Caffeine addiction worse than alcohol addiction is the craziest take I've seen all year
Yeah that's my top. I'm so addicted to coffeine that i litterly can drink a lot of coffes during the day. Especially at work, that shit is boost. I dont like alchol, but as for coffeine i would litterly kill somone lol!

I also heavily disagree with weed being worse than alcohol. I’ve been addicted to both, alcohol addiction without a doubt is worse than weed addiction. It’s more addictive and ruins your body more. In the worst cases you can’t quit cold turkey because the withdrawal symptoms can kill you

Alcohol addiction is probably the worst one to quit, the withdrawal are super intense and you can likely die from them and the best part is even if you did quit you‘ll see people nearly everyday consuming that sweet fermented juice reminding you all the time how much fun you could have if you only get a little drunk. In my opinion alcohol is even worse than heroine, but there are many over things you dont want to deal with.

The way he ranked alcohol he ranked it as people who drank responsibly. Real alcohol addicts get their whole family messed up, abuse they family, and all of that. It’s probably the worst addiction as it doesn’t just affect you but it also affects other.

The thing with addictions is that you know they are bad, but you don’t even realize what you’re getting yourself into when you start them. For example, porn addiction is something that I had a problem with for a while, I would go a day without reading terrible porn and then I would just make excuses to read more and I didn’t want to stop because it made me “happy” because of dopamine, but i didn’t actually like it. You can find terrible things on just youtube alone. Every time i finished reading it, I would come back to my senses and write
down “its not worth it” or something, eventually I was able to stop, however I still do have the urge and the thing is…If you come back to it after a break it gives more dopamine than ever. So, NEVER START IT IN THE FIRST PLACE, ESPECIALLY IF UR YOUNG LIKE ME! I hate myself for it, addiction is like arguing with yourself once you figure out the terrible things that come with it.
I know, that's the worst part, is that once you've "quit" something for a little while the allure becomes that much stronger. After a binge you tell yourself that you're never doing that again, but at that point you could almost say it's downright _easy_ to walk away (almost). The moment you stop, your burnt-out-ness and self-disgust is fresh, so you have feelings motivating you to stay away. But all too quickly, after just a few days or so, you become no longer sick of that thing you were addicted to, and you almost feel like you've "earned" another session of it. At that point comes the true test, where you're relying on willpower alone. And that test will come back over and over again, with your brain telling you "wouldn't it be nice to come back after all this time and enjoy a nice such-and-such afresh? You've earned it." And each time you just gotta say "I don't care how fresh the enjoyment is; no!"

@@ahmadradwan5423Many people watch/read it, but it’s not okay, especially if you’re younger than 16 because your brain isn’t ready for that inappropriate content (even if your were already dirty minded). When you read/watch porn, your brain gives you a lot of dopamine, so much that when you do good on a test or something, you don’t feel as happy or rewarded because you get so much more from your addiction. The only advice I have for you is to write down something bad about your addiction every time you regret doing it or feel like doing it, then look at it and tell yourself not to do it. It’ll take a lot of strength and determination to get over the need of it, but i believe you can do it.

Since not everyone understood what he meant by friends addiction, I am here to explain it to you. There are people out there who just can't stay for a day alone at their house or just alone in general. They are addicted to hanging out since it's a distraction for them and an opportunity to run away from their problems. These type of people have a lot of free time and will call you and message you everyday to hang out with them or to talk to them because they have nothing else to do, they don't have a career or goals or hobbies because they would always choose staying in confort then actually pursuing for something.
And they will drag you down by just wasting your time yapping about tiktok trends and boring things in general

Some people do take it far enough to where they experience some sort of congestion due to the irritation from smoke, but that's about it. Weed smoke has far less carcinogens and next to no harmful chemicals aside from the lighter fumes you use to light it. It does far, far less damage to your lungs both because the weed itself is less harmful, but also the way it's smoked. With cigarettes, you're puffing pretty much constantly, giving your lungs no chance to flush out harmful substances, soot, and resin, and your lungs get permanently damaged. but with weed, you take 1 or a few hits, and you're good for a while, or maybe all day, or all week depending on the frequency of the user. Not to mention the fact that many, many athletes smoke weed and not cigarettes. And if you stop smoking weed, the side affects and health affects completely heal and resolve, while tobacco does permanent damage. "provides no benefits" if you're talking about physical health benefits (for the average person), thanks captain obvious. Do you even understand why people use weed? it's literally medically prescribed for for both mental and physical therapy. It does actually treat the symptoms of quite a few conditions, especially for older people. Not to mention the wide array of mental health conditions it is used to treat. "alcohol is *slightly* worse" alcohol kills millions, 3 million per year, over 5% of all deaths per year, while weed has killed absolutely nobody, ever.

What constitutes an addiction? I work out and take pre workout and my tolerance is rly high. I take it because of adhd but I can work out without it. I’m just tired the whole time tho

It's basically asking the questions about who one is, the insecurities, the pet peeves, etc. The questions are then put into reflection until one figures it out and either improvement needs to be made. Or it needs to be released; as in to let go.

The addictions I have: music: i listen to it for almost the whole day. Shopping: I don’t put myself in debt but it gives me so much dopamine. Video games: I will play video games for hours on end, I’ll play them all night or all day and get so hyper focused I don’t notice time passing, it is not healthy.

Usually I don't go using strong words like addiction cause of its intensity...
If used frequently and lightly, the word loses it's meaning, but where do we draw the line. Hear me out.
I say i like gaming and would like to spend my free time doing so, sure i won't me gaming 10hrs and would not stop at 1 hour...
But the thing is, there are times when ur whole squad is up and ur having so fun, the gaming session turns into a gaming marathon. Is it addiction? Is it where the line is drawn? I don't know, but these uncertain situations (daily tasks, light gaming, locking in game zone, with squad, new meta) it's what makes it special... Or it's just a regular never ending cycle with nothing new with progression... Now I'm excluding gensin impact or any other gatcha or mmorpg gamers... I'm talking about MOBA, FPS, RTS, etc... It's not all the grind but i can say all this because i play games, and it's good in it's own way...

As a coffee drinker it’s an amazing wake-up call. Just don’t drink it throughout the day and you’ll get used to the jitters when you drink it daily.
Duck is absolutely right about Video Games being one of the worse addictions but there isn't a absolute number you should stick to while playing video games. It's only a problem when it starts to stop you from doing what you should.

As someone addicted to fentanyl at the moment, ill 1000% take friends social media and maybe even caffeine as non-addictive things. Everything else pretty much been addicted to heavily before i gave all my time to the fetty. Going to rehab and jail and living outside constantly is not fun at all trust me.
