TRUST ME you want the 5 out of 5 God Roll Luna that I have (Better then Not Forgotten) Full Bore...Ricochet Rounds...Range MW...Slideshot (+20 Range & Stability)...Opening Shot (+25 Range & 20 Aim Assistant) for 100 RANGE & 99 Aim Assistance (71 Base Range like Not Forgotten). This roll is better than any ROSE roll.
Am genuinely farming for healclip incandescant ...around 50 rolls with no luck so far ...and tried with 40 rolls of sumonner with no luck too
Edit : reason why I want this so bad is as follows , when final shape drops , prismatic hunters will lose that ability to go invis or use solar healing grenade or devour , having a heal clip weapon fixes the issue , but guess what ? Bungie stated that on prismatic hunters killing any ennemy affected by a debuff aka volatile jolt or scortch will make you invisible , so visualize having a prismatic hunter that goes fully invis after each kill allowing him to reload at ease to go full health

I got a shiny with Heal Clip/Incandescent + Slideshot/Magnificent Howl. Super happy to have a PvE/PvP roll in one weapon.
I got it as my 3rd roll, still no slideshot though. Not even one.

This is a PC specific visual thing. If you turn your FOV down to what console is using the gun never jumps and blocks the reticle.
They’ve talked about fixing this in the past but never have.

I got my shiny Luna's Howl with Heal clip and Incandescent for my Warlock and it does wonders both in Onslaught and even Pantheon. It really adds something I didn't know I was missing tbh.
As for PvP, ofc nothing can beat Austringer, it just feels right on MnK to me.
Counterpoint: 50 Range Hand Cannons feel like trash. “Good enough” isn’t good enough for me. (But I suppose Not Forgotten would be the way to go then)
This anything below 65 range is shard unless it's insanely overstat (Hawkmoon and some Rose roles. ).
Using a 3/5 ( only range components and random perks ) with 71 range compared to base luna you get gifted by shaxx which has two of its best perks but 53 range is night and day.
So far i only really have a 66 range slide,os roll but hell even the neomuna HC outclasses it in my hands.

I knew Not Forgotten felt better but I was wrong about why apparently. I thought it had to do with the range stat and the better aim assist cone that came with it, but it turns out it was the recoil the whole time. The more you know

I'm so glad you mentioned 1, that luna in general feels like a coin flip as to if you hit someone or not (mnk), and 2, zen moment on the old roles is absolute night and day better.
Heal/incandescent for pve however is tasty on any device.
Now, if you want a great 180 that can 3 tap and feels amazing on mnk, look no further than frontiers cry with kill clip.
Frontiers with adagio doesn't require a reload an give you more range along with damage.

I’m curious to see how the health changes impacted Crimson. Is the TTK the same? Does it require more or less precision hits to achieve optimal TTK? Has the range/falloff TTK been impacted?
That onslaught part was a mood 😂 quite a few ppl wanted rng drops again instead of crafting but now that we have it for the avg player who doesn’t get lucky id rather just have it guaranteed after some time played then to quite literally never be able to try the roll I’m interested in, the game has been going on for 10 years now we don’t need like the forsaken spare rations level of farming again lol

Agreed, especially when the rng cant be controlled like they did with Season of the Hunt farming. They couldve implemented something akin to that to make the TIME LIMITED grinding more bearable.
@pataponnabil well the weapons aren't time limited. It is the shiny variants that are. But yeah having an season of opulence level of focusing woukd be cool cause than yiu could always focus master work an barrel at least.
People are ADDICTED to FOMO/gambling. It’s a dopamine hit like anything else. Shit is so well researched and used in all aspects of life by companies from casinos to what ever else.
On a non-shiny it’s a 2% chance to get both perks you want. Hearing people talking about farming for “the god roll” including barrels, mag, MW… it’s literally something like .27% chance of getting what you want.
I don’t think people even realize how low the chances really are. They just see other people have it… they like that dopamine… they say crafting is terrible.
I get it… in general… but holy shit… unless you play this game for a living most people don’t even have time to get all of the red boarders for guaranteed god rolls… but they say they want random drops that basically give you no chance of getting what you want.
When they want rng farm and get it they want crafting. When they want more crafting and get it they want rng farm. One of many moments where where can’t make up there goddamn mind.
I absolutely stand by precision instrument. Yeah, it's only a tiny amount of extra range but I often find myself stacking it up againts several laners and getting some slightly farther and more forgiving kills in the chaos. Though I am playing on console so I avoid your problems with the gun at base
I love precision instrument too and it actually pairs pretty well with encore too. Snag a kill in a lane and the next guy will be a much easier gunfight

Trials engram farming feels less like a chore than Onslaught does. Hell, rolling legacy trials gear has been more fruitful than Onslaught
FYI You can craft the Adhoration solar pulse rifle with heal clip/incan if youre having troulbe getting the rng on luna's. Held me over for the two weeks it took to get the luna roll

I've been using NF ever since Into the Light started and it just feels so good to use even without any exotics. It's nice because unintentionally Bungie retroactively validated my effort in getting Not Forgotten back when you actually could. My achievement mattered, just not in how the intended it to
I deleted an Edge Transit with Deconstruct+Stickys(gives one mun. back after 2 shoots!!!) in the beginning from onslought - when i discovered my bad decison i tried to farm it out again for day s without luck ...by the way Blast F. with zen moment + rapid - feels soooooooooo good on the sticks - outerworldy freakin awsome !!! Elsie s with kill clip+under over + arrowhead break is freakin melting (got a shiny) - seems like Bungie opend the flood gates for good drops... Bungie we need the extra 100 vault spaces now !!! I enjoy Black Lagoon at the moment...
The roll I want is Heal Clip and Desperate Measures. I get you a hunter main might not want it, but as a pyrogale titan, getting a kill with consecration, and then being able to guarantee 3 piece with a guaranteed 2 tap is very valuable for me
I see the point about opening shot, but thats only good for one bullet, precision instrument is every bullet after the first. I play MnK, I have the most 5/5 you can get wtih slideshot, precision, this thing is the best handcannon I've used since the initial swap of 110s to 120s. The recoil was jarring at first, but after almost 2000 kills I don't even notice the gun model anymore.

I mean… I have an encore/PI god roll and as long as encore is procced with a few stacks it’s almost like having slideshot and I still think the gun sucks lol
Even took it into patrol to see if having max stacks of encore (+20 range +32 stability -5% accuracy cone size) would simulate having slideshot for me and change my mind about Lunas and well.. it just doesn’t.
So I have an Encore/PI god roll and that’s good enough for a gun that I bottom frag with.

I’m on mnk and was doing pretty well with the curated roll. Farmed up some new rolls but have not tried them yet. I have the original not forgotten and Luna in the vault waiting for the power level update
i've genuinely been enjoying luna's with precious scars. it's definitely not very potent but i still find it unique enough to be fun.

Crisis inverted which is pretty mediocre but gets good stats overall and the neomuna hc which tbh is a hidden gem but the sight is a little obstructive.
So yeh we need a high tier HC for the people who don't have the adepts or the crafted one.
And yeh i do have an exalted and the lw one and they both destroy luna.
luna is like rose its not a true 140 and they do different things
Inconsistent - yet slightly above average Crucible enjoyer here. I find the recoil to be managable on MnK, and I am using a max range roll with full-bore and ricochet. I wouldn't want to use a 140 with less than 65 range, as it would get walked on by other 140s, 120s, and pretty much any pulse rifle.
I also think precision instrument is worth running even in 6s. I had multiple engagements last night with 2-3 people at once, where I stacked up the headshot damage into the 90s and won the fight because of it. It stacks well with radiant, which is super easy to get this season - and when next season starts, you can enhance precision instrument to allow you a 1 bodyshot - 2 headshot kill on guardians with 3 resilience or lower.
Tldr: recoil is fine on MnK if you use the gun for a few hours, precision instrument is great for duals against multiple guardians, and being able to jump and accurately shoot the gun with just an icarus grip feels amazing.
I still think this is an 8/10 on MnK with the right rolls, and it's become my favorite 140 as a Titan main who likes to jump a little too much.

P E perk... is not very helpful outside of 6v6 I love trials I mean love.. I did the testing without the artifact mod the rang increase is minimal and needs only headshots to increase the rang by .1 to .2/3 meters..
My issue with luna even though it feels nice unless I have the hammer RR rang master work with slide opening.. I getting outrun by basic hc base stats..
Just don't see the reason why I should use luna perks combo is just slide opening... but slide just give the gun base stats of other hc.. we has (ausbringer forgot how it spelled) 70 up rang 70 up stability with opening and eye even zen moment if we want...

Luna's stability is amazing and becomes evident on the first try. I was disappointed though when I used in PVP. It was not doing much damage (pea shooter). I only kept rolls with good range but... Note: Crimson seems to have been NERFed as well. Note: I play PS4 w/ controller but not so frequently so perhaps what is a surprise to me is already reality for most who play constantly.
Personally, I earned my luna’s howl back then and barely had time to fully enjoy it. Glad they are unsunstetting the weapons. The new drops aren’t so bad and don’t mind playing around with different rolls as they are all pretty fun to play versus others. Not planning to dismantle them or stop farming any of these weapons as I’m having fun testing all the rolls I get my hands on. Hope everyone gets a good roll they enjoy the most.
Slideshot opening shot with 66 range( hammerforged high cal ) is the best i have rn but the more i use it the more i feel like i might aswell use Epochal to abuse triple unflinching on my solar builds.
Precision I was decent with 71 range but discord ain't cutting it and ny maghowl is fun for 6s but without slideshot it just feels 'wrong'.
One thing I am wanting to test with Lunas and Precision Instrument (When i eventually get one) is how it performs when shooting a frozen target with Whisper of Rending. Will it have the ability to 3 tap? If so, itll be great on my Shadebinder build!
Even if it could 3 tap I still feel like I prefer eyasluna with headstone, especially with the artifact mod that makes the crystal explode into shards

I got a max range moving target midnight coup 2 weeks ago and stopped spending tokens after that. I had about 600 tokens the day luna howl came out. Got a fluted/ flared or ext/ slide opening after using about 450. Stopped farming again. Now I am playing path of exlle while i wait.

I don't farm anything in onslaught. Whatever weapon I get to drop with decent rolls I keep. Some times I get shiny one's but I don't target farm anything in that activity. The Luna roll you have is similar to mine, 2 difference's the mag perk and masterwork! And yes I agree the old Luna's and not forgotten are better because of zen moment but the rolls you get on Luna's is pretty good!

Fluted barrel and extended mag? Really?? First of all with a simple icarus grip mod you get 60 AE anyway which is all you need since precision frames naturally give an extra 25 AE. Not to mention if you run both extended mag and fluted barrel you’ll only have 30 metres of range LMAO.

Old school not forgotten and Luna’s suck in Iron Banner or Comp/trials. But once they’re unsunset with the launch of TFS then they’ll be top picks.

Precision instrument is so good beacuse you can 2tap and 1body when you are radiant ,and it just need a 3tap that you can be radiant easily.
And that artifact mod goes away in a month, meaning it will lose a lot of value
But then it can be enhanced,and enhanced precision instrument can cause more damge which can 1body and 2hand to kill low reliance.And this is also equivalent to more range.

Again, people in destiny just want the game to play for them. , we are so spoiled with the flitch reduction... we have more base flitch reduction base than we had in the past with 2 unflinching mods.. (no one complained) right now, we can pretty much make flitch not exist what is boring, you literally can't flitch a god rill 120 off the head.. or smg or auto side arms.. it a joke. XD.. it feels like I am playing aim trainer..

Honestly with the amount of 140s ive been seeing (mainly lunas) sunshot having a straight up faster ttk really helps win duels in neutral.
However, sunshot; has worse ae, weird recoil, and because it gets 12 in the mag it takes 4 headshots to proc the perk that gives you radiant this season
Sunshot recoil is absolutely vile.
I have like 20k pve kills on it and only managed to push through like 100pvp kills.
Mind you I've a total of like 70k kills in pvp and over 30 are hcs so i do use them a LOT.
That's why Ive never liked that arquetype you can't see shit when you're shooting.

I don't use M&K. On controller to this day Not Forgotten (and others with the same recoil) are the only hand cannons I ever use because all handcannons on controller are uncontrollable to me. Worse i'm not on console so i'm stuck playing against M&K players so yeah i basically quit pvp. That said i have ever Luna's roll i could want so i haven't farmed it since a two days after it launched.
if you put a icarus mod on it you have 60 ae its a precision frame it has 25+ ae at all times and 60 ae feels pefect

Yeah last week i got the not forgotten at the kiosk and gave this thing the middle finger, zen moment is just too juicy and sunset is gone, no point farming for this.
Petition to give 180's and Mag Howl weapons the original Handcannon animations.
If they would remove the accuracy, range, and stability penalties that are applied just for using a controller, sure. Until then, this recoil is more usable for those poor folks.

I think I'm going to stop farming it at this point. I'm on M&K. I'm also glad that I farmed Palindrome Adept when it was available. Outside of exotics, I either use Pali or Bottom Dollar depending on the map with a Void PVP build for my Titan. Its done well so far in 6s and 3s.

This has always been my problem with Destiny. I've adapted over the years.
But for most guns in this game, especially hand cannons, to not finish recoiling at their optimal ttk is crazy game design.
I think that's why so many people either love or hate PVP. You either compensate and get good or the skill isn't there and you hate it.
Interesting choice by bungie with that.
Good shout out for MnK Crimson, people sleep on it for sure but I do agree with your comment, having the right ornament helps a ton. Iridescent Death or the one Awoken one from a little while back help immensely with not having the reticle dot get thrown about.
If you're using a warlock use transverse step with Luna's howl a very interesting reaction, give it a try you can stack those final rounds up to 10

I still can’t put down the crafted austringer you showcased. I can’t find any other handcannon except maybe rose or igneous that feels like it and gives best results.

Even on controller I prefer regular 140s, the recoil throws me off too much. If I wanted to shoot a 180, I would.
Luna’s Howl shooting animation day 1 has been a turn off to me. Slideshot almost made me want to grind for the gun though.
Not Forgotten feels better to me than a god roll lunas, probably because of zen moment, I don’t know but I’m gonna keep using NF, while farming Luna now and then

Golden Tricorn Nation of Beast sweeps all energy 140s. Golden Tricorn x1 is a 2 head one body kill at 10 resil, same as kill clip but it lasts longer and activates immediately. x2 let’s you two tap, and on an arc warlock or titan it’s very easy to activate. Also, because it has a enhanced keep away, you can tank your range for other stats because you get a free +15 range plus decreased aim assist falloff. It’s my favorite gun rn it’s so good

so been farming a healclip incandecent roll with a reload mag and amster work aswell as some other various flavous for pvp, even if the recoil is a kinda jank 180 recoil on a 140 frame, but my god this gun has either a bugged focus that doesnt work or a weighted drop rate to be worse than any other gun
I have done a ton of 50 waves both normal and legend, I have lost count of how many runs I have done and ill see maybe 5 lunas at best on a full 50 waves, have even seen none on a 50 wave legend run, not a single luna, with any other gun ill see 10 at the LOW END and 30+ drop on the high end -.-
this cant just be me this cant be just bad rng with how consistanly bad the drops are with this gun -.-
keep farming lunas if you want easy 2 taps. but MAKE SURE the weapon has over 55 range even if you have slideshot. this thing shoots ghost bullets like crazy. if weapon model is an issue just play stretched, the game plays better that way anyway lol.
