There's a hack for that actually, use the burst mode (When you hold the button it will take a lot of picture so you have a lot of options) and move around, walk, play with your hair, lean back, do a hair flip so it seems more natural

oh ahh thank you so much!! 😌 it’s not a stupid question at all! i import my videos into final cut pro and then export each frame i want with the feature “save current frame.” but you can also do this on any free video editing software or the free video playing program VLC!

That is a great idea, I take a video with my iPhone and when I play it I can go slowly with my finger so if I like a pose I paused and do a screenshot and then I edit them, I cannot wait to try your idea 😍😍

Serena Yong quality doesn’t really decrease. If video is in 1080p picture will also be in 1080p ( it only decreases when you save frame of the shot in which lens was in process of focussing the object, i hope i made sense)

I would suggest using VSCO it has filters, saturation, grain, vignette etc. It's really nice.

I used to feel that way too but what I learned is...you don't know those people lol They don't matter, do your thing! If they judge you, it will be for the 30 seconds they are walking past. Make faces at them and when you crack up laughing, you'll get even better shots :-)

well, i personally don't suggest it because the quality is waaay better when it's a legit picture and when i take pictures i can immediately import them to my phone
:) modern camera's all have wfi and phone apps. you can connect the camera to your phone and the phone will function as your camera screen+remote.

Winnie The Pooh so I’m not Ashley but I have a few tips. I suggest putting your phone on selfie mood and using self timer. I usually take a ton and then pick my favorite(s) I also suggest using an editing app like line camera it has everything

You can actually get a variation of the little bendy tripod Ashley has that has a phone holding attachment/remote trigger (costs about $20), so you can use your phone in a similar fashion to a dslr, using the self timer/video method or using the remote trigger! I’m planning on doing that this summer while I save for a cheap dslr (wish I could get a $1000 camera like her but it’s just not realistic rip)

I heard there is a little thing that you plug into your phone that works like the selfie stick, you press the button and it takes the photo/records the video. I want to try and find one of those as well as a tripod. My phone has a pretty great camera, I just need the tools.
I love this! I feel like it's so awkward to constantly ask people to take pictures for me so I end up with selfies when I want full body's. Will definitely be using some of these tips!

i assume someone lives there, but i've never run into a homeowner or tenant when i'm shooting on their steps! i'd never stand on the steps of a single family house bc that's def trespassing, but most of the time i'm shooting in front of apartment buildings, in which case the tenants wouldn't really kick me out bc they don't own the whole building it that makes sense? and it seems more like a public space? i also usually shoot during the weekdays when most people are at work or on a quiet sunday to avoid this!

you can also use the burst function in your iphone....otherwise just use timer....but the bestway is to get a camera where there's phone remote function!thats like the best invention ever!! I can view my self on my phone before I snap my photos!!better result than insta boyfriend.
