I worked at a pita bread factory before. I was that guy building stacks of pita pockets after they had cooled. Memories...
So your germs are everywhere?
@@jerga2002 not anymore, I guess?
@@Erik-uv8zf much better your germs than covid sir...
I'm honestly curious. Isn't stacking pitas insanely braindying?
@@dolopdieren conversions with my coworkers made the time fly
3:44 is so satisfying to watch. They become cute pillows :D
This factory is in Dubai. Since long time i have been buying ARZ pita bread. They are really awesome
All these food processing plants from pitas to candy, to WHATEVER! I want to taste these things right off the line because I bet it tastes different than even just 2 days later when it's on the shelf.
"In a process known as Sheeting"
*pause*
Me and my wife: *Laughing uncontrollably*
Damn.....I want a marriage like that
Beat me to it. :)
Can we talk about how satisfying 3:03 is
HD How It's Made. I love it!
“So what kind of sensor do you need?”
“Well I need to cut pita bread dough to uniform lengths. Do you have something to sense pita bread?”
Pitta? Bread. Thought it was pita?
Depends where you’re from I guess.
Ukraine2011 it’s 1 t. Not the first time they’ve made a mistake either
I mean this is Discovery UK and not like Discovery USA or something, they probably pronounce it different there
Klipxgate I can assure you, in Britain it is pita
Klipxgate they also spent a few minutes explaining the difference between macarons and macaroons, and the title says macaroons despite the fact that the actual food is clearly a macaron
"PEETAH! THEY'VE MADE YOU INTO BREAD!"
OH NO
Man! Somebody's gonna be on fire.
This made me laugh louder than I expected 😱🤦♂️🍞🤣
peetah more like cheetah
It’s PITTA
Pitta bread: **exists**
Every kid: *OMG ITS PEETAHBREAD*
What did you just say
Does anyone else thought of Brad when he said "the fermentation station"?
Raf Bublé Choo choo!
Pita warmed up with olive oil and garlic poured on top served with hummus - yummy.
_"N o i c e"_
Wow I alrady want to eat and buy some pitta bread. I love more How it's made video :]
I heard that Black Mesa has a revolutionary petta bread slicer that never left the beta stages
*Fun fact: Pita is originally a Greek word, but since the Italians couldn't say "pita", they ended up calling it "pizza"!*
Not true, pita is original in Hebrew for "Pat" bread.
@WISAM ACHMAR no it's not
@@shmuelu98 But there's also a Greek version of that bread with the same name, which is likely derived from the original Hebrew, and given Pizza dough is very similar to pitta, there can be truth in that as the origin for the word pizza.

Brad Leone would like to know your location
Fermentation station CHOO!CHOO!
this is the narrator I love
0:17 is the part we were all waiting for.
HAHAHAHAHA definitely.
Nice.
Michael Rosen?
I like the way he says nice.
This episode was wild, like Dr. Seuss levels of names and operations. THEN THEY BLOW UP LIKE BALLOONS!!! What am I watching?!!? This is amazing!
Enak nih
I love this presenter. He has a good sense of humor. Would like to know his name
It’s not the presenter in particular who’s funny, it’s the script writers
Tony Hirst.
@@bobbygilbert2706 The scripts between the Canadian (original) and US versions are the same. The UK one is almost exactly the same, excluding Tony's jokes. It's almost certainly him being funny.
Why are these so amusing to watch
I prefer using pita breads in place of thick slices of bread in making any sandwich. They work well in making almost any kind of sandwich. The bread by the slice in our stores just take away from the taste of what you are using to make the sandwich. The How It's Made series with this narrator are great shows. Shalom
I thought I'd learn how to make pita bread from this...
that thumbnail picture do be looking good i wont lie.

Time is an illusion. Lunchtime doubly so. #omnomnom
Such a cool video, we love your channel!!!
So if you wanted a small piece of butter on your "pitta" could you call it a "pitta pat"?
thank you i like the pitta bread show. How many people eat pitta bread in the USA??
in America its the same bread but we only have one t in it we call it pita bread and there are so many greek shops that sell pita bread all over the country and so many restaurants that serve pita bread and a lot a lot of people here eat pita
Lots and lots and lots of Americans eat pita bread
ARZ made in Montreal by a Lebanese.
Then wrapped in plastic bags made in Japan, shipped accross the ocean by German cargo ships to America, where left overs are given to English bull dogs and Mexican hairless Chihuahuas.
@@az80311 why are you so stupid, stupid?
@@maskfal9600 I guess I must have been trained by you.
Did Kurzgesagt narrated this?
Happy 2019
We all had a good laught what the dough went to the “process called sheeting”
2:59 oddly satisfying
I can sleep now that I know how pitta bread is made.
It said 45 minutes but it was 15 minutes yeast time, 15 minutes second yeast time and 20 minutes cooling time. That's 50 minutes at least....
I'm hungry somehow watching it so satisfying.
0:17 Nice.

1:29. Is that green mildew or machine grease in the middle of that dough?
this is not green, that is stuck dough from the previews batch!
😟I thought it was machine grease, either way it looks disgusting 🤢
When it is blown up...indians shout- ROTI...
Almost every indian family eat roti everyday, in lunch and dinner...and there is no need to make rotis in factories.
"pitta bread"? Really?!
Exactly!!
Kuboose
Must be a brit ish thing?
my husband is a Brit and says it as Pit uh also.. where we live in Tennessee always has him repeat 99% of everything he says lol... I usually have to tell these nitwits what he is saying... I am American and half the time they dont understand me either...
British thing.
This was hard to watch because he kept saying pita wrong.
"dough blobs"
I like it
2:30 in a process known as “Sheeting”. If he pronounces Pita as Pitta, could it be Shit ing?
*noice*
Its Originated In Lebanon
NICE 👌
I just watched how to make hummus know pita bread I’m planing to make southeast/European snack night🤣🤣🤣
Hey how's it doing
I pita the fool! 💪😉

wow this automated Minecraft food generator got really complicated
I will never get used to the European pronunciation of pita... it’s peet-a to Americans.
You said European then you said American which one is it
You said European then you said American which one is it
@@masterofpuppets5072 EU: pit-ah USA: Peet-ah
They are roti not peta. We Indians make it more easily, and everyday. Any westerner thinking of cursing us, can simply make a visit to us anytime of the year, and we assure you, you'll leave eating this company made so-called Peta Bread. And the above process was just plenty of machines doing what our hands do. They don't know any other kinda Roti. Every vegetable and fruit can be used to flavour them. We adore food, so we adore guests. Anyone who has a bad experience in India, we're extremely sorry. Be safe. Vande Mataram!
Pita is Middle Eastern. Roti are Indian. Pita has oil in it. Roti has oil on the surface. :)
@2:41 "One Direction" I Mess Them
That murderer pressing the bread down should be in jail.
POV this got recommended to your because you watch Peetah Bread. Lmfao

Yummy 👻🍿
Isnt this the bread from a turkish Dürüm? I get it always at the Turkish takeout..
that is Lebanese bread, nowadays you find it all over the world
@@mrSuperfree my friend, what Lebanese? It's middle eastern and Greek. Lebanon is small country, previously province of Syria.
There's no Turkish food or culture. It's all adaptation of middle eastern and European cultures.
It’s also Greek and you can get it almost any European or middle east restaurant
Try it with Chicken Tikka Masala
ITS CALLED ROTI
1:25 am i the only one who saw that green stuff?
What green stuff
1:25
I eat those daily. One packet is 30 cents
Flat is justice
if i ever worked here id just take the pita off the line and eat it no matter how done it was
It LITERALLY says PITA on the fucking bags.
In Arabic it is known as khobos
Through a Dough-vidder..
Yeast? I always thought that pita did not have yeast.
2:19 It's so weird to hear "Fermentation Station" and not have the little choo-choo sound like they do on It's Alive with Brad Leone.
nah trust me pita is too dry for a wrap even with the standard arabic yogurt ... now if you substitute is with chapati, it'll be perfect due to chapati being thinner. all shawarma wrap should use chapati waaaaay better.
Its called khubs in Middle east
