  • In this video I work on a friends Fender Player Telecaster, and change the bridge, pickguard and control plate... then I do a complete setup on the telecaster including saddle adjustment, intonation and truss rod adjustment. After the hardware replacements I polices the frets, clean the fretboard and change strings as well. By the end of the video, the guitar has taken on a new look that the owner wanted and is setup and playing wonderfully. I hope you enjoy the video and this helps you in doing your own hardware swaps and setups. Please subscribe!

My Wolfgang had a little twist in the neck when I bought it,😑 but I didn't think to check it when I bought the guitar,, the guy I bought it from I told you how he always loosens all the strings and then puts them on the rack for sale, it's like what are you doing? that's probably what put the twist in the neck. I've owned it for a couple years now and it's slowly put itself back straight probably because of the constant tension of the strings I'm not sure but the neck is straight again.😀 I'm so happy, I was thinking about buying a new neck for it but now I don't have to thank God.😎😁

Snidely looks like a fine helper or assistant, rescue cats are the best it’s kinda like they picked you when you find them like that. They don’t forget where they came from and always appreciate their person. The best cat I ever had was a big white Tom cat that was homeless or abandoned and my son saw him walking down the street and said a kitty and went to try to catch him, I thought no way he’s catching that stray cat and the next thing I knew he was standing behind me hey daddy look at the Kitty and the cat was nearly as big as he was and it was love at first sight for me I guess that cat would follow me and my boys anywhere we went on the street and he would ride in the car he loved to ride sometimes if I left the window down he would be in the car and wouldn’t get out until I took him around the block. I named him Larry and he was my best friend and everyone that met him loved him too they would say what a cool cat I don’t even like cats but Larry is a cool cat.

My kitten came out of a burning corn field with burnt paws! We nursed him back to health, and now he's 4yrs old. And an inside cat with 4 dog brothers and sisters! Thanks Marty 🤘 😊

We just spent the week camping at Racoon Mountain just south of Chattanooga. Yes it was very hot and the humidity was unbearable. At least I got to visit Rock City and Lookout Mountain.
Three of us played a few songs at our campsite

Sounds like a great time! Did you do the train car that goes up the side of the mountain?

No we didn't but we did go inside and watch it. We loved the Racoon Mountain Caverns and Campgrounds and plan to go back when the weather cools off a little. @@Ranch5150SkinWalker

The neck, fretboard and frets are the most important part of any guitar. Always treat with love and respect.

I do man! But gardens are so much work and I barely have time to do anything. In like a 3 legged cat in a sand box around here. But I would love to grow some tomatoes. And a few other things. Did a long time ago. Maybe again next summer or so.

Well done Marty…I prefer the flat bridge as opposed to the original ashtray style…I don’t like the way that metal lip feels on my picking hand…nice dark fingerboard on that tele👍

Im a little ham handed. Occasionally on Teles l accidentally hit the volume knob when l switch pickups. So on Tele style guitars l like to put felt washers under my knobs. The little bit of added friction prevents me from accidentally turning my volume down.

I have a California fat Tele that i bought new back in the 90’s. The only change I’ve made is a flat Callaham flat plate/block saddle bridge. But I’ve never been super happy with the stock pick up selection. Any upgrade suggestions?
