My favourite comp is about 60dp for an odyssey and screens, then a low-tech deathblob that's going nowhere, that nothing can approach. All the fun of soloing fleets with the odyssey's hit and run style, but you can kill them faster than they deploy with the odyssey, and the attention you draw will prevent the blob from being overwhelmed.
same thought process but shield shuntet on the hegemony variant would probably work fairly well, and one would save tons of OP to be used on other stuff. `built in` shield shunt, aux thrusters and maybe exp mags. then for example ballistic rangefinder and tons of mid/long range guns. would be interesting to pilot as its vulnerable
It's interesting but you still need to have a lot of good PD to go Shunt. The problem is that if one of the capital ships is destroyed, there will be a breach and their reaction time is really long, which makes the destroyers vulnerable. But the Shunt version is very nice to pilot.
@@MisterG_Gaming how the escort command works now should help the situation somewhat. then maybe escort package `built in` on destroyers to escort. nice for capitals, especially fast capitals like the retribution. sunders for example are pretty good at this now with the right setup

@@shauryashah6785 The maximum you can use is 10, after that you need mercenaries to compensate. You can use the trick I show on the video to create your own mercenaries. For skills, right before your officer is leveling, save and try a battle. If the skill pool isnt good, reload, redo your battle without officer, search another battle, save and try again. Each different fight can change the skill pool. That's the way if you dont use console command.

How about faction themed builds that only use ships from what the factions use in their own fleets? Could work out the best possible setup for each faction then compare them.
@@owa1985 Hello, it's a tier 2 skill in Leadership called Officer Training. If you have hard time to get all the skills it needs on your officers, do a battle without him (when near to level up) and then use your officer next time.That way, you will shuffle the skills selection.

With polarised armor+impact mutigation you`re almost unkillable by conventional weapons, even HIL barely scratch the paint out of them. Also with free flux these onslauts tend to de-flux enemies before they can even scratch the paint.

Actually derelict operations + support doctrine is the most powerfull build, i was killing 3 big remnant ordos at once, you just need to know what ships to run (all capital for deployment time) i was running 9 ligions 24 deployemt points per capital. You have to d mod them correctly and 3 green mod them, it is not easy, but when setup ai kills 3 remnant ordos, i am not going to tell weapons, fighters and hull mods cause this will ruin the fun

expanded crew Smod is a waste, yes cost 2 more OP from ECCM on Condor but you get more off Smod on that than the 2 OP
Good point but if I dont do that, I cant use Resonator because it only have 1 OP left with smod expanded deck crew

What you did is mediocre, get good, 3 remnant ordos at the same time without mods is the bechmark

You didnt show how you can kill 3 maxed remnant fleets in one battle, this means 720 dp +- of remnants
Your build wont be able to handle such battle cause of peak operation time low on half of your fleet, you will just run out of time on smaller ships
