My problem with thermal layers is that as soon as I go inside I start overheating and in a few minutes I’m just covered in my own sweat. My body is just so dramatic and reactive when it comes to temperature changes 😭
This is why I wear like short sleeve t shirts and a thick puffer jacket going like past my knees. I only have super hot and super cold temp. If it's in-between, ill let one arm out or unzip it. Any permanent layers won't work for inside.
ya that’s why i’ll wear like a t shirt under a sweater and leggings under a skirt or pants and if i get hot, i can take off the sweater and leggings and still have on the tshirt and bottoms. then put them back on before i go out.
lol me too. I think hoodies can actually look really cute, e.g. I wear mine with skinny jeans, pretty boots and pearl earrings and a nice blow out goes a long way too
I had a skirt like that in 1999, lol. Never thought I would see the exact same clothes again. I see young women running around with the same outfits I wore 20-25 yrs ago. Love it! I try to wear some of the repeats without looking old-fashioned, because as a 50yr-old, you might look like you never changed your look in all those years! 😅 You look super cute!
Dressing cute when it’s cold is so much easier for me than summer outfits. I think fall/winter clothes are better looking and easy just layer layer layer
I typically always wear short sleeves all year round because that's what I'm comfortable in, and I like feeling cold. And I love it when it's damp, rainy, windy, and cloudy. I don't like going outside in the summer above 25°C because that's just awful, and the sun makes it even worse.
Don't know who cares about looking cute when it's extremely cold😅 I mean, I cared when I was a teen, but the older I get the less I care about how I look as long as I'm warm.
It's not that crazy...people just buy better clothing so styling is easy and still comfortable...why do people act so burdened to look decent? You learned how to dress yourself when you were a kid.
Honestly, having grown up in Minnesota, it’s SO easy to dress cute for winter. I moved to Texas a couple years ago and summer has me stumped in every way
i totally get this, it can be pretty difficult to adjust your style to suit the different seasons... especially once you have gotten so used to dressing for a certain season
That’s so cute. I wish I could wear skirts in the wintertime but it’s too windy, wet, and we get a TON of snow. I definitely need to get some long johns lol. My outfit on the bottom is tights, leggings, baggy jeans or sweatpants and then my boots and on top it’s a fitted turtleneck, a long sleeve top, a sweater, and my jacket. It gets super cold here lol
Pro Canadian winter tip: throw fleece thermal leggings on, put thin socks on and tuck the leggings into them, then put on any pair of thicker opaque black tights, wool socks over them and boots. How to wear a dress/skirt in Canadian winter! Wool turtle neck under a dress is super cute too!
This is soo cute but in Canada where it gets to -33C PLUS WINDY! You just can’t look cute lol! It’s just too cold and you need to wear a million layers and run inside!
I love that you mentioned vintage jackets being warmer. My friend recently got rid of a lot of old jeans they’ve had for a while, had to buy new jeans and noticed how much thinner the new ones are. Really sad it’s gotten to this point but I think it’s been like that longer than we’re aware, like clothes gradually got thinner and less efficient.
Best winter outfit tips I’ve seen so far! Love the bag 😍 I live in my longjohns during the winter her in Scandinavia. So cozy! Thermals for the win 🥳 Thank you for not wearing a midrift top and calling it a “winter look” 🙏🙏
If you lived in a city, this could work for winter as you would be outside only for short periods of time. Maybe a lined leather jacket instead would be much warmer. It would work for most winter days in the northeast USA, as it has not really been all that cold in recent years. It also depends on your cold tolerance of course.
Middie skirt and boots - every photo of my mom in the 80s with me as a baby (edit: the best look were boots like hers and a wool tartan midi skirt, turtleneck or crew long sleeve with a blazer or bomber cut at the waist)
My problem with thermal layers is that as soon as I go inside I start overheating and in a few minutes I’m just covered in my own sweat. My body is just so dramatic and reactive when it comes to temperature changes 😭
Me too! Sports cloathing helps a lot though and simply removing all excess cloathing one inside.
All I could think about watching this was how overheated I’d be inside. Super cute, tho!
Same!

This is for November at best. I’d die in this in winter
doing a double layer of wool long underwear under the actual outfit works for me!!
The jacket is for fall weather for sure 😭
I used to live in north Dakota and now I'm in the south, it wholly depends on your climate (and if you are a hoe or not)
The bottom half of the outfit is actually warmer than wearing jeans alone!! Just wear a longer coat and then ur fine
@@cookiecookielookies she didn’t even put wool socks on, it is NOT that warm sis 😂 y’all don’t have winter like we do clearly
I would legit look more rough in this than I do in joggers and a hoodie
Same 😅😅
Yep 😄
lol me too. I think hoodies can actually look really cute, e.g. I wear mine with skinny jeans, pretty boots and pearl earrings and a nice blow out goes a long way too
me too unfortunately

You look super cute!
What's the shame in never changing your look? If it works for you it works for you!
Funny is that if it was thrifted, IT COULD ACTUALLY BE YOUR EXACT SKIRT lol
Same! Zootopia days
A tiktok style influencer even wore clothes from her grandma’s wardrobe and they looked great on her!
Am 37 and clothes i used to wear have come back twice 😅
Yes vintage jackets are warmer. I have my dad's Navy jacket/coat from Vietnam and it's amazing
Dayum hope your dad is doing good, not American or anything but war is tuff
prob cuz its made of real leather/ fur, yea faux ones dont provide the same warmth
Please do more of these winter fits!! I keep trying to get my daughter to layer for the cold & realize it can still be cute!
Love love love the skirt + the jacket together!! So cute!
This is how I dress in the fall, but I’d die without snow pants come November in northern canada.
then move somewhere else ho
Dressing cute when it’s cold is so much easier for me than summer outfits. I think fall/winter clothes are better looking and easy just layer layer layer
Hides how fat we r
Yeah same honestly I insist on wearing my massive coats in summer too so winter isn't too bad for me 💀
@@showerpwner haha true true

People who are into fashion care….Despite age, job or status, some people genuinely enjoy dressing fashionably and looking good.
@@gianna3582every day doesn’t have to be a fashion victim day. just saying there’s a time and a place.

It’s below zero here and dark but I want to look cute sometimes otherwise you’d feel depressed for 3 months out of the year
🍪🍪🍪🍪
Amelia Earhart but make it ✨C H I C✨
I’m joking, it’s actually a really cute and modest outfit.
I THOUGHT THE SAME THING! I love it!!
It's cute for potatoes...could use more structure, color and accessories.
@@ametrineambrosia4929 neutrals > color and the relaxed fit is the point.
The weather around the world so far this January has been FAR warmer than average, especially in Europe for the time of year.
Might be stylish for what is trendy right now but I wouldn't say that outfit is cute
Would have been had thee skirt been ironed & she put the plaid on with the hat & turtle neck.
lol, now do one for when you have to go inside and it's suddenly boiling hot and you have to carry everything you take off.
Honestly, having grown up in Minnesota, it’s SO easy to dress cute for winter. I moved to Texas a couple years ago and summer has me stumped in every way

The world is only getting hotter.
It looks like i had these last pieces left before my laundry day so i wore them together 😅
Lol I’m sorry but there’s no way this is warm enough for a freezing weather, writing from Seattle 🥶
I live in Berlin, Germany - it's not even that cold here. I wouldn't wear this now - and it's still fall!
I would wear that in Seattle
seattle definitely isn't "freezing weather" lmao but to each their own
It rlly depends where you are. Not everyone has the same winter. She’s doing this for the winter she knows.
I’m from Seattle. You can absolutely wear this in Seattle. Now try wearing it in Spokane where I live rn very different story
Nothing you can say will convince me that that skirt is cute.
that combo screams rachel gellar haha its great
You mean Rachel green or Monica gellar? 😂😂
Crazy but you’d be freezing with that fall skirt on in Chicago’s January weather, but oct/nov may be okay.
with merino wool baselayers you can make it into a winter fit easy , from michigan 💜 merino wool is expensive but 100% worth it
I came from Chicago to say the same.
No one gaf that you’re from Chicago
Everyone always wants to talk about the city they’re from as if it’s a fking personality trait like no.one.gives.a.f
@@1.ghostqueen.1 Na I feel you but in this context it actually makes sense since this time since we are literally talking about climate
I owe my life to Uniqlo thermal leggings during Siberian winters
It's missing the "cute" for me ;))) plus that skirt...hard to pull it off for most people...I would look like an oversized homeless potatoe in it :))
I was about to say the same thing, that's the ugliest skirt I've seen in my entire life

-6 here in London today, nope it won’t be enough 😢
I was in short sleeves in the snow multiple times in London (where I live) a few weeks ago, so I don't know why you would think that it's not enough.
Finally an actually warm outfit!! Thank you!!!
I’m Russian and people would laugh at you here lol.
What kind of things do you guys wear in the winter there?
