It is a superb interpretation.My favourite symphony of Brahms.Besides the romantic feature of this piece,we feel the soul and autobiographic aspect of his life ,the grief and love and the melancholy and more happiness he experienced during his summer holiday when he composed this masterpiece

Welcome back to you all especially Mr Slobodeniouk- so good to see and hear you once again. This performance of the Brahms symphony has to be the airiest and clearest I have heard. So often the Brahms orchestration comes across as muddy and distorted but you give us such delicacy and lightness-congratulations. Maybe the extra spacing between the members has something to do with it - none-the-less a much appreciated performance. Whilst noting many of the players, where is your first violin - will miss him. Another wonderful performance with Pablo Barreiro's great sound.The 'traditional' orchestral layout adds so much, and the violin portamenti in the slow movement are perfect.

Muchas gracias excelente presentación, desgraciadamente duele muchísimo la ausencia de John Aigi. Como homenaje mayor es la pasión por esta gran Orquesta
Es realmente difícil lograr el equilibrio entre esa densidad orquestal y esa diáfana transparencia, sobre todo en los dos primeros movimientos. Por lo demás, exquisita toma de sonido que permite escuchar algunas líneas de las maderas que muchas veces no se perciben. Refrescante versión, lírica, profunda, densa y vitalista.
Brahms: profunda grandeza y exquisita ternura sabiamente armonizadas. Excelente interpretación y grabación. Gracias a la OSG por ayudarnos a superar estos difíciles momentos.

Good to see you back. But I have just read, that John Aigi Hurn, the principal trumpet has passed away in July, which was quite the shock for me, especially after seeing his special during Corona some months back. RIP and Godspeed to him!

Another superb performance from this great orchestra and conductor (is there a wrong passing note from a trombone at about 6:29? - if so, it only adds to the authenticity of the performance - it hasn't been 'massaged'). A very lucid sound; it's easy to let Brahm's orchestration sound a little thick at times - not so here with the beautiful transparency in this performance of my favourite Brahms symphony.

Музыка Брамса всегда манит и слушать ее приятно. По масштабам Европы оркестр Галисии скромен, но весьма демократичен. Я просто считаю его своим домашним оркестром. Его дирижер Дима Слободенюк - это пример достаточно молодого и набирающего силы дирижера. У него очень много и хорошо получается. Желаю ему и в дальнейшем успехов. Привет из Киева.
