Northern Michigan University is actually the college that's in Marquette.
Ahh yes! I said MIT HAHA 😆
@@EatSeeTV Actually you said Marquette was home to part of the Univ. of Michigan but it's Northern Michigan Univ., its own entity. Houghton is home to MTU (Michigan Tech Univ) not MIT. But I'm a native Yooper!
Ahh okay well that's better at least it was a Michigan university. Haha
@@EatSeeTV I wasn't going to say anything. But I'm such a nerd I couldn't help it!! 😂😂😂
@@EatSeeTV HA!! I heard that one too, but I thought I reached my correction limit with Northern and I let the Michigan Tech thing go. 😂😂😂
Rock on!
Good job guys!
I cried after watching this
I have watched your pictured rocks post, your tauqunemon falls post , and now this one. I enjoyed all 3 immensely. You do a great job of detailing the attractions of each area. I have lived in Michigan for 62 of my 67 years. I have long known that Michigan generally is a well kept secret from a lot of people around the country. When they think of Michigan, they think of the auto plants in Detroit and Flint and the crime rates associated with those and other cities in the state. However that is southern Michigan. What most people are not aware of is the beauty that is the northern half of the state. You might think if people ever look at a map and see all the water surrounding the state, the 11,000 inland lakes and all the National and state forests, they might think this is a place worth visiting. It certainly is. You guys did a great job bringing out the natural beauty and charm of the northern lower peninsula, and the upper peninsula. Just one very minor detail, just to give the people of Marquette and Houghton their just due. Northern Michigan University is the college in Marquette, not The University of Michigan, which is in Ann Arbor, in southeast Michigan, and Michigan Tech University sits in Houghton, not MIT which is in Massachusetts. Oh, congrats on your 50k subscriber. I see today it is up around 63k.
Está bien bonito como quisiera trabajar allá
@4:27 is my new desktop background WOW!
No wait @6:06 is my desktop background
@6:21 it the one seriously now
Or maybe @6:36 ?
OK @16:34 THAT'S the one!
I can tell you the reason I subed "joie de vie" You guys have it by the bucket load.
there is tons of free camping in michigan. in state forests or national forest land you can camp for free with certain restrictions. certain small distance from some waters, rivers and such. also a few miles from designated campgrounds. the upper peninsula is mostly state and national forest land.
I'll be taking my RV to this are come summer time, your videos make me super excited for my trip! great content:)
exactly 50.000 subscriber was me, rené from germany, bavaria. nice pictures you do... happy days......
Yay, thank you! 🎉
You both deserve the 50k. Your vlog did more for Michigan than much of the Pure Michigan campaign. Now the challenge: come back for 4 more weeks next summer and find even more things to do. If you want to hang 50 miles north of Detroit my front yard has hookups on flat tarmac, with Internet. Lots to do and see.
Thank you Ernie, we'd love to come back! We'll have to see if @puremichigan would be open to a partnership. We know there's so much more to explore!
Congrats!! 50k!! WooHoo!
Pretty state that Michigan is.
Yes! Lake Superior is COLD!!!😬😁
🥶
I miss it so much! My parents took us every summer!!
Congratulations!
Thanks!
Thanks!
Your excitement at 50K was nice to see! Congrats!
Just FYI Northern Michigan University is the school in Marquette not the University of Michigan. Also Houghton is not home to MIT but Michigan Tech University. I'm originally from Marquette and this city is simply adorable. The city continues to grow but still embraces the nature that surrounds it.
After watching the Michigan blogs I'm definitely going to be watching all your videos. Well done!!
Congrats we love u guys
Thank you! 😊
We visited the UP this week - utterly awesome - The very top (Copper Harbor) reminded us of Sweden - The UP is breathtaking - Thank you for sharing your adventures 💞
With it being august, that’s as warm as that water gets
I'm sure!
Congrats on the 50K!
FYI Northern Michigan University and University of Michigan are two seperate colleges 6.5 hours apart.😉
Congratulations:))))))) 50K++++
Thank you! 🎉
Just subscribed and really enjoyed the Michigan series. The videos were great; very interesting and fun to watch.
Congratulations from
Jake and Vernice Minnesota.
Thank you Jake and Vernice!
I just recently discovered your channel. As a born and raised Michigander, now living in Tampa Bay, I just loved watching all of the Michigan videos! So many memories. We have friends that have a vacation home on Lake Michigan about a mile south of Silver Lake Sand Dunes so, that video was especially fun to watch. We used to visit Traverse City every summer when we lived in Michigan too. Such a beautiful state.
That's funny! You moved to my old home while I went north for the summer. Michigan is a lovely state, glad our videos could bring back good memories.
Congratulations many many more to come.
Gorgeous place, you did a great job with this video!
I’ve been backpacking in the Porkies many times.
That's awesome I bet it's great for Backcountry camping.
Thanks for exploring and showing off my home state!
Yay!!!!L. 50K subscribers.
Wohoo!
Congratulations 👏😀
Michigan is a great RV destination. We have been there 4 times
It is a great RV destination!
Love the Michigan series! I'd note however, that Michigan actually has a TON of option for free/boondocking. You can camp for free almost anywhere on National forest lands and most state forest lands, and in aggregate Michigan has more of those than anywhere east of the Rockies. Also, much of the CFA(commercial forest access) land is also open to camping for free as long as you contact the land owner(usually a forestry or mining company), and I've NEVER been turned down for aa camping request. In a couple of decades of camping in Michigan, I've only used a park once, as it was more of a family get together. Otherwise, just find a nice spot in the National forest and you are good to go!
We never said there wasn't any just that the free camping there is is all remote areas. Glad to hear there are lots of good choices, but from our research it wasn't near anything we wanted to visit and cell service was shoddy. Since we work from the road, we need service. Thanks for sharing this tip for others though!
@@EatSeeTV I understand the need for good cell service, that's an issue in much of the rural U.S, and I know you didn't say it was entirely unavailable, but I was just replying to the comment you made that there is not very much free camping in Michigan(4:45 time stamp) when really it is VERY abundant, likely more so than anywhere east of the Rockies!
Congrats on 50k - KOKO 🖖🏻🙏🏻👍🏻😘
Thank you!
Congratulations on 50K
Thank you!
Congratulations 🎉🍾
Thank you so much!
I live in Michigan. I'm happy you took in the beauty of this state. All things considered, Michigan is a great place to live. Welcome.
Thank you :) It's a great state!
#CONGRATS50K
So deserving. We love watching all your videos, tutorials, educational videos and all of your journeys. So inspiring. We are heading to the UP in Sept and cant wait…
I love the UP. Such a beautiful place. FYI 🙂 The college in Marquette is Northern Michigan University and in Houghton the college is Michigan Tech University.
CONGRATULATIONS!
Thank you 😊
You guys are awesome!!! You inspire me to go with my wife to see Michigan's beauty! The state I grew up in!!
Yay enjoy!
One word, regarding mosquitoes: Thermacells!
Congratulation amigos G bless you

It's a great state for sure! Thanks for joining us
@@EatSeeTV 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🙏🏼
Vengan a vivir a Mexico van a vivir felices todo es natural. Saludos
Really enjoyed your UP video. There’s a lot to do in Marquette. Northern Michigan University is in Marquette, not University of Michigan and Michigan Tech University is in Houghton, not MIT. The Jampot rocks! Thanks.
Marquette is the home of Northern Michigan University.
YES YES YES You did it...50.9k as I write. We enjoy your channel content and look forward to your Vlogs. We were in the upper a couple of years back.. Loved it. Can't get back just now...Covid. We're in Canada...Ontario for now.

Glad to have you here
Love the U.P. Such a shame that you missed doing the mine tour. It is an awesome tour. Great video!
We heard great things
Congratulations on your subscribers. Great video on Michigan. We loved that area and look forward to returning. :)
Yes! They are gorgeous I’ve been up in the upper peninsula all over there’s old mind to look at caves and waterfalls the lake superior when you walk the beaches you can find agates in Petoskey stones! Yeah it’s absolutely beautiful up there! I am retired now and I don’t know if I wanna go south or north
That is a tough decision. They're both so beautiful!
Been to Isle Royal twice. If you are into hiking, this is a great place. Well worth the trip. An absolutely beautiful national park.
Correction, Northern Michigan University is the university located in Marquette, not University of Michigan. Born and raised in Michigan, met my wife of 51 years at NMU. Enjoyed your video. Glade you enjoyed our beautiful and diverse State.
Yes thanks I was told that after it aired. Too bad you can't edit things after the fact haha
I am a life (66yr) Michigander. I love my state, and you guys did a beautiful job showing your experience here. While very different, the east coast also has much to offer. The Au Sable river is breath taking, and a world class trout fishery. Take Care.
Thank you! Glad to have you here. :)
Beautiful, informative, well put together video. I can’t wait to go up north this weekend ❤
Enjoy and safe travels!
I saw a Monarch butterfly this week, probably on its way to Michigan and Mexico. Even butterflies do that!
Haha yes ! You're probably right. 🇲🇽 Bound!
I knew you would love the Upper Peninsula. It’s awesome. Sad you are leaving there and or left there. Glad you to those place in Marquette and Coppertown. My great grandfather worked in the copper mines. Plus he made furniture too with my grandfather. They lived in Calumet. That fish did look good you ate. My sister and I still have rocks we saved from Petoskey and Harbor Springs. Congratulations on 50,000. That was cute you at the end you were both doing the happy dance. So happy for you both. Have a great night and week and see you soon!
My mom was in the Jam Pot with you guys. She got COVID and passed last week.
Oh my gosh, this is so so so sad. We can't imagine what you and your family are going through. We send our condolences, although I know that doesn't help much. Who is your mom? Please message us at directly by email eatseerv@gmail.com.
50k nnniiiiiiiiiice. I saw the part where you were on the beach. I'm talking to the screen "Look at the rocks" Look at the rocks" then you did. Hahaha
Haha! 🪨
Did you visit any ghost towns in the UP? FAYETTE ghost town is wild…old mining town.
No we did not! Thanks for recommending.
Congrats!!!!! Here's to many more!!
Thank you Beth!
Oops, Hough-ton is not home to MIT, but MTU.
Yes thank you!
Geez you guys, get a room. LOL! Due to our motorhome still in the our Michigan UP travels are being canceled. I’m making new plans towards Tybee Island in Georgia. You surely enticed us with beautiful scenery. Travel safe! Dan - Oklahoma’s Tumbleweeds
Dang, sorry to hear you're having issues.
That area of Georgia is beautiful! I'm sure you'll enjoy it. We had loads of fun in Savannah too. - Dennis
Woooooo congratulations! 🌟
Thanks Tara! We appreciate you always watching! You're on of our OG followers ☺️

Thanks for all the memories- not sure where you are heading next, you might want to go to Apostle Islands while you are up at Lake Superior
Great video on my home state of Michigan. Keep up the great stories, maybe one day you will reach the 1 million subscribers mark like someone else I watch did.
Houghton is home to MTU not mit … Michigan technology university also in Marquette has NMU which is northern Michigan university
Fond memories of my girlhood. Thanks
Love that, thanks for traveling with us! - Dennis
do you find the sprinter chassis big enough?
Lived in the UP many years; now I live just south of the bridge. Know well all the places you highlight in this video. To me, the UP is the most beautiful, wonderful place on earth. Thank you for this wonderful video. God bless you both.
Hard work and perseverance has paid off 50,000 subscribers 🍹🎊🎉🍷🍹. I have been following you since the RV super show Video.
Congratulations.
This was a particularly interesting video with a lot of great scenery.

CONGRATULATIONS on the reaching 50,0000 subscribers. We love your videos. Also thanks for sharing our Great State of Michigan. Lots to explore up in the U.P. I am just overwhelmed with all the RUclipsrs coming to our state this year. Happy camping...
Thank you!
We didn't expect Michigan to be as crowded as it was this summer either.
We're happy to hear you enjoyed traveling your home state with us! - Dennis
Thank you for showcasing our state. Love your videos!
Yay, so happy to hear you enjoy traveling with us!
Northern Michigan University is not part of the University of Michigan, but is it an excellent school!
Why did you only explore the west side of lower Michigan?
Time really.
Recommendation: Go to the UP in the fall--especially the Porcupine Mountains. Some of the most beautiful sights you will ever see.
We are in Michigan too! We are also full timers. We started in Wisconsin at Osh Kosh Air Venture and we are doing Michigan in the opposite direction from y’all. We are currently in Petoskey and then on our way to Traverse City. We appreciate all of your tips! I am sure we crossed each other’s paths along the way. Really wish we had run into y’all! Have fun!!
That's awesome! Enjoy!
Usa tiene cosas bonitas pero ustedes extrañan México.
Corrections - Marquette, not campus for UofM, but Northern Michigan University, not related. Also Houghton is not the home of MIT, it is the home of MTU, Michigan Tech University. You may have pissed off some college's but it was a great showcase of our UP. :) congrats on 50k+1
Congratulations 🍾 and great Video ❤️
Thank you so much!
Awesome video. I didn't see any solar panels on the rv during the drone shoot. Are you using DC/DC charger. Thanks Don
Yes we have the alternator charger. We didn't have time to get our panels fixed before we hit the road for the summer so it's on our list for winter.
What a magical number- 50k +! So thrilled for you. You deserve it. I've once again been entertained, informed and taken on a wonderful journey. I do so enjoy that which you provide here. You share your joy! That's wonderful. Thank you. 💖 🙏 🇳🇱 🙋♀️ 🇳🇿
Yay thank you so much Oma!
We always look forward to hearing from you every week.
Thank you so much for traveling with us! - Dennis 🎉
@@EatSeeTV The pleasure is all mine...💖
Congratulations! You've come a long way baby!
Haha yes we have! Thanks for joining us here
Spectacular. You keep overloading my bucket list 😃. Travel safe.
Hahaha 😁
Congrats on 50K subscribers!!!
Thank you
thanks for another beautiful video of our great state!!! can you tell we love it here? so heres an interesting recently discovered fact about copper country, its now believed that the Keeweenaw peninsula had a big role in the bronze age due to the purity of the copper in the region as some of the purest in the world and traceable back to copper country from bronze age artifacts
Got a picture of my wife with the record snowfall sign, thanks for the memories! Love UP.
That's Awesome!
Thanks for traveling with us! - Dennis
@@EatSeeTV When we went to Michigan and UP at the time we didn't have a tow car, just our Thor ACE and that kinda limited seeing a lot of places. Since then I've retired and our special-needs daughter aged out of school in Georgia, same day same school, we bought us a car and it's so nice to get around in it. On that road trip we stopped in Green Bay, Wisconsin and my wife and daughter had lunch while I toured Packer Stadium. My dream bucket list! I've been a Packer fan since the 60's.
That's so cool, thanks for sharing!
We've heard that the stadium tour is worth doing even if your not a packer/football fan.
Glad to hear you're enjoying your travels with the fam! - Dennis
Cliff jumping! Jumped off some big ones in my time but scaling back now to 25 ft or less. Watched two people injure themselves in front of us at South Point on Big Island two weeks ago and gave it a pass. Who knew, UP? Looks awesome and right time of year to be there.
Whoa, and that's why I (Dennis) do not jump off cliffs!
This is definitely a good time of year to explore the upper peninsula. The weather was mostly agreeable and we missed the hordes of biting flies! - Dennis
