Actually, cards like Sangan would be negated by Face-Off because it happens during the end of the damage step; it is during this sub-step that monsters destroyed by battle are sent to the graveyard.
About Jolt Counter. I've played Battlin' Boxers since they came out. Jolt Counter didn't come out until World Superstars. It didn't see competitive play because it didn't exist yet.
Face off CAN be used agaisnt floating effects of monsters destroyed by battle, they activate at the end of the damage step which is still inside the damage step
the thing about vanity's call is that it's also a weaker version of tachyon transmigration which is an omni negate that only needs chain 2 and can be a hand trap if you have number 107 on the field the only negative is you basically need a galaxy eyes deck to use it
In defense of Jolt Counter: Most Battlin’ Boxer monsters have effects that activate during the Battle Phase, so having Jolt Counter set allows you to counter the negation of those effects and non-target remove the source of the negate. We are still talking about a very subpar deck, people don’t really set traps anymore and the Battle Phase is rarely seen nowadays, but in the right context you may want to run this bad boy.
I get that Broken Line is your best card pick on the list, but there are two great ways to use the card with link summoning. First, and most effective in my opinion, is to take one special monster zone, then set Broken Line in the column of the zone you did not pick. The other way is to set the card in a column that your opponent's link monster(s) is/are pointing to. Now, this can all be avoided by simply having a strategy that doesn't use link summoning. Also, if your opponent is playing around the card as much as possible, you may only be able to negate after they get a large body on the field. All in all, I'm not arguing for the card to be removed from the list, just mentioning a couple things that I feel could have been mentioned.
Since "Seal of Wickedness" just says "1 face-up card on the field", you _can_ target your own cards. Would be useful if they were balanced around helping both players; e.g. something like Chicken Game, so you could use it, but your opponent couldn't. Though the effect would have to be even stronger than Chicken Game to warrant running a really specific / situational card like this.
Funny how Broken line has multiple batterymen cards (And Voltech Dragon or if using my nickname Batteryman T-Rex) since the only SHOCKING thing is that it would make more sense in Mekk Knights.
Hi @TheDuelLogs How about something different? The best/most impactful single card of every YGO Set, that never has been on the banned/limited list. That would be a multi part, since there are so many Sets, but it would be pretty interesting. You could even specify it even more, by choosing a card from every Set that is (or would be) the best in the current Meta :)
Floating in the back of all this is some pretty important deck-building philosophy: it's easy to imagine a few specific situations where you might want one of these cards, but a faster, more consistent deck would not get into those situations in the first place, making these cards into total-dead draws
One niche use of Secret Sense Scroll Techniques is if the card sent itself to the graveyard as the cost (like handtraps) those will count and the trap is live. But in those mind of situations you're better off playing Called by the Grave so again, just a niche use I thought I'd throw out there
Face-off can negate floating effect as monsters get send to the graveyard at the end of the damage step, and Face-off can be activated at the end of the damage step. I've tested it in duel links, but that follows OCG rules, not sure if is the same in the TCG
I have two Ms. Judges in my Dual Links deck. She's pretty good for early on since she's still an 1800 no tribute monster that can be used for tributes or other things and has a passive 25% chance of stopping anything. Basically, if you don't have anything better.
3:18 I'd say its only problem is the battle phase restriction since if your playing a Battlin Boxer deck and don't have a Battlin Boxer on the field by the end of your turn you either bricked super hard or your playing the deck incorrectly since it doesn't even require a battlin boxer xyz monster one headgear on the field could allow you to use it
Face off is a Viable Card in Duel Links since battle traps are very well Alive and this Card can Counter Witchcrafters Verre madame and kiteroid and so on
Ahh but in DL, Ms Judge was meta for a while in Desperado/Sartorius decks. Players would use Cup of Ace to draw two cards, then summon Ms Judge for +1 card and an Omni Negate. Getting negated in DL is kind of a nightmare, because decks are smaller then the TCG. Players can rarely afford to throw away a card to trigger a negate.
Funny thing about Showdown of the Secret Sense Scroll Techniques is that it counters any effect activated by a card that sends itself to the Graveyard for cost, such as Photon Orbital or Eldlich, or is activated from the Graveyard without banishing itself (like Paleozoics or Eldlich) without needing a second copy of it to exist, since the card that activated the effect is in the Graveyard at the time and obviously has the same name as itself
I've binge watched a lot of thse videos lately, and my god it's made me never want to play Yu-Gi-Oh again, despite being a big fan of it when I was younger. A note about vanity's call vs chain burn (and chain beat if that ever becomes relevant again): those decks are relying on their chain coming through to get more cards for their next turn. So if you can resolve this vs chain burn, sure you dealt more to yourself than they would have to you, but you also negated 1 to 2 Accumulated Fortunes and any other draw or stun cards they activated.

In regards to Do A Barrel Roll! A more appropriate effect to make it better, such as if it was retrained- This card is always treated as a mecha phantom beast card (if proper searching is to be invoked) If you control at least two Mecha Phantom Beast monsters (at least one of which is not a token) when a spell/trap/monster effect is activated. Negate the activation and if you do, destroy it. Then summon one mecha phantom beast token. Not gonna do the normal card text but the general idea is there. Would fall in line with the recent archetypal support Konami makes too. Supports the token play style, is technically searchable, and omni-negate
For Do A Barrel Roll To give support to this card; on the next set (JOTL) Mecha Phantom Beast Harrliard must be on the field so that when the token(s) get tributed, it will special summon a token back. As a bonus if Mecha Phantom Beast Megaraptor is on the board, two can get spawned that turn. As a solo card, Do A Barrel Roll is a bad card but with Harrilard as support it kind of helped it out for its time.
Funny enough, Forbidden Scripture is one of my favorite cards. In Duel Links, at least. Using it on Yubel users was very entertaining. At the same time, I agree- it isn't very good except in certain scenarios. Like trolling.

For Ms Judges eff: the chance is 33% Explanation: If we toss the coin twice, the following combination will follow (heads, heads; heads, tails; tails, heads; tails, tails). Heads, tails and tails, heads are the same combination so you can count them as 1, so this makes only 3 combinations. and so you get 1/3 which is 33%
That's not how that works. It's an x is true and y is true boolean. Just because x being false OR y being false leads to a false does not mean that the chances of success are 33%. The chances of success are exactly 25% since there are 4 outcomes
@@119Bronco ok thx i have taken the outcome of once heads and once tails as literally the same cause i have taken in account all tosses in the action together as each toss for itself

Lullaby of Obedience
3:18 I'd say its only problem is the battle phase restriction since if your playing a Battlin Boxer deck and don't have a Battlin Boxer on the field by the end of your turn you either bricked super hard or your playing the deck incorrectly since it doesn't even require a battlin boxer xyz monster one headgear on the field could allow you to use it
Face off is a Viable Card in Duel Links since battle traps are very well Alive and this Card can Counter Witchcrafters Verre madame and kiteroid and so on
it is already said in other comment, I just want to reinforce that you missed the "but, in Duel Links" in Ms. Judge spot
Top 10 Worst “Once per chain” effects
I think a top 10 best opc effects would be harder to put together by how many garbage opc effects there are
I've binge watched a lot of thse videos lately, and my god it's made me never want to play Yu-Gi-Oh again, despite being a big fan of it when I was younger. Half the time it sounds like most strategies in modern yu-gi-oh are essentially both players playing solitaire and whoever wins their own solo game first wins the match, rather than two people actually reacting to what the other is doing.
i don't remember if I requested this or not, but top 10 best stratos clones
Forbidden Scripture is actually pretty good, and Ms Judge can be useful in duel links. I really think you should rethink the order
I gotta say your channel is so good I like before watching lol
Man, I’m waiting for your videos so much I actually made it into the first 15 seconds of upload, keep up the great work fam!
Forbbiden Scripture was used as a side deck on Evilswarm against the Bujin Archetype because Bujins destroyed Evilswarm.
That number 4 makes me really want a specific top 10: Top 10 yugioh cards that reference video games/other franchises and such. Title can be changed based on how much there is to work with.

2. Ancient Leaf
3. Into The Void, Cheerful Coffin
To answer, why would we play any of these cards when you can just play the Solemn Brigate?,
'cause I'm poor.

Make a "top 10 ways to negate hand traps". Some of the obvious ones like Debunk qnd Chivalry, and the more obscure ones like Number 65: Djinn Buster
Uh what? The most common way to disable HT is "Called By The Grave" or "Millineum Eyes Restrict".
World Legacy Sorrow might see some play in a Evil Twin deck along side other staple disruptions if they are going first. They meet the conditions to make use of it every turn. That being said, the opt clause means at most 2 can be ran.
In regards to Do A Barrel Roll!
A more appropriate effect to make it better, such as if it was retrained-
This card is always treated as a mecha phantom beast card (if proper searching is to be invoked)
If you control at least two Mecha Phantom Beast monsters (at least one of which is not a token) when a spell/trap/monster effect is activated. Negate the activation and if you do, destroy it. Then summon one mecha phantom beast token.
Not gonna do the normal card text but the general idea is there. Would fall in line with the recent archetypal support Konami makes too. Supports the token play style, is technically searchable, and omni-negate
For Do A Barrel Roll
To give support to this card; on the next set (JOTL) Mecha Phantom Beast Harrliard must be on the field so that when the token(s) get tributed, it will special summon a token back.
As a bonus if Mecha Phantom Beast Megaraptor is on the board, two can get spawned that turn.
As a solo card, Do A Barrel Roll is a bad card but with Harrilard as support it kind of helped it out for its time.
Ms Judge is actually insane in duel links, but that’s probably the only use for her haha
This Channel inspired me to do MTG top 10s

Alternative title:
Top 10 omni negates that worse than the most broken traps
So just not good trap cards?
Vanity’s call is literally a worse tachyon transmigration
Tachyon Transmigration is still one of the most powerful cards in the game, held back only by being unsearchable (minus a bad Curious/Gryphon combo).
You know it isn't a Duel Logs video if the Solemn Cards or Ash Blossom isn't mentioned
I think this would be interesting
Top 10 Cards that negate Normal Summons
Very good work on video. I am looking forward more video. Please do the video about worst life points cost list.
Top 10 cards that were never banned/limited OR top 10 worst banned cards
Funny enough, Forbidden Scripture is one of my favorite cards. In Duel Links, at least. Using it on Yubel users was very entertaining. At the same time, I agree- it isn't very good except in certain scenarios. Like trolling.
I’m kinda required to use Seal of Wickedness for “Skill Drain” strategies in Duel Links, since we lack Skill Drain at the moment and the only other option I can think of is Axe of Fools, which is also pretty bad.
Day 14: Top Ten Non Effect Fusion Monsters (Aka Monster’s that can be Special Summoned with Fists of the Unrivaled Tenyi)
Ultimate White. Stop. Really no reasons to summon a different One. Sorry
Beud
Change it to Top Ten Non Effect Extra Deck monsters and you might have something lol
@@wyomingptt sea monster of theseus would make on the list because it's instant fusion target. Also Invoked Magellanica, Scrap Archfiend, Gaia Knight The Force of Earth, Gem-Knight Pearl, Gagagigo The Risen and many more
pretty sure he did it already or similar anyway, also the top is Ultimate Blue-Eyes White Dragon, everything else is pretty much irrelevant
I see you decided against putting "oh fish" here in the end. Good call, i like the card.

Showdown of the secret sense scrolls work with hand traps too so stuff like Kuriboh discards itself before its own effect activates so showdown of the secret sense scrolls negate it also it works with graveyard effects
I used World Legacy‘s Sorrow in my World Chalice Orcust deck (when Ib and Harp were still legal) and I saw a ton of success with it. The deck ended on a board of Apollousa, Galatea (Longirsu) + Babel or Crescendo and this Counter Trap aswell. Unfortunately Ib is banned so there’s no consistent way to search it anymore

Floaters also activate at the end of the damage step. Floaters and any trigger effects wich trigger condition has to do with your monster leaving the field or being destroyed (plus what you already said). It was a pain to learn this haha, unchainned made me learn.

Though I don't play Subterror, still play Shaddolls... cool flipping
For Ms Judges eff: the chance is 33%
Explanation: If we toss the coin twice, the following combination will follow (heads, heads; heads, tails; tails, heads; tails, tails).
Vanity's Call is also subject to being negated itself, which adds to its problems. The only way it could become viable is by reducing its LP cost to 2000 and making it Spell Speed 4.
If would be enough if u can activate this card on Chain Link 3 because ur opponent oviously will zry to chainblock u if he can with 2 card effects
Nice vid DuelLogs!
Could you make a top 10 worst field spells list? And btw make sure to include the evil twin field spell in that video
Question what do you think of toon decks
I almost choked and had to rewind the video at number 4. I had no idea Konami made a card literally based off a old star fox meme
Is Do A Barrel Roll a Star Fox reference?
Yes
