10 years later and I can finally afford an iPad 😂 Got mine couple days ago off Facebook marketplace. The condition is very good and from the original owner. It was sitting in his drawer for a while but it will be great to read or watch a movie on for my upcoming long haul from Hawaii to Florida lol!! I do have an iPhone but I’m tired of using it for everything and I don’t want to pack up my laptop top so this is a great option. I do wish it had at least thumb recognition though so I don’t have to keep punching in the code. But love that it’s so portable and can fit easily even in a small purse. The battery life isn’t too bad either for being an old iPad. Might not run a battery marathon but good enough for me. And I got it for 60. So that my review for anyone who cares 😅
@@SagunManandharit does, you need uninstall the current version of RUclips and update to new version, then you have to download it will allow you to download older version.
Mine is fine running 12.5.5 watching RUclips now playing games I was gonna try to do the jailbreak thing but I think I’ll just leave it alone. What really helped it was I reset it and wiped it and it made a noticeable difference.
Mine’s on 12.5.7. I tried the jailbreak (chimera) and I had to try many times as it kept failing. In the end I don’t think it was worth it as the camera app doesn’t work, and most of the packages weren’t supported, so I reset back to normal iOS
This is wrong way to see things. I think this is still great device to read comics or books. You don't need newest software to do that and with price of 30-40 $ with this high ppi screen is like a bargain.
Who else is watching this in 2024 on their iPad Mini 2? Got one for £38 in CEX as a second iPad to use accessories that need a lightning port. I also have an iPad Air 4th Gen. I am surprised at how usable the Mini 2 is. Social media, surfing the web, youtube and stuff like that. It is a bit laggy and slow but it’s not that bad considering the age

Well i got it im 2019 im still using it without any complains ofcourse it stopped getting updates youtube not supported but you know i had youtube in this since 2019 so im using an older version of youtube it struggles for gaming but it can run games like clash of clans temple run and few others good for reading books But in the end its a mini helps me in studying I still love the camera it still supports snapchat instagram not supported ofcourse but use the older version of it 😅 If i even get a new iphone or a new ipad this thing will be one of my most favourite ipad and I’ll never forget about this ipad mini 2❤

I have the iPad mini and an old free account (2012)and another from(2015) with games and apps purchased at that time, games that only work on older devices It happens that some games only work, for example on iOS 7, others on iOS 9 and I have games that I would like to play again but it takes iOS 12 others ask for iOS 15 My pad pro 11 is on iOS 17.7 and I have games that work well although if I update it they will disappear
@@Mikozy. I don’t think so, even roblox is bit laggy but is is much simpler game. It is only really good for simple games. It is over decade old device after all. All I use it for is social media, reading books, comics, watch RUclips and let my kid play some games.
Found an iPad Mini 2 at Goodwill yesterday for 4 bucks. I feel that is worth it to just stream videos and play games. I just need to figure out how to get into it. lol

I’ve had mine since 2014. RUclips and Google maps run perfectly fine
It doesn't support youtube anymore. I purchased it for my late mother in 2016. I still have it in perfect condition.

Wrong, IOS 12.5.7 exists and came out in January 22nd 2023 which is even after Windows 8.1 recieved their final update.
