Thanks for posting this. I remember watching this on TV, and had always wanted to see it again.
JOHN DENVER as Dewey! This was the first time I ever saw John Denver because my dad was watching McCloud. I became a HUGE fan of his after this show. He was so cute!
this show has funky incidental music. I love it!
these shows were gold and the networks didn't know what they had.

I wondered who was one of the guest stars for this episode it's John Denver the singer well it will get me well aquainted with the show when I start watching it on DVD I absolutely love his music
Rockford still airs. It's part of the "Catch ME if you Can" programming block on Sunday evenings. Cannon airs at 5pm, followed by Rockford at 6pm, and that's followed by Kojak at 7pm, and then a 2-hour Columbo movie wraps up the mystery/crime drama programming block 8-10pm.
LOVE THIS EPISODE : ED AMES DOING ONE HECK OF A JOB ACTING IN THIS ROLE!
This was when TV was at it's best, I remember this well, loved it :)

I love this show; it has a great mixture of comedy and drama. I have caught a few episodes on METV recently. It stinks that in the US they don't even have available by dvd or streaming seasons 3-7, which contained most of the best episodes.

Even today people steal livestock. There was a heard of cows stolen from a farm in Connecticut recently and they turned up atan auction in New Jersey.

Wait...how do two men slaughter 30 head of cattle in the back of a moving semi trailer in half an hour, with no blood, bones, or hides remaining, and hand out perfect cuts and sides at the end of it? Those guys should forget about cattle rustling and instead go into the superhero business!
I agree...man, that was asinine. I wanted to see some Dennis Weaver stuff besides Gunsmoke...& it has been a long time me seeing McCloud, but I knew I liked McCloud years ago...maybe I did not catch that stuff then..much younger, etc.
If there is too many like that, I will have to go back to GS years 1-8 with Chester.
I like a movie or show to be mostly realistic...so much crap on TV back then...and now worse...they dumb down, etc.
