I didn't think about that. But I think you're right! These will be better for the warmer days and when Fall rolls around I can make some that are wider and fuller. Thanks for sharing that! Have a great weekend!
I really like the curtains you made and totally agreed that we don’t need a perfect setup to make a perfect piece. It is all about the creative ideas. I can’t wait to make my curtains. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for a wonderful presentation and you are so refreshing to listen to and watch. You confirmed what I was thinking of doing for my kitchen in my new(older) home built in 1940. I will be looking for fabric or possibly a twin sheet :) to recreate curtains such as yours. I agree with the others as your curtains came out beautiful!
Oh I’m so glad you enjoyed the video!! I’m excited to hear that you’re going to do something similar with your curtains!! Hope they turn out amazing. Have a great week! 🤍
Fantastic idea! I'm doing this today. I needed something to cover up my kitchen window but still allow visibility (for the kiddos and birds) and breeze.
The curtains turned out fine. Cute fabric that’s very cottage looking. Did you know you can easily tear cotton fabric? Cut a small starter cut, say 1 inch long, grab both sides and pull evenly, It will give you a perfect line because the tear will naturally follow the fabric grain. Some fabric stores only tear because then they don’t get off grain/crooked cuts happening.
No! I’ve been turning muslin fabric into ribbons for a couple of years. But I’ve never tried it with cotton. Ohhh!!! Now I feel like I need to make new curtains for the new house and try this method!! I love the way the ribbon looks torn, so I think I’ll love the curtains that way too. I’m so excited to give it a try!! Thanks for watching! Means more than you realize! Have a great weekend! 🤍🌱🪿
Just found you... Love your work! Adaptability is key... I'm gonna try those tea towels and stamp the bottom edge! I oughta change my kitcjen curtains for the summer... thanks
I like that the curtains aren't as wide as you intended them to be. More airy for the warmer weather.
