Cantata can roll with eye of the storm and opening shot or moving target. You can focus at gunsmith too, plus it has flinch resistance after relaoding. I use Hawkmoon and Sturm alot, trying out Luna's it felt really weird to use but I got a god roll. If I can't get used to Luna I'm going to try to focus an opening shot Cantata to pair with my new Conditional Finality I just got. I wish Luna's just had the regular 140 recoil cause it's got great perks.
It would be great to have I have farmed for 4 days 68 Rolls No HC/Incandescent But if I see another slideshot/harmony one I am going to Kermit suicide I had 3 drop. In. A. Row.

Honestly your description for how 180s feel is 100% how I feel. I feel like I'm so precise and still missing shots like there's less bullet magnetism. Then you put on a 140 or a 120 and shots just land, as if they have a bigger hitbox or leniency. Not to mention when I miss with a 180, it "feels" like its harder to get back on target, due to the recoil and the "feel" of less magnetism. You often overcorrect in an attempt to get back on target and keep missing. It "feels" more punishing than the natural bounce of a 140 or the more deliberate kick of a 120.
People are just used to a 140 kick and being forced to aim. The biggest strength of the gun is the AE.. stompee mains and anyone who plays in the air should be using Lunas. It's actually the best feeling hitting headshots in the air again.

i believe you simply suck with 140s ... no way you're comparing weapon feel of this gun and your example is thorn... high handling ...high visual recoil ...average stability ... luna blocks your entire target.... low handling ..low recoil opposite in feels .... i believe you dont kill anyone with thorn thats good and you mostly do your damage with perk ...and luna is a low skill gun...thats why u love them .
I still use my trust in PvP every now and then. Both my old Forsaken curated roll and my newer one from Lightfall which is rapid hit / Explosive Payload. It’s seriously a sleeper pick in a quick style build

I just couldn't disagree more with the precision instrument conclusion. There's no world in which being given free damage increase for doing what you already do is bad, especially paired with eye of the storm for duelling. If you wanted slide opening, just use rose imo.
PI doesn't help you get the kill any faster over any other dueling perk is the issue. It's not like Iggy where you're already dealing enough damage to get a 2 head 1 body with PI, no matter what it's going to require 3 heads with Luna's. The only thing you can argue you benefit from PI is the slight range boost from the damage increase.
Doesnt matter when someone did the math to find it only extends 3-tap by 1m. Regardless of how you think or feel, that is garbage and you're way better off running something else
Don’t underestimate a full AE investment roll. A niche play style but there are no other COMPETITIVE options to leverage a high AE stat. Knucklehead, thread of ascent, extended mag, Icarus mod = 100 AE on a competitive hand cannon
On dawnblade all you need it the heat rises aspect and an icarus mod. 80 AE at all times which is plenty for Lunas (even more with certain mag options). If you want to go all in just consume your grenade, though I don't think that's really necessary.
I love 180s and their recoil animation was a part of that. I just couldn’t get them to work in crucible, no matter what, until I picked this thing up. Everything I love about 140s and 180s in a single package, almost feels like an exotic.

Id recommend if your running heal clip to instead of going for extended mag, just go for flared magwell, btw in final shape backup mag might be on the menu
I've not been a regular hand cannon user. There a handful of weapons that have changed my mind. Love my Outlaw/Headstone Eyasluna and really love my Heal Clip/Incandescent Luna's. Feels great to me and will stay in my regular rotation.
It's coming... I'm guessing 2nd episode would be a good little gimmick to get some players back. Running out of nostalgia bait but this is one that will work for pvp players. Oh and I also predict it will drop in a PvE activity 😅
why not just use NF then? its not just unsenset but still obtainable at the kiosik if you dont have it, and if you do, you can pull it from collections

Funny enough when you mention the issue of "the gun should be shooting faster than it actually does like something hold you back" is EXACTLY what I felt when I used another old HC, The Seven Seraph Officer. This gun felt like you're trying very hard to control the recoil so it doesn't jump off your hands, making me feel like I'm holding it back. Funny how Luna's somewhat similar. For me ironically, I'd want a Subs/Howl combo because other combo are more common to find. Howl is only on Luna's for now.

I have been grinding for a heal clip incan roll since we could finally start farming this weapon and I finally got one today, only took like 2-3 weeks. I go to use it and it feels off? It almost like it is too accurate? It doesn’t have that bullet magnetism that I’m used to with sunshot and posterity. I’m glad I’m not the only one that has that off feeling on m&k.

One thing to keep in mind when talking about Luna's Howl vs. Igneous Hammer is this: Igneous requires you to do Trials to get it, which means you have to have the most recently released expansion purchased AND deal with Trials itself. Meanwhile, Luna's is readily available to new and free to play players.

Hey loved this clip. After an evening of grinding a few weeks ago on console, I got a Brave LH with Slide shot/ opening Shot /Ricochet Rounds Full Bore. On Luna's Howl Full Bore is doable even with a 71 range. When compared to the Not Forgotten this LH has better handling (40) out of the box, same aim assist, better AE. For me this roll looked do able and in play I couldn't have wished for a better drop. This confirms for me that there is a top roll out there to farm. I like the precision recoil so I'm good to go. For PVE i have an incandescent roll.
M&K 180 enjoyer and I am literally in love with this thing. Enlightened Action + Incadescent or Heal Clip + Kill Clip with highest reload speed possible. Feels absolutely excellent to use.
I’ve got a heal + kill clip roll on one recently, I’ve been thinking on giving it a go. For me it’s the same thought process of going for a gun with stats for all and one for all, since they work together and have the same way of making them happen. I think ultimately I’d still prefer a magnificent howl one, but still, I think it could be decent at the very least.
I like Luna's on Warlock with Transversive Steps & Mag Howl. You don't need slideshot or holster mods and you can use Eye of the Storm or Heal Clip in the first perk column.

Run the HC/incandescent role with ember of benevolence on starfire protocol. I used this on the encounters on this week’s pantheon and it single-handedly revitalises what SP used to be. It’s disgustingly good.

I actually like 180's the most actually. I love playing on controller. I know it's probably not "optimal" at all. But I am obsessed. I keep coming back to this game for the builds for this. 😅
I really do like this gun. But i cant use it. I reset my rank twice, farmed the gamemodes for days. And i didnt get a single roll with incandescent. I really wanted heal clip + incandescent for a high end build. But now its too late
This thing has become my absolute new main weapon. Like it is amazing with heel clip just topping off that little bit of health you could be the missing while doing stuff or saving a buddy and he doesn't even know it.
My friends have told me too that they don't like the feel of LH, and the funny thing is that I love the feel, because it feels exactly like firing a modern revolver. It feels so natural to me and I love it.
i got that heal clip/incandescent roll, already have about 5k kills with it. still want that same roll with Mag Howl, definitely gonna grind for another
under over is a great pvp perk, in sandbox where all the titans are moving around with overshield and maybe also with the frost armor in future. Exalted truth here is a monster gun with possibility to have 70 range, 80 stability (or pure 95 range for PC with 50 stab), eye of the storm and a key to bypass every over-shielded titans and warlocks in healing rift.
Precision instrument stacks go up from HITs, which means body shots adds to it too. Enhanced precision instrument also increases each stack's damage to 5%. I won't say no to free damage.
I got a shiny with slide shot , heal clip f3rd column. And mag howl, incandescent 4th column. Had it focused since it came out and that’s the only one that dropped with slide shot mag howl
I've been maining a EA/Incandescent foil roll of Luna's Howl since it became available, and I think the main issue with the gun is that it takes a LOT of getting used to; the reduced visual recoil on the gun is quite nice, but if you've been using any other HC- Zaouli's Bane, for example- then you end up overcompensating for the lack of recoil. All in all, 9/10, would recommend.
Im completely the opposite. I love how this feels because of the precision frame. Also, desperate measures is low key goated on this with ability spam builds. Feels great in PVP. Reminds me of Surivors Epitaph but energy. I admit I am a bit partial to 180s.
The arguement I’d make for precision instrument is that it’s good for finishing off enemies that are already a little damaged. I have a slideshot precision instrument roll and I can’t count the amount of times precision instrument turns a three tap kill into a two tap or even a one head one body clean up. The forgiveness of the perk cannot be understated when you actually use it in the field
You've missed out a powerhouse of a PvE tool with heal clip + magnificent howl. 50% damage increase for half the mag(on average) just for getting precision kills, it absolutely shreds minors and majors. Then with the baked in heal clip benevolence goodness it absolutely slaps, don't sleep on it!
Tbh duplicating the stats of not forgotten on this new lunas feels bad. I cant explaing why because lunas with full bore+ricochet+maghowl + range mw matches not forgotten but with more handling. But it just feels bad. Is it zen moment?
I really wish I would have gotten this during into the light, focusing is returning though in August and I don't really care about shinies since you can't use shaders but man ever since I switched to kinetic slot special weapons I regret not getting a heal incan roll
i guess it depends what you're used to. I spent hours using the original Trust, and am loving my Luna's. It's got the feel I'm used to with extra punch.
heal clip, before benevolence, is already good for subclasses without good staying power and in encounters with limited cover(atraks and hefnd come to mind)
The problem I have with Lunas on M&K is that in certain scenarios it hides your target which makes it harder to hit follow up shots. A problem that controller doesn't have(or at least doesn't have to a certain extend) cause the aim assist can help you hit these shots even without seeing your target.

Funnily enough, I like the feel of Luna's Howl but I don't like the feel of Epochal Integration. Sunshot is typically my go-to solar weapon, but Luna's Howl is a great substitute for when I want to run Dragon's Breath (I don't have Zaouli's). So far I've only gotten one roll with heal clip + incandescent, so I'm gonna be grinding Onslaught to see if I can get a couple more, hopefully with the godroll barrel and mag. Should have a higher chance next week, since Bungie is going to double the drop rate of shinies.
Brave Luna has been my main Crucible primary and I don’t see that changing for a while. It is so consistent on controller and the look+feel is #1. Slide shot / opening shot all day
I was really excited to get a Heal Clip & Incandescent roll for PvE. Once I got that roll and started using it, I ended up switching back to Zaoulis because I prefer how it feels to use.
I really like luna's howl. My pvp handcannon of choice now for the energy slot, though austringer still remains my favorite overall for legendaries. The bounce of the precision frame with the lower rpm on mnk just has a special sauce for me.

Yes, unfortunately due to the size of the channel and the dedicated following that we have it’s a good target for bad actors to do their thing. We had a lot of trouble in 2022 and 2023, and ever since we put this measure in place it’s significantly improved things. Hope you can understand!
I just want to point out while people are saying heal clip/incandescent is the best pve legendary hand cannon, that I’ve been using it for almost a year with an adept Igneous Hammer I farmed for this specific reason because I am a grade A Sicko.

Heal Clip + Incandescent makes this weapon truly S tier endgame because you keep healing as they keep burning and dying.
It'll be fantastic for transcendence charging too, if only I could get one to drop with both and be shiny...

Luna's Howl as a 150RPM on console was like heaven in hand.

With the spec mods going away, you’ll be able to rock backup mag so extended mag won’t be necessary anymore.
even with the base 10 mag subsistence still reloads 2 bullets, there is 0 difference with this weapon if you boost the mag size or not
I use this on M&K and I love it. I actually enjoy how it recoils as I find that I proc radiant with it super easy.

I use encore PI and I have like 40m range. I have also won many 2v1s and 3v1s due to 2 Critting the 2nd and 3rd people

Yup, I definitely agree. Also, the issue with my Incan + HC rolled Lunas is that the reload is even slower that Sunshot.

Even on controller it feels weirdly off. I've been running Coil, and using Luna right after Sunshot or Zbane is like an Uncanny Valley for your aim.

I've mained the 140 version of NF for the last couple years (MnK). Luna's feels great to me, just because I'm already used to its recoil.

Hey loved this clip. After an evening of grinding a few weeks ago on console, I got a Brave LH with Slide shot/ opening Shot /Ricochet Rounds Full Bore. On Luna's Howl Full Bore is doable even with a 71 range. When compared to the Not Forgotten this LH has better handling (40) out of the box, same aim assist, better AE. For me this roll looked do able and in play I couldn't have wished for a better drop. This confirms for me that there is a top roll out there to farm. I like the precision recoil so I'm good to go. For PVE i have an incandescent roll.
M&K 180 enjoyer and I am literally in love with this thing. Enlightened Action + Incadescent or Heal Clip + Kill Clip with highest reload speed possible. Feels absolutely excellent to use.

Zaouli's Bane has been my go to since I got it crafted. Those enhanced perks for incandescent and explosive payload is bonkers.

Got a Word of Crota (Adept) with Dragonfly and Destabilizing Rounds. I could never part with that roll. But you give a good argument to do so.
What about Adept Palindrome? Doesn't that stack up real nice even against the OG Luna and NF?

For some reason my AE says 60 with Icarus. Too bad I can’t use the gun with my input method.
I’ve got a heal + kill clip roll on one recently, I’ve been thinking on giving it a go. For me it’s the same thought process of going for a gun with stats for all and one for all, since they work together and have the same way of making them happen.
I think ultimately I’d still prefer a magnificent howl one, but still, I think it could be decent at the very least.
I like Luna's on Warlock with Transversive Steps & Mag Howl. You don't need slideshot or holster mods and you can use Eye of the Storm or Heal Clip in the first perk column.

I used this on the encounters on this week’s pantheon and it single-handedly revitalises what SP used to be. It’s disgustingly good.
I rocked an “Exalted Truth” with 80 range, over-under, and kill clip this weekend. Hard to replace it without a very perfect 5/5.

I actually like 180's the most actually. I love playing on controller. I know it's probably not "optimal" at all. But I am obsessed. I keep coming back to this game for the builds for this. 😅
I really do like this gun. But i cant use it. I reset my rank twice, farmed the gamemodes for days. And i didnt get a single roll with incandescent. I really wanted heal clip + incandescent for a high end build. But now its too late

"Nobody will use" as it entered the top crucible weapons used since it launched and continues to be in the top.
This thing has become my absolute new main weapon. Like it is amazing with heel clip just topping off that little bit of health you could be the missing while doing stuff or saving a buddy and he doesn't even know it.

I have a perfect shiny of Luna and its easily taken over my primary use on Solar. Incan/kill clip with heal clip/enlightened. Favorite non exotic HC.
My friends have told me too that they don't like the feel of LH, and the funny thing is that I love the feel, because it feels exactly like firing a modern revolver. It feels so natural to me and I love it.
i got that heal clip/incandescent roll, already have about 5k kills with it. still want that same roll with Mag Howl, definitely gonna grind for another
I've been running this with Heal Clip + Incandescent and my Witherhoard and it feels super nice for add-clear.
under over is a great pvp perk, in sandbox where all the titans are moving around with overshield and maybe also with the frost armor in future. Exalted truth here is a monster gun with possibility to have 70 range, 80 stability (or pure 95 range for PC with 50 stab), eye of the storm and a key to bypass every over-shielded titans and warlocks in healing rift.
Precision instrument stacks go up from HITs, which means body shots adds to it too. Enhanced precision instrument also increases each stack's damage to 5%. I won't say no to free damage.

I got a shiny with slide shot , heal clip f3rd column. And mag howl, incandescent 4th column. Had it focused since it came out and that’s the only one that dropped with slide shot mag howl
I've been maining a EA/Incandescent foil roll of Luna's Howl since it became available, and I think the main issue with the gun is that it takes a LOT of getting used to; the reduced visual recoil on the gun is quite nice, but if you've been using any other HC- Zaouli's Bane, for example- then you end up overcompensating for the lack of recoil.
All in all, 9/10, would recommend.
The issue with igneous hammer is that you have to be able to get the igneous hammer, and I already have the og luna’s from the days of old
My buddy has 10k kills on his already. Which is wild for him, he doesn't use 1 gun often. Says it's the feel of it, so it just clicks with some people

Im completely the opposite. I love how this feels because of the precision frame. Also, desperate measures is low key goated on this with ability spam builds. Feels great in PVP. Reminds me of Surivors Epitaph but energy. I admit I am a bit partial to 180s.
I find when I turn my fov to something like 85 this gun feels amazing but any higher I can’t keep track.
I 100 percent think we are getting a 120 with slideshot and precision instrument.(hopefully better devils)
The arguement I’d make for precision instrument is that it’s good for finishing off enemies that are already a little damaged. I have a slideshot precision instrument roll and I can’t count the amount of times precision instrument turns a three tap kill into a two tap or even a one head one body clean up. The forgiveness of the perk cannot be understated when you actually use it in the field
You've missed out a powerhouse of a PvE tool with heal clip + magnificent howl. 50% damage increase for half the mag(on average) just for getting precision kills, it absolutely shreds minors and majors. Then with the baked in heal clip benevolence goodness it absolutely slaps, don't sleep on it!
Tbh duplicating the stats of not forgotten on this new lunas feels bad. I cant explaing why because lunas with full bore+ricochet+maghowl + range mw matches not forgotten but with more handling.
But it just feels bad. Is it zen moment?
I really wish I would have gotten this during into the light, focusing is returning though in August and I don't really care about shinies since you can't use shaders but man ever since I switched to kinetic slot special weapons I regret not getting a heal incan roll
i guess it depends what you're used to. I spent hours using the original Trust, and am loving my Luna's. It's got the feel I'm used to with extra punch.
I remember back when Luna's was a 180, and I've been using it since to the point that it feels weird using any other hand cannon to me
heal clip, before benevolence, is already good for subclasses without good staying power and in encounters with limited cover(atraks and hefnd come to mind)
what about midnight coup with firefly + one for all? does it stack up?
Maybe they can rework the recoil to go backwards and not upwards (like have the gun kick back instead of slightly up)
The problem I have with Lunas on M&K is that in certain scenarios it hides your target which makes it harder to hit follow up shots. A problem that controller doesn't have(or at least doesn't have to a certain extend) cause the aim assist can help you hit these shots even without seeing your target.

for mnk, the recoil covers up the target your aiming at. doesn't matter how good the HC is if I cant see where Im shooting

Funnily enough, I like the feel of Luna's Howl but I don't like the feel of Epochal Integration. Sunshot is typically my go-to solar weapon, but Luna's Howl is a great substitute for when I want to run Dragon's Breath (I don't have Zaouli's). So far I've only gotten one roll with heal clip + incandescent, so I'm gonna be grinding Onslaught to see if I can get a couple more, hopefully with the godroll barrel and mag. Should have a higher chance next week, since Bungie is going to double the drop rate of shinies.
As an M&K player, Luna's feels great to me, personally.
Maybe I'm biased though, I already really liked 180's.
Brave Luna has been my main Crucible primary and I don’t see that changing for a while. It is so consistent on controller and the look+feel is #1. Slide shot / opening shot all day
bigger issue for me is the way the guns recoil completely covers your target for enough time for it to be uncomfortable but ive always used 120s

I was really excited to get a Heal Clip & Incandescent roll for PvE. Once I got that roll and started using it, I ended up switching back to Zaoulis because I prefer how it feels to use.
I really like luna's howl. My pvp handcannon of choice now for the energy slot, though austringer still remains my favorite overall for legendaries. The bounce of the precision frame with the lower rpm on mnk just has a special sauce for me.

Yes, unfortunately due to the size of the channel and the dedicated following that we have it’s a good target for bad actors to do their thing. We had a lot of trouble in 2022 and 2023, and ever since we put this measure in place it’s significantly improved things. Hope you can understand!

I just want to point out while people are saying heal clip/incandescent is the best pve legendary hand cannon, that I’ve been using it for almost a year with an adept Igneous Hammer I farmed for this specific reason because I am a grade A Sicko.
