Gigi, I'm turning 70 this year... I'm going all in with 2025 Ford F-550 4x4 Diesel CrewCab and a 2025 Arctic Fox 1140 dry bath truck camper, with 800W Solar and 800 of Batteries. (I'll be paying cash for both.) But, my main income is Social Security... So, we will see how it goes.(I'll be mainly doing Dispersed Camping.) When I was 18, I went full-time in an Old Truck and Camper for 15 years. The new Trucks and Campers are much better built and insulated; not to mention the amenities... Gigi, Anyone should be able to do this lifestyle with enjoyment and success... You won't believe the Enjoyment it will bring you...
@@p.robertbranconi4127 i must say i'm a bit jealous lol, i fell in love with the AF 1140 when I decided to get a truck camper, i already had the truck from a fifth wheel setup. That 1140 i figured was the one 😍, then I saw it 😲 on the same truck i have, dually 3500 n was sick to my stomach with disappointment because holy cow no way, the truck looked like it was screaming in agony 😂. I then stumbled upon a NL 10-2, it's perfect for my trucks capabilities. So congrats on doing your homework, n creating a great solar setup too! 🍻

Hey Kevin great video there's two ways to keep your head above the water when you're in the water. You can tread water and worry about how long you can tread water for or you can float on your back breathe in and out slowly and enjoy the beautiful sky when the water gets too rough then it's time to get out but enjoy the float I think you've made the right choice😊
Life is too short to Not do what you really want to. Regrets are hard to live with, you don't want to spend energy wishing you'd done something. Do everything you can while you're young and healthy, life changes in a heartbeat. Safe travels and GOD bless

Ok, not gonna lie, that pantry is awesome! One small suggestion you might want to try. Fry the beef until golden brown first, then add the rest of the ingredients. Gives a great flavor for any beef sauce. Works great for tacos, spaghetti sauce, and of course, chili. Unions always give a nice balance to tomatos as well, since they naturally turn sweet when cooked. You're living the dream, Kevin! I however, go back to work on monday (for now...).
This is easy just go to the car wash and ask to fill your tanks or any big commercial shops that you can fit into. Just ask! For dumping just use biodegradable soap and dump anywhere. Save you so much time and fuel driving around.
Well, the river and the fir trees are beautiful, even if the falling snow sounds "spooky." The trees have their stories to tell, I guess they are just showing their resilient side by making a sound because they can. 😅🌳 🌲 🌴

Great content! Two things for you if you like... Invest in a set of good tire chains. Next to a winch, they are the most for the least when it comes to snow. The weight of the camper and a set chains, and you'd have to really try and get stuck. Number two... buy a coffee percolator!!!! : ) And yes, the first site is busy in the summer, the second site isn't, but the road is very rough.

I understand the love of freedom you feel in this nomad lifestyle. My best friend lived most of his life in this manner while I worked full time with 6 months break every half decade. I am pleased with my gov. pension while my friend's pension barely gets him by. So a word of advice, keep this in mind.

My hubby and I have been truckcamping for nearly 30 years. When we can't be out there camping, the next best thing is watching others! Lol! Hubby will be retiring soon and we'll be on the road a lot more!
I also really like walking in the winter on the trails on my parent's property. The trees were sooo pretty tonight and it's so quiet and peaceful. It was -9C and I barely felt it, well, except on my face lol. It even started snowing quite hard. I'm in Nova Scotia. And sometimes we wish we had gotten farther sooner in life (I wish the same), but sometimes it just wasn't meant to happen then. Here's to your channel growing this year 🥳

I am so glad you have a video today. You saved me from stark panic! I was past Anxiety. I have been so scared as all my electrolytes and sodium my glucose all of it plummeted and my muscles wouldn't work. It sent me South so to speak. I took two of my potassium pills, two bananas and an orange and a cup of chili to get back the salt. It put me in full panic as I felt I was dying and I turned on RUclips and there you were. I am subscribed and love your channel, heck I just love you!! Your videos are so peaceful, calm and beautiful. You remind me of my boss and his brother. You are a dead ringer for them. I feel that van life/RV life should be a hobby for anyone.. We all need that cheap health insurance working for some company and build our retirement with a good professional job. that way we don't struggle in the long road ahead of us. RUclips is a Hit or Miss if you'll become liked by everyone in the world. Life is to short to please strangers around the world lol.
If you are headed to the states, my suggestion would be (before April as it will be too hot after that -- not to mention the area becomes abandoned) goto Quartzsite, AZ (The winter RV capital of the world - you can buy a 6 month pass for $180 and that included a dump station, a garbage bin and fresh water).. If you plan on staying in the US for the summer I would suggest getting the New Mexico state park pass.. I think it is still $60 for a year, and it allows you to stay in all their state parks boondocking for free (usually fresh water and a dump station are available for use within all the state parks and is included) or you pay a very reduced rate per night with the pass for hookups etc.. You can only stay in any park for a period of 2 weeks before you have to goto another park, but then you can return -- I spent the entire summer of 2018 in the New Mexico state parks -- It can get hot (100F+) so if you don't have solar with the ability to run your A/C you probably want hookups... My plan is to be in Canada as soon as possible myself :-)

We’re supposed to get a snow storm here in Belleville Illinois and St.Louis Missouri starting around 03:00 am Sunday but the meteorologist never get it right so it could start sooner , so I’m gonna start a fire in the fireplace and put out my extra twin mattress right by the fireplace and make some hot coco and watch some Christmas specials ❤

I am so glad you have a video today. You saved me from stark panic! I was past Anxiety. I have been so scared as all my electrolytes and sodium my glucose all of it plummeted and my muscles wouldn't work. It sent me South so to speak. I took two of my potassium pills, two bananas and an orange and a cup of chili to get back the salt. It put me in full panic as I felt I was dying and I turned on RUclips and there you were. I am subscribed and love your channel, heck I just love you!! Your videos are so peaceful, calm and beautiful. You remind me of my boss and his brother. You are a dead ringer for them. You have a doppelganger here in the US. If you are coming to the States I am near Lake Tahoe! Skiing and snowboarding is Excellent in Nevada and South Lake Tahoe!! Come here Kev! I feel that van life/RV life should be a hobby for anyone.. We all need that cheap health insurance working for some company and build our retirement with a good professional job. that way we don't struggle in the long road ahead of us. RUclips is a Hit or Miss if you'll become liked by everyone in the world. Life is to short to please strangers around the world lol.

If you are headed to the states, my suggestion would be (before April as it will be too hot after that -- not to mention the area becomes abandoned) goto Quartzsite, AZ (The winter RV capital of the world - you can buy a 6 month pass for $180 and that included a dump station, a garbage bin and fresh water).. If you plan on staying in the US for the summer I would suggest getting the New Mexico state park pass.. I think it is still $60 for a year, and it allows you to stay in all their state parks boondocking for free (usually fresh water and a dump station are available for use within all the state parks and is included) or you pay a very reduced rate per night with the pass for hookups etc.. You can only stay in any park for a period of 2 weeks before you have to goto another park, but then you can return -- I spent the entire summer of 2018 in the New Mexico state parks -- It can get hot (100F+) so if you don't have solar with the ability to run your A/C you probably want hookups...
My plan is to be in Canada as soon as possible myself :-)

We’re supposed to get a snow storm here in Belleville Illinois and St.Louis Missouri starting around 03:00 am Sunday but the meteorologist never get it right so it could start sooner , so I’m gonna start a fire in the fireplace and put out my extra twin mattress right by the fireplace and make some hot coco and watch some Christmas specials ❤
