    Hello, I'm from Instrumentation background. This video was really A LOT helpful in understanding the basics of HAZOP. The way of explanation and the animation is really amazing and hence understanding it is very easy. Watched the other videos too and shared it to my friends.     I’m a chemical engineer working as an inspector with API certifications and from what I understand HAZOP follows same principles as a RBI system (per API 580 & 581 for)

      RBIs are for assessment risk levels to develop risk prioritized inspection schedules. While the principles for HAZOPs following the risk based approach can be considered similar, the outcome is quite different and for a different purpose to identify risks within a process and ensuring those risks are managed to an appropriate level.
