The world needs more Geddys , Alexes and Neils
Agreed! If only. 🙂
@@steveb796 Unfortunately, they are one of a kind… We are blessed🙏
I have Neil’s first set of temple blocks. Found them in a church basement down the street from where he grew up in Port Dalhousie. The 80’something year old lady church administrator was telling me stories about when Neil practiced there as a teenager. And how in later years she got ahold of his mother to tell her that the church had his ‘hollow coconuts’ (as she called them) and his mom said she’d pass along the message. The box was dated 1971. When I found it while doing the clean out, the church lady told me that I could have them but if Neil ever came looking for them she would have to send him to my house! You can imagine my reply. They are one of my most prized possessions. If I ever have the chance of meeting Geddy I’m going to give them to him. Greatest drummer to ever sit behind a kit. RIP Neil.
Good story!
Wow! That's a cherished possession. Wonderful. See everyone, good things happen when you spend time in a church building! 😉
Thank you for sharing this with us! We're blessed to have you as part of our Rush Family.
eric
Thank you for sharing the story. Right place, right time. ❤❤
THAT'S INCREDIBLE!!! Live it! Thank You for sharing and enjoy that treasure! 🙏
How can anyone not love these guys as regular people and musicians? So much joy, laughter and brilliance. Rush fan forever...
I'm a guitar player. Geddy and Neil are the only musicians who make WANT to play air drums and air bass with every Rush tune. The toughest part is which one do I pick???? LOVE these guys.
I read Geddys book. I laughed. I cried. And to watch all of this stuff that relates to Geddy and Rush is wonderful. This was great!
I haven't read Geddy's book yet. I need to, and I have a feeling I will also laugh and cry. Thank you for your note and kind words. 🙂
eric
@@TheLoudboyExperience Absolutely Eric. Keep up the great work.
The thing that gets me the most is how grounded they all are. Talents like that being so “normal” is quite rare.
In the late seventies I used to hang out a little at Geddy's mum's store (Newmarket Ontario). She was so proud of him and had a big poster of Rush in her store . She was very kind and would always take the time to chat with me . That's the closest I have ever been to Geddy other then at concerts .
What a wonderful story and I was sad when I heard that sweet lady passed away. Rest in Peace, Mary Weinrib...
This is a fantastic story. So great to hear! Thanks bud, eric
I love Alex's dry sense of humor!!! Love this trio!
Alex is one of a kind, ridiculously funny. They're all one of a kind 🙂
What a guy. Down to earth, funny, friendly, and just so humble. Class acts, all 3 of those gentlemen. Peart is sorely missed.
The humility of Rush, the commitment to their families, and the care put into their craft set them in a league of their own making.
I miss Rush, Geddy, and Alex, and may Neil Peart rest in Peace.
Geddy Lee a legend virtuoso and what a great guy too!!!
Mr. Lindsay, I've been wondering what to name the Alex Lifeson Tribute video I'll be compiling and editing soon.
This one is Geddy Lee: The Maestro
The last one, Neil Peart: The Professor
But you may have given a great suggestion here! Alex Lifeson: The Virtuoso!
Of course, Virtuoso can be applied to all Rush members!
While I've heard some good suggestions from our fellow Rush Family members, yours stands out. Alex Lifeson: The Virtuoso.
Thank you for being here!
eric
They gave us life, they gave us hope, they gave us knowledge all while being themselves and doing what they love. Class unlimited ❤️
🙂 All smiles. They gave us HOPE. Neil wrote of hope over and over again. It's wonderful to have you here.
eric
My favorite band. No gimmicks, no BS, just pure talent and great songwriting.
Same here.
Well said. Art as expression, not as market campaigns. Rush still captures our imaginations.
Thanks for sharing this, eric
Humility, confidence and PURE TALENT!
I'm just thankful they found the new guy. GOD BLESS RUSH.
It's kind of miraculous how it worked out like it did.
The stars looked down and then aligned, uniting three geniuses to form a trinity of friendship, bound by music.
That’s how it is, and how it ought to be. Endlessly rocking!
Rush
I love Geddy Lee!
I do too. I'll say more about this in a new video soon. Thanks for writing and inspiring me. eric
Geniuses, plain and simple. Most of us could only dream of creating something extraordinary that will be known forever in history
Precisely. 🙂
You’ve done it again! There’s nothing like waking up to a RUSH documentary (which I think this is on the special features on one of my RUSH Blu Ray’s) . But it’s been years since I’ve seen it.
Thank you again for making my day! 😃
Hey Kevin! Thank you for this lovely note. It's my honor to compile and edit these tribute videos. Hearing from you again is a great encouragement to me. Thank you for making my day.
Talk to you soon, eric
Awesome! GL is multi talented for sure! That baseball collection is sweet!
It's pretty nuts. And I thought my big box of 80s & 90s baseball cards was impressive. 🙂
Kudos for painstakingly assembling all these videos.
My pleasure, you're welcome.
Thank you for watching!
I'm my toe into the live stream now, but the traditional videos will continue as inspiration strikes.
Keep in touch, eric
This is such a great collection of back stage material. I see Beyond the Lighted Stages bonus features, r30 bonus features. Great work!
You should see how many terabytes of Rush archival footage is on my Avid these days. LOL You nailed it, and I've listed the Rush videos in the description. I've asked everyone to go and support the boys by buying these videos as many of us already have.

Hello Mr.Lee ! Nice to hear something from you , i send you greetings from germany
Hello Carsten! Greetings from the States. It's wonderful having you here. eric
Hello mister ! Thank you so much ! i appreciate it ! Never have been in Amerika , send you greetings from Kassel ( Germany ) Carsten
The best of friends when it doesn't end stage left. No hobbies in common. Just being a musician and composer and enjoying what your doing. As a kid. I couldn't learn fast enough and I couldn't stop thinking music all day. I would get home and want to sit down and get to playing. Thanks for this fantastic band and it's video.
The formation of Rush and the enduring friendship of Geddy, Alex, and Neil is nothing short of miraculous. Like you, I was a teen "kid" who played Rush on repeat all night while I slept. I must have subconsciously heard Moving Pictures and Permanent Waves a thousand times. Rush was literally in my dreams.
You're welcome, sir. I'm having a blast, but I can't do any of this without you. Thank you, eric

After being diagnosed Cadasil dementia, I was as a way terminal, but after getting on Social Security, I find a new level of being a Rush fan. I hope I can get to know more of you better.
Thank you for sharing this. I, too, was given a hand for which I did not ask. I was born with a congenital spine condition, missing an important part of C1 just under my skull. Multiple neck surgeries later, so I wouldn't die, or be paralyzed, I now live in constant chronic pain. After trying and failing to maintain my career in the TV Film industry, I had to admit defeat and was quickly given disability. Another congenital heart condition also almost killed me, and I had to have quadruple bypass surgery recently.
I've been allowed to go through quite a bit in life, but I'm still here, writing a new friend back at this very moment.
Let's count our blessings while we can.
It's a pleasure to hear from you, keep in touch.
eric
geddy lee's (and the whole band's) best playing on tape is on a show of hands. the sheer chops are off the charts, as is the precision and feel. the power windows and hold your fire albums are their "steely dan" records.
Yes! A Show of Hands was my first exposure to live Rush. The energy of the opening song, The Big Money, is ridiculous. Almost 10 years later, on Different Stages, I felt the same power when they opened the live CD with Dreamline
Thanks for sharing this with us, eric

Singing for your supper and gas money is probably the greatest feeling for a new musician. It's so cool that they remember what that felt like. Ged & Alex were always so humble and modest, they let the music speak for them.
Panzer's Deli!
My high school rock band had a similar one. When we were paid a few bucks for our first gig, we went to the International House of Pancakes and spent our well-earned gig money on late-night breakfast food.
Memories from a lifetime ago... 🙂
eric
A very nice tribute to Geddy. On my favorite headache, you can really hear what he adds to the band Rush. I’m old, but I keep that CD in my car for inspiration.
🙂 Your welcome. I still have my entire CD collection, with no plans of getting rid of it. Welcome to 2025, where OWNING music is rare, and old school.
I get inspired by Rush every time I listen. The Neil tribute is also available, and Alex will come out in a few days.
Thank you for being here, eric
It really is such a great album. It's was so cool to see him on his book tour and to listen to what he said about the most recent bonus tracks.
I truly love Geddy and the band, beautiful voice beautiful music, thank you guys,😊❤
🙂 We do too! Thanks bud, eric
Thank you for bringing together these great clips and memories. Rush has been a great part of my life. That blue vinyl record was definitely a beautiful surprise.
Hey Frank! It's awesome to hear from you again. You're welcome. Thank you to our fellow Rush Family member Neil Kist for asking if I would make similar videos for Geddy and Alex, as I have for Neil. My response was, YES! Not only do you guys encourage me constantly, but I'm thankful for your ideas and input.
I hope you're doing well sir, eric
The BEST BAND of the WORLD!!!! RUSH!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
Yes. Yes they are! 🙂
The Best Band in the Galaxy! The excitiment always before and during the live gig amongst us the fans were really special! Witnessed "just" three times, in Finland. Fan of them since 1979-80 near the border of CCCP, far away was Canada those times when just magazines and the LPs. Bought ESL for myself as Christmas present ; )
Nice! Nothing wrong with 3 times. You got to see Rush live!
I'm glad you're here, eric
"...I don't want to think that what I do is so important - I'm just a musician. I'd rather get excited about something else."
"I'm just a musician"
Geddy Lee is so humble, how can you not like and respect him?
Humility is at the core of every good person. Well said.
Thank you, eric
Thank you so much for this! You are awesome!
You're welcome. Thanks again for watching and saying hello. 🙂
@ You bet! As a relative newcomer to Rush I’ve been binging (or obsessing) over their music and for now, at least my favorite is their 1981 Montreal Exist Stage Left performance. Keep up the great work!
Geddy says that he, himself, is one of the biggest rock legends in the world? I hadn't heard this. Alex Lifeson & Neil Peart Tributes, plus our new Live Rush Family Meeting shows are available now, here, at The Loudboy Experience. Thanks for watching, eric 🙂
-Rush-❤

Thanks bud, eric
As a big fan of Rush and pro musician myself, I entered into the video with some kind of suspicion and not high hopes, but second after second you convinced me about the quality and the effort you put in the whole thing and couldn't stop to watch! Very nice job, man! I gave a thumb up and subscribed! I got a relatively fresh RUclips channel with my own music and cover versions too, if you are curious about you can check it out anytime you want. I will check your other videod later. Have a nice day!
Hey Sid, I'll check out your channel.
Everyone, check out Sid's channel!
I've been doing this for a year. Once upon a time, I worked behind the scenes in the TV Film industry. I lost my dream career to ongoing post-neck surgery issues.
Doing this, using my skill set to celebrate and honor Rush, is a full-circle story. Having you guys join me on this voyage is a rebirth of what I love and what I'm meant to do with my talents.
Your support means the world to me; thank you, sir.
eric
@@TheLoudboyExperience Hi Eric, if you think that I became a full-time pro musician at the age of 42, you can easily imagine that I had to make every kind of side jobs to pursue my goals and having money to survive, buying equipment, paying lessons etc. From salesman to giving Spanish lessons (my mother language), working as extra in films (Well, I worked with Madonna and Antonio Banderas in "Evita"), kitchen helper in Munich for a rock concerts agency (Uh, I cooked for Robert Plant, Steve Vai, Mel C, The Black Eyed Peas, Beck, Audioslave, The Damned and many others, not bad). But all this so called "entertainment industry" changed a lot and change at a supersonic speed - the most dangerous things are Internet and AI - . I feel that "erosion" effect too when related to the act of create and make music. I am not alone anyway. When I read your story or friends of mine in my homeland (I live in Germany since 2003). At least we must do what makes us happy, it´s the goal inside. Isn´t it?
45 years ago I married the woman who found an artist that perfectly applied Fly by night art on a Shirt. One of a kind, wishing one day for signatures, without Neil, a dream for ever gone. Presto has a Grammy songs
Congratulations on finding your wife. 🙂 It's awesome to hear that she created that shirt, nicely done. I pray that you're still together.
Like you, the dream of getting my commissioned, custom painting of Rush signed is gone as well. It's on the wall behind me in the camera shot in my videos. At Christmas a few years ago, my wife surprised me with this one-of-a-kind painting of Rush. We share a similar story, and I feel your pain. I'm very blessed that my wife and I will be celebrating our 30th soon. EM30! 😉
Thank you very much for reaching out. Keep in touch.
eric
Great compilation. Thanks for sharing!
You're welcome. Thank you for being here again! 🙂
Musical genius.
Yes sir! 😄
33:12 - Many MANY people (including Ged, Lerxt, and Neil) have always named Moving Pictures as their "breakthrough" album. Not me. I heard The Spirit of Radio ON THE RADIO when I was 13, and that song changed my life. I immediately went out and bought Permanent Waves on cassette. That summer, I had my first real job that paid money and I worked my a$$ off so I could buy a boom-box, batteries (remember D-cells, anybody?), and a few cassettes. Permanent Waves was #1 on the list, followed by AC/DC Back in Black and Van Halen Women and Children First. After that, I shopped backwards and bought 2112, Hemispheres, and All The World's a Stage. This was around 1982 or 3, and I had finally boosted my stereo experience to a direct drive turntable, a Sansui amp/radio tuner, and a pair of Realistic (yep - Radio Shack) tower speakers. Many nights of listening to 2112 in it's entirety - likewise Farewell to Kings, Caress of Steel, Fly by Night, Hemispheres, and the debut album (Working Man was another life changer) Love you guys! RIP Neil. I'm still not over losing you as a mentor and a creator.
All smiles here! As you walked down memory lane, I was with you the entire time. Thank you for sharing this.
Yes, Permanent Waves is a vital album in the Rush catalog. PW served as the perfect bridge from epic long songs like Hemispheres to making modern music, like Spirit of Radio. I've spoken of Natural Science in several of my videos. If I was forced to choose my top five Rush songs, Natural Science would be on that list.
I remember the excitement of having my worldview changed forever from 2112 and knowing that I had to shop backward and forward from that moment in time. Nothing less than owning all Rush music would be my goal. Album after album, back then I purchased CDs, would be added, but more importantly, learning Rush and building up my mind with the best music and lyrics my hard-earned money could buy.
I've been working since I was 10, when I picked vegetables for a rural Vermont farmer. Ever since then, I've always worked. I tell my story "Working Man Story" video, as well as the latest Father & Son Fortnite Fun video.
With my hard-earned money, I slowly built my own stereo system. At first, I took my Dad's old stereo, made from real wood, with massive tower speakers, removed the turntable, and plugged my Sony CD player in. After that, I purchased a Sony receiver, a double tape deck, and finally satellite speakers and a subwoofer.
To this day I have real audio component stereo systems in my house. I have a 6.1 surround in my living room. Attached to my Denon receiver, I have Klipsch speakers, and a Sony 4K Blu-Ray player.
Down in my bunker, in the little room where I record my videos, I have a 2nd Denon receiver with a 3.1 Klipsch speaker setup. This allows me to blast Rush while editing on my Avid system.
I love and use my phone for communication and information, but it is NOT my source of entertainment. I watch real wall-mounted TV panels, with real surround sound, from my comfy chair in the living room.
LOL, if you're still reading this novel, thank you.
Thank you for being part of our Rush Family, keep in touch.

Geddy has always come across as such a nice humble guy, yet very focused on his work. He's even admitted that he must be a pain to work with as he's so meticulous in the studio. All 3 are just ordinary family guys without ego's. That is why they were able to exist for over 40 years. In recent years Geddy & Nancy have walked extensively in Northern England in the Lake District & Northumberland. I do too & I think I would absolutely s**t myself if I bumped into them one day in the hills, where I spend a lot of time in the summer. 😁
That would be a wonderful meeting. Geddy would give you time and talk to you too. If it happens, please share. 🙂 I need my Northern England tour, someday, someday.
Thanks bud, eric
I am enjoying this man. Some clips I have not seen before. Thank you Eric!
Thanks bud. Like I said in your comments, I was thrilled to see the My Favourite Headache video on your channel: Will's Rush Page 🙂
Hint, hint everybody 😉👆🏻
The Rush well of usable, available archive footage is not infinite. I'm thrilled to be able to show a couple rare clips along the way. A wise man once said, there's "nothing new under the Sun" He was right!

@ayoung2112 it's great to hear from you again bud! 🙂
@@TheLoudboyExperience ditto
It’s really cool how RUSH has always sustained in the culture and is finding a whole new round of younger fans with their own YT channels who are getting blown away with us day 1, Old School, fans as their first reaction audience. It’s very heartwarming
to witness their sincerity. It’s also pretty funny sometimes. Also even though there were female RUSH fans the first go around, as few as they might have been, this generation of female RUSH reactor RUclipsrs are impressively very pretty. They are adorable and great fun. Really makes the case for wanting a Rock and Roll Concert Time Machine.
I haven't brought this up, but since you have, I'll finally comment.
My Dad turned me on to the existence of the Rush reaction videos. It's not my cup of tea, but I'm glad a new generation is finding them.
For obvious reasons, I've told my family that I can't make "first-time" Rush reaction videos. I have thought about making a reaction-style video just to be able to play otherwise copyrighted Rush music on my channel. Is that how it works? What a peculiar loophole!!! Somehow reaction videos can play anything with impunity. Strange.
Thanks, bud,
eric
Eric, as per usual you knocked it out of the park again, is really ironic to me that you chose to do geddy, he is who I look up to as a bass player (as so many before me have). I also have a rather large vinyl collection of original presses of rush, most I got from my mom ( I know a shock, a female rush fan) I think is great that you can share your momentous from you ancestors.
As always keep up the great work and awesome content, talk soon.
Neill.
Neil! Thanks to you, this Geddy Tribute exists. Your question about videos for Alex & Geddy inspired me to get to work on this. Thank you, sir!
That's very cool getting original Rush vinyl from your Mom! Now that's a treasured family heirloom.
Even from my, our?, generation to my kids, I've seen them not care much about keeping the past alive through important items and collections. I keep too much, but these treasures from my family and collectibles from my life are part of my story. Much of what's in my camera shot is a small example of this. I'm glad we share this.
As always, it's awesome to hear from you. Thanks again for the idea! Keep them coming, anytime.
eric
@@TheLoudboyExperience I'm 10 years younger than you but I feel like we are in the same generation, did you ever get to see RUSH in concert? Also we need to get you too the 5k, we still have time and from what I'm seeing, you're on track, keep it up my brother. Neill.
@neillkist3580 🙂 I'm glad I put a question mark. LoL I've learned to be careful when approaching the subject of age. This mostly applies to women of course. 🙂
Yes, I've seen Rush numerous times, from Roll the Bones to R40. I've held back on telling my complete Rush concert tale on camera because my times seeing them are dwarfed by the 100+ club members I've heard from in these comments.
I've thought about our concert stories being part of the upcoming Livestream show. We'll see 🙂
@ I've only seen them 2 times, cwa and R40, but man what a show, something I will never forget, it was defiantly a bucket list.
@neillkist3580 I did not see Clockwork Angels! 😢 Because of this, I'm thankful to Rush for their dedication in capturing so many of their tours. I love my Blu-ray. But my professional life was imploding during that time, and seeing Rush was an impossibility.
Here's the takeaway. Life can kick our butts and attempt to take us down; it's unavoidable. How we rise from the ashes is what matters. I wouldn't be who I am without the dark parts of my past. Hard work, relentless determination, and the ability to keep fighting no matter the odds, can lead to a brighter, more successful future.
I'm stepping off my soapbox now 😉

"Shrimpcot." It's a new Disney theme park for small people!
All things considered (longevity with the SAME lineup, diverseness of styles, creativity, talent, etc. etc.) the best band ever.

I still have my Buck knife exact same one as you have. Those were fantastic knives back in the day. Oh, and I still have my Rush Hemispheres album on red vinyl, which was only released in Canada on the Anthem label. I don't live in Canada, so it was one hell of a lucky find.
Awesome, a fellow Buck knife owner. 🙂 Red vinyl? I don't have that one, very nice. Thanks for being here, eric
16:13 god he plucks those string so hard. Regular guitar he’d either break the strings or cut his fingers all up. Crazy to me he gets that tone without strings hitting the pickups
The Big Bass Maestro! 🙂
If you haven't read his book go buy it. Super interesting life and his mother could've written her own book about the Holocaust. The guy has a great sense of humor and never takes himself too seriously. The story behind his name is crazy. His own mother was confused about the origin. 😂
Maybe we can talk about Geddy's book in our next Rush Livestream Show. No, I haven't gotten it yet. But I need to. I find the Holocaust backstory fascinating, part of our history, his personal history that should never be forgotten.

Geddy saying that maybe you should not meet your heroes... sadly it can be disappointing. Geddy and Alex were gracious, funny and real. 2 minutes of their time is a memory I treasure, Grace Under Pressure tour in the Summit Houston TX. Howard was a great guy too!

That would be amazing for Geddy to play some shows. A My Favourite Headache tour witb surprises. And yes, I think Neil would applaud. Neil knew Geddy like a brother. Touring may have been tedious for Neil, I believe Geddy loved it.
Thanks for writing!

The "Family Sawyer" bit shows exactly how disturbed Canadians can be...
Isn't it wonderful! 😄🇨🇦🍁
As part Canadian myself, I resemble that remark. 😉
Thanks bud, eric

I've always been curious as to why I see laundry equipment on stage with RUSH. Great stuff and Getty has quite the humour 👍
While I compiled and edited this video, I smiled often because Geddy is very funny. He's not credited enough for this, but given who his best friend is, his ability to improvise humor makes sense.
Thanks Robert, eric
I miss those three guys
Me too. We do. Thanks bud, eric
Looking at your background I see Star Wars poster, Larry Bird framed pic and obvioulsy Rush themes. What else do you and I have in commone? Fantastic. Just discovered this channel and have subscribed. If you are also a Bealtes fan, then we are sympatico LOL
I'm glad you asked. I've told my wife that a quick look at the background in my videos is a snapshot of what I like and who I am. Yes, that's a Star Wars Trilogy framed poster, signed by Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and Carrie Fisher. Next to that is a Master Sword from The Legend of Zelda.
Above my Avid system monitors is a commissioned custom Rush painting, a gift from my wife.
Larry Bird is back there and is signed by him, my all-time favorite Celtics player.
Unseen on the wall to my left is a Lord of the Rings Trilogy poster. There are original toys, like Transformers, Star Wars figures, Matt Smith Doctor Who, Batman from The Dark Knight, and other mementos from my 50 years wandering the face of the Earth.
Original Star Wars toy ships, some from 1999, and most from 1977-83 hang from the ceiling.
A multipaneled canvas poster of Neil Peart's 30th-anniversary drum set covers the wall above my camera and lights. There is framed vinyl from Rush and Dream Theater. I have two Dream Theater vinyls signed by the band. A Moving Pictures original vinyl is signed by John Petrucci & Mike Mangini, and a 2112 cover with reprinted signatures of Geddy, Alex, and Neil.
And wait, there's more! Just kidding, I'll spare you the full list of the junk I've collected over time.
I'm thrilled to meet you and happy to know we're alike in many ways.
Keep in touch my friend, eric

lol…LOTR as well? Fantastic. I have a Return of the Jedi movie poster signed by the main cast as well as George Lucas. Bird is my favourite all time player, but no signed memorabilia. I have all the signatures of Rush on differing items (books, paintings, etc). My prized piece is a pair of ProMark sticks used by Peart at the Test for Echo concert in Toronto. I have all kinds of Star Trek, Star Wars and Harry Potter props as well…..keep up the good work…we would probably be best friends in a different lifetime😂. Also have a working Green Lantern lantern that lights up with the ring.
@g.christopherlyn685 That's some great stuff! Nice. Your Jedi signed is valuable like mine, but I'll never sell it. I have a photo from Phantom Menace signed by George and young Anakin. There's a Star Trek ship in my room as well. I mention to confirm we can certainly be friends now, and in another life next door best ones. 🙂
lol…👍🏻

TEXAS has been hardcore RUSH territory from day ONE. 😁👍
Totally! I've seen Rush in Texas at least 6 times? Possibly seven. My college roommate and best friend is a physics professor at Sam Houston. I'm going to his house in College Station and we're heading to see Dream Theater on Valentine's Day in Houston.
While I don't live there, I've been there as a hardcore Rush fan, watching them in Texas since Counterparts.
It's great to hear from you!
eric
rush is cool & interesting guys.
The "cool" remark would probably make them laugh a little. Which is another endearing quality of Rush. 🙂
You've got The Spirit of Radio, The Garden, Tom Sawyer. You've done well!!
I guess he did have more than one great song in him. :-)

Rush Family, Please help! We have The Maestro & The Professor, Geddy and Neil. What should we call Alex for his upcoming Tribute video?
I've considered "The Funniest Man on Earth" - it's accurate but long...
Thanks, eric

The Luthier!
@DeSantis5 I had to look this up. Come to find out, my Dad is a Luthier for most stringed instruments. Beyond fixing, repairing, stringing, and playing the violin to guitar, my Dad even built a dulcimer from scratch.
Interesting. Thank you
Well he really is the musical alchemist in the band with his almost magical approach to creating. What he does with a guitar and on canvas is pure artistry (The Artist) and he’s also been a pilot, a chef, a golf pro etc. this is a tough one.

I can see slitting the plastic to get at the LP but, unless it was absolutely necessary, I would not have removed the plastic just to chuck it. The package was whole, complete, up to the point when the plastic wrapper was discarded. I, too, tend to be obsessive in my collecting so I know the feeling but here's a point to ponder: when you go out and buy yourself a brand new car, you pay the price agreed to as it is shown on the purchase agreement. Now everything is done and you own that car, which you then drive off the lot. Once the rubber hits the road you are now driving a used car. Should you for whatever reason change your mind, you can immediately go back to the dealership and sell the vehicle back to them (ignoring the law here) but, as the car is now used, don't expect to get all your money back. When you drove off the lot, the value of the car depreciated by about a third. "Unfair! I only drove for half a block!" True, but the devil is in the details...
Discarding the shrink-wrap lowered the value of your collectable LP. Ideally, buy a second copy but don't slit it, just save it.
True. Very true. I was willing to open My Favourite Headache because I wanted to share the entire album, inside and out. The vast majority of my Rush vinyl collection is open, save for a couple. I've played most of them because I wanted to experience Rush albums on vinyl. I wasn't disappointed. Way back when I discovered Rush, my first was 2112, but I had to experience it on cassette.
Fast forward past CDs; now, when I listen to the analog vinyl of 2112, it blows my mind!
I collect these for myself. I have no intention of selling them, and on my deathbed, I'll give my entire Rush collection to the most interested and worthy of my kids.
I have a Star Wars framed Trilogy poster signed by Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and Carrie Fisher. It's worth a lot to a collector, but like my Rush Collection, it's priceless, and I want to fully enjoy using it while I'm still walking the face of the Earth. 🙂
Thank you very much for being here, eric

Geddy is so normal and so abnormal, there is no way to contextualize anything about him or what he does. My fav rock star because he's just Geddy and it must be strange to be Geddy, to look like Geddy and sound like Geddy and behave as if it is all normal! 😅😅😅
Hey Mark! What an astute observation you've made about Geddy. As I was reading this, I wondered if I was the only one who also feels this way.
Often my natural nerdy and geeky tendencies lead my family to look at me with perplexed stares.
Do any of you feel misunderstood, alone in a crowd, and looked at like an alien visiting from another star system?
I often do, and if you share this, even sometimes, there's a reason we've found each other through this masquerade.
eric
Very cool nicely put together
Where did the eclipse of like the animated stuff in the movie like acting parts come from?
I don't own any DVDs or anything like that I only own just all their CDs now
If you're taking about the animated stuff of Geddy in the beginning, this is from his TV show on Paramount Plus. If not, let me know and I'll share more. Thanks, eric
@TheLoudboyExperience yeah that was one of them right there.
And then there was the one where he was like an ice cream man driving the van and those other kinds of things there

Does anyone know what type of bridge is on Geds Bass?
Anyone? 🙂
@@TheLoudboyExperiencewhich bass? he's used badass bridges a ton for many years but I'm absolutely no expert, just a fan
Geddy's bass, Alex axe, Neil's drums... What bridges, pickups, amps, heads, etc Rush uses, might be great fodder for our upcoming Rush Livestream show.
I'll have more news about this shortly.

⚾ Yes, Ged loves his baseball.

1:}21:12😉
🙂 This isn't the only one. I never set out to get 2112 for the video time. But on a few occasions, the edit has organically gotten close, and that's when I cut enough to make it happen.
Thanks for being here, eric
Lousy voice, great bassist
Geddy's voice is definitely an acquired taste. I can't imagine any other singer filling the vocal role that he created. Rush with Geddy, is the only RUSH. Thanks, eric
So much 'tribute' guff going around. The band is over, fanboys, best get used to it. And great as they were back in the day, those last couple albums were anything but great, they should have stopped recording after the mighty 'Vapor Trails'.
Dude, this video isn't for you. No need to be a prick. Just pass it by...
@@GeneJohnson-y2l You are the one throwing out rude names. After I acknowledged they were great in their heyday. But no, any word of criticism at all is blasphemy apparently.. 🙄
Jeff, there has to be better things in your world to complain about. What is to be gained by pissing all over this wonderful tribute? Let the people have their fun.
Never got around to listening to their last albums in any kind of depth. Thank you for sparkling the flame
@@markhamilton8765 Well for example energy could be spent uncovering many brilliant bands which people know little to nothing about, rather than spent on endlessly thumbing the well-worn back pages of an already very famous and now defunct band.
