Hauling out and winterising our sailboat on Leros island, Greece (Ep 11)

Wishful Thinking is hauled out on Leros island in eastern Greece for the European winter. We pack away the sails, service the engine and seacocks, fog our dinghy outboard and do lots of other jobs to prepare to leave her for the winter. We engage a technician from the boat yard to service and repack our stuffing box. We also take some time to explore around the island before heading back to Australia.

Funny. Here on the Big Island of Hawaii, it is summer year round. And that it is April the 21st 2024.

Haha we may be slightly behind on the videos (by about 6 months), probably because we only make one every 6 weeks 😂 It's definitely April 21st 2024 in Greece, but still feels like winter 😅 Enjoy the endless Hawaiian summer!

Not these days unfortunately, prices have gone through the roof in Turkey! We got quotes from boat yards there and they were 3x the price of yards in Greece.
