      Thank you so much! The process is called Electroforming and it's such a fun way to make jewelry! It definitely is a niche but makes for some very unique results. 😁

    do you make your own conductive paint with graphite and paint or do you buy it? i haven't been able to get a paint that sticks well to certain things

    Hi, may I ask what the protective layer is?
    And do you put this layer also on the crystal or just on the copper?
    Beautiful artwork ❤

    • @crystalforged
      @crystalforged  3 месяца назад +1

      Hi! The Protective layer is a clear liquid called Protecta-Clear that prevents the copper from oxidizing and keeps it shiny. I do occasionally use it to protect the crystals as well if it’s a crystal that can get damaged more easily or especially for rings where the crystals would see the most wear. Thank you so much :)

    I really like your designs!!! Why don't you use brightener?

      Thanks so much!! I absolutely love to design intricate collections! I actually have the Midas Brightener and I just forgot to add it before I did my run 😂. Not a mistake I will make next time after the amount of polishing I had to do!

    Can you also use simple air-drying modeling clay for this?

    • @crystalforged
      @crystalforged  4 месяца назад

      Yes I believe you should be able to use air dry clay with no problem. You just want to make sure that every inch of air dry clay is either covered in the graphite paint or sealed to prevent the solution from eating it away.

    Hi, can I ask why you don't use liver of sulphur to oxidise your pieces? I love your work! thanks for sharing!

    • @crystalforged
      @crystalforged  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hello! I actually do use Liver of Sulphur but this video I used something new I found on Amazon called Brass Black. I wanted to see if I get different results and it looks like the results are very similar. The only benefit to brass black is being able to be more target since this you can paint onto your pieces rather than just dip your piece into the liver of Sulphur. I love making these videos so I'm glad to hear you enjoyed watching it :)
