It is so beautiful there, and your gardens are amazing 😀 That looked like a perfect way to spend Independence Day! The muffins looked so good! Thank you for the recipe, and thank you Katie for showing what's on your bench! It's always fun to see what you are both working and creating. God bless you all 🙏
I love the 4th, celebrating our country. You're right Corie, the best country in the world.. Thanks for sharing your 4th with us. As always enjoyed it so much. God Bless America and God bless the Pressleys'.❤🎇
What a wonderful video of your families Independence day cookout at the lake. We are so blessed to be able to get a peek of your amazing family life. Thank you for sharing and GOD BLESS AMERICA 🇺🇸!
My favorite 3 " F's"..fun, fellowship, and food 😂 what a beautiful location! I'm glad y'all caught a few fish because it was so hot, y'all look like you had a great time! Thanks for sharing!❤
I'm 71yrs old and a tip I got years ago was to dust or toss the fresh fruit with flour(shake off). The reason why to do this was to help keep the fruit from sinking to the bottom of the muffin/cake batter. Your recipe seems to incorporate this tip by adding your fruit to the dry mix first. I think I'll do it this way from now on.😉😁
Fun time at the beautiful lake shared with family. The food looked delicious. Corie, your garden is doing so well & those rose bushes are going to be such a treat to see blooming each year. Katie, you did good with your clean up on your shelves. Your jewelry is fantastic....so unique. I want to plant some herbs. I wonder if it is too late. Thanks for the great show & tell video. I'm praying for Granny this week as she deals with some health issues. Hugs!
Great video. This brought me back to great times with my family. I'm not too old (50) but when mom passed away in 2009 all that ended. Exactly what she didn't want but beyond my control. I love to watch your family so thank you girls for all that you do ❤
Love the knock off roses. We have had them in every home we’ve owned in Texas and here in North Carolina. The Japanese beetles like them though. We use a lot of neem oil on them and it’s good for keeping a lot of the bugs away..
Hello to you & your beautiful family. Looks like you guys had a great 4th. Watching all of you all’s videos brings me such comfort. Blessings & love sent to you all. ❤
Great video Corie! Enjoyed seeing yas all together for the 4th of July, and then the planting of the roses, with Olive and then Katie supervising on the deck, Katie's beautiful jewelry and organized book shelf with the cool fish rock and shells. The garden is prospering real nice. I don't know about that long bodied bee pollinating but I've noticed them up here in Michigan last few years too. Never saw them before then. Hope granny is going strong. God bless yall 😊
There is so much in this one and it was all wonderful! I am in awe of NC's beauty, that lake and its views! Unreal. It's so hot and dry in Texas right now...NC looks like paradise. I wish we had a Stamey Creek nearby, but all we have is either dry or green (algae). I enjoyed this so much, thank you girls!!! 🙌🏼 💓
Enjoyed the blog! Looked like great fellowship and food. What pretty flowers! I know! Where I live in Texas, it’s been 106 degrees! Glad y’all are having a good summer so far! God bless!
I just love the videos that you do. Those pics of the lake just beautiful I just wish I wasn’t 81. So I could come and visit your area. It is just so beautiful. Keep doing what your doing and I will forever be watching. Love. carol ❤
The flowers at 22:11 are called Indian Blanket, like a black eyed Susan but colorful, I got them for the first time this year in a wild flower mix I put out and they have quickly become a favorite of mine too!
This was an awesome & fun video! Good to see y'alls day to day doings! Corie's flowers & cooking; Katie's beautiful rocks, creations & books! Y'all help me pass the time so much! Pray God blesses y'all always! Hugs from VA!
Never knew of brown trout until today (yep) and it's because there is a brown trout festival up this way that I just read about today and now you mention it in your video about a brown trout catch. It's a learning experience. And what a nice video, thanks for sharing!
Corie, you looked good in that South Carolina shirt. The compliment is coming from a South Carolinian, of course. Most people think the crescent shape next to the palmetto tree is the moon, but it's actually the crescent shape from the southern solders' hats during the war between the states.
What a relaxing video! I worked outside most of the day cleaning up after a nasty storm with high wind. So nice to sit and enjoy the beautiful nature in your neck of the woods.😊
It looked like you all had a wonderful day at the lake. I liked the rose? bushes you planted by the porch. Mixing the fruit into the flour before adding wet ingredients prevent the fruit from settling to bottom of cake of muffins.
Yeah I saw that Carolina burger with chilli!!! I used to love when I worked in mt.airy north Carolina , on Friday nights we ate our dinner at the Dairy Barn chilli and slaw on mine!!
Beautiful day. Katie. I have two copies of encyclopedia of country living. I've given them as gifts. Best book ever. Love the iridescent labradorite best. Looks beautiful with the pretty iridescent baroque pearls.i have some. My favs.
Korie, your muffins looked Perfect, and Katie, your jewelry work you showed, is Stunning. LOVE gettin caught up with two of the most interesting and delightful humans on planet earth. 💝🫶🏻💝now, I can hear y’all’s eyes rollin, knock that off!! It’s true! The viewers have spoken!!! 💯🫶🏻🔥🫶🏻💝🤗🌷🌻🌸🌻🌷
Boy ol boy that food looked great. My favorite way to do hotdogs is boil them in water first. When they plump up then grill them. More work though. You’re really fortunate to have such a nice family. Thanks for sharing
Looks like you all had a top day :). The gardens look tops. One Gladioli, we had in a rental, had a dark Purple, almost Black colour, very striking. Perhaps, if not done so already, a mattock would be helpful in the harder ground. :)
I made blackberry pie bars this summer that my company from Maine fell in love with.. you reserve part of the crust and use it as a crumble on the top.
Very Cool, Thankyou. What a Stunning spot at The Lake. Enjoy the Rest of your Summer, it is Winter here in Australia, but pretty mild compared to USA Winters. All The Best.
I had that Soldering Made Simple book. After soldering just worked for me I gave it to someone just starting out and asked them to pass it on later too.
i love going to lakes. Where is that one? You girls love flowers and stuff. Very nice. The food made me so hungry lol. God Bless yall and have a great day.
So good to see that shelf you got for your beads! I am looking to get that one. Thank you!! And I love my Haynes Manuals. I also looove finding unique rocks and shells! Great video!
Was that Watauga Lake ? When we bought our cabin resort and moved from Pittsboro, NC to Blowing Rock, NC, we used to drive to Watauga Lake when we could. 🙂
Did I see Austin put some slaw on his hot dog!? In southern West Virginia we have what we call slaw dogs. Hot dogs here are usually topped with chili (with no beans in it) and slaw and if you like, onions. Mmm mmm good! The scenery at the lake is gorgeous!
I didn't read all the comments to see if anyone told you why you fold the fruit in first to the recipes. It's so they get coated in the dry mix and don't fall to the bottom all clumped together as they bake. You can do the same with chocolate chips when called for. Just give them a light coat of flour. So the little insect flying that you asked about is a hummingbird moth. And I see there is a Foxfire book on the bookshelf. My husband's uncle was a famous whittler and he's in one of the books. His name was T Henry. He was at the school up there a few times demonstrating whittling. Love the vlog today girls. Thanks for bringing us along.
I miss fishing with my husband. My hubby was my fishin buddy and knew all the places, just not here. I'll ask a friend in the next town. It will have to be catch and release, even though the idea of a good fishfry or a fish camp sounds wonderful. Found out the source of the migraines that used to lay me out -ALOT. So annoying. I turned up allergic to a bunch of types of fish they tested me for. I still want to go.
Coating the blackberries in the dry mixture should keep the fruit from sinking to the bottom when baking. I dust glace cherries in flour when I make a cake with them, and it keeps the cherries buoyant 🙂
Absolutely beautiful country. Looked like a fun time. The food sure looked good.
Ladies yall are blessed to have a twin sister to share the joys of summer with . Enjoyed the holiday with your family . Thanks for taking us along .
It is so beautiful there, and your gardens are amazing 😀

Great nature video! The lake and the view was spectacular❣️

Yes, coating the berries with the dry mixture keeps the berries from sinking to the bottom when baking. They look delicious!
