  • Ben Goldman, the 1980 Philadelphia Amateur Champion, officiated a qualifying event for the U.S. Senior Open a day after winning the J. Wood Platt Trophy. He served on the GAP Executive Committee from 1976-82. Goldman, a former Philmont Country Club member who grew up alongside brother Andy Goldman at Ashbourne Country Club, remains active in the Philadelphia golf community through his presence at Atlantic City Country Club.
