a 30 minutes preview. Of it is required in RUclips I think 1 Notification is enough???
Caleb we expect more from you. At least open it and be prepared to talk about it off camera before you press record. Cmon man.
Great piece of kit but at $500+ come on....
Soooooo expensive
Fish sticks?
Yes, Cod fish sticks.
And all it costs is your first born.
$600??? Nope
import steel junk
$600+ for $50 worth of Taiwan made mini tools…nah. Hard pass.
