Steve Thanks for the review. We are about to release the Multi-CAM version of the Choo Choo Vision software. This software upgrade will allow you to have 2 video windows in a single browser, The video windows can both show video from up to 5 different cameras. For example, Window 1 can do a slideshow of video feeds from your trackside cameras, and Window 2 can be the CAB-CAM. Or if you are doing switching, Window 1 can be the trackside camera and Window 2 can be the CAB-CAM.
Wow! That will be super cool. That will be a lot easier than having multiple browser windows open side by side. I’ve seen people use them with three browser windows open next to each other on a larger monitor.
Very interesting… the first video you showed of the choo-choo vision. I was not impressed with the quality of the camera. But then it got me thinking… When you’re in a train, everything is blurry. Nothing is in focus when you’re moving it 40 to 60 miles an hour. So in that sense, the choo-choo vision is more realistic…. Thanks again, Steve.
All that choochoocam is, is a raspberry pi zero w with the camera module. IT should be capable of much higher resolution than that, so they must have limited it somehow. I have a couple of those pi's and a camera, and was considering making my own similar setup from scratch.
Good info.
Very good review of both cameras. I liked the cube camera the best but as use said that is on SD card and the choochoo you can bluetooth to phone or conputer. Thanks for sharing both with us.
GOD BLESS 🚂💖🚂💖🚂💖🚂💖
Nice video 🚂🛤️🎥👍🖖
WARNING: The little cube cameras can spontaneously combust even when not being charged!! I had one on my desk and it just started burning. I was home so I could put it in the sink to burn. Had I been away, my house would have burned down. SO don't store the cube camera in a tunnel. My camera was at about 50% charge had been used earlier in the day.
Good advice
Very, very cool. A whole new dimension to the hobby
You showed an IP address, idk if it matters tho. great video!
192.168.X.X is reserved for the local address space. It doesn't matter very much if you share that information online.
Yeah, everyone has a similar local address so no worries on that.
Steve I want to know where to buy it from

That is interesting, although a small GoPro with a WiFi connection could give similar-ish results. For me, the lag was giving me motion sickness! Another option to consider would be a cheap FPV setup from a drone, lots of those tend to be very close to lag-free.
