  • The street photography POV saga continues in Bressanone, where I explore my hometown with a very special lens: the Zeiss Tessar 45mm 2.8.
I adapted this lens - from C/Y mount to E mount - and went for a photowalk pursuing the very same feeling on film photography on digital. Fully manual lens, zone focussing (supported by focus peaking) and light hearted shutter.
I have to say that the experience was definitely similar to shooting film! Even on such a big sensor, this vintage glass made my day.
What's your favourite photo from this shoot? Would you like to see a more in-depht comparison between old and new Zeiss glass? Let me know below in the comment section!

The shot of the lady on the bike was your money shot. I also love using this lens due to its size. It renders beautifully

Hey thanks for your comment! I'm glad to hear from other people adapting vintage glass, I was also definitely pleased with the image quality and the out of focus. Do you use it on film as well?
