It's called cysticercosis. It's more common than you would think.

I looked up cysticercosis on the internet and it does say that usually there are no long term consequences if it is treated. It did say, though, that depending on where it is located, it could be life-threatening and that there were some documented cases where there were sign of severe dementia. One case I found showed the dementia was reversed. So is the reversal of Jr’s ideology caused by this cyst?

Unfortunately, brain cells don't regenerate and grow back. Once gone, gone forever.
This is what doctor friends used to tell me. It was a reason why many of them did not consume alcohol. That was established medical wisdom of the 20th Century. In this century, major medical centers have confirmed that brain cells regenerate and do so quite rapidly after injury (such as from alcohol).

Also, localized inflammation causes microglia to migrate to that area and cause pretty much permanent dysregulation.
This is why you're supposed to cook your food. We also have things called deworming medication (IDK if it works for brain worms).
