I am a 75 Year old man who has quit caffeine for the last 2 weeks. I have been watching videos to motivate me To stay in line. I have to say that you're a very articulate speaker and help me quite a bit. Thank you.
Awesome! I tried telling my dad to try and quit caffeine with me and he won’t do it. I wish he would, I am 6 days without it, I am not sleeping good yet because of my job, however I will have a job with normal hours in a month so I should be back to better sleep.
25 Days no caffeine (81 days no alcohol). I could first not understand why sleep did not improve. Tonight I slept without my phone, and I slept like a baby. It is time to also beat that phone addiction 😊
INdeed. I watch people on the train...looking at their phone every 2 minutes. Saw a couple in Florence having a romantic meal... not looking at each other once, or even their meal carefully created for them with love.
Yeah, there's something about phone time. I always read at bedtime but I've learned to put down the ebook at bedtime and switch to paper or even audio.
Caffeine temporary suppresses metabolism which bounces back very fast due to lots of stress due to cortisol which makes you stress eat later on, this pattern increases belly fat.
I've been addicted since I was 17 and I'm now 28. I definitely am tired of it controlling me. I am on day 3 without coffee and will continue with out it, cut out all caffeine and I am so happy I did.
I’ve quit maybe ten times and always fall back. I’m one month n this time, cut from 3/4 strong coffees a day to one green tea. I plan on quitting that tomorrow, however I’ve never got past the point of always wanting it. I gave up smoking ten years ago and can take or leave it, but caffeine, one coffee and I’m craving it again the next day. It’s much more addictive to me that smoking was.
the matcha and other caffeine here and there its very slippery man ive quitted too and then do that too but the here and there caffeine start into every week then every day haha before you know it youre addicted again
This is very true. The reality is that once we’re addicted, we’re addicted forever. When we stop, we have control of it for a period of time, but you have to choose not to drink it every day, just like alcohol or any other addiction.
zero caffeine for 4 months...today! Are things different? I am not sure, and I drank coffee all day...3 pots a day. You would think I would notice a change.🤔
Two things - 1. Are you sure you are on zero caffeine? Decaf doesn’t count as zero caf. If you eat chocolate you are not at zero. I presume you are not drinking ANY cola, Mountain Dew, Ice tea drinks, hot chocolate, etc. No energy drinks nor any Pre-workouts. No black or green tea, including matcha. The benefits really start when you are at absolute zero caffeine, every day. Otherwise you are only at the stage of “managing” your addiction with occasional doses of caffeine. 2. I am suspecting that it’s not true that resetting the body from years of caffeine intake only takes a few days or weeks. I am about two months in, and my migraines and hunger pangs are gone (that alone has made it all worth it!!!!), but I still get mild headaches when I shouldn’t. My sense that life is one long uphill battle is mostly gone, but I still get bouts of sadness or mild depression - when in fact my life is objectively absolutely fine and full of promise and joy, but my mind (i.e. my lack of caffeine?) just pulls me down anyway. And I believe what is really happening is that my addiction is just trying to lure me back into getting new caffeine kicks again... Last words: Stick with it, you are doing your body a huge favor by staying clean of all types of caffeine, and rediscovering your natural rhythm of activity vs. rest. And don’t mind that you are not magically feeling much better. Your quality of sleep has probably improved without you knowing it. Your brain is probably getting a proper flow of blood without you realizing it. The decalcification of your bones has perhaps stopped thanks to you stopping your addiction. The list of “silent” benefits goes on! Best of luck!

Great benefits! You’ll feel fine without it soon enough
Agree. Day 7
drink a mix of coffee and herbal coffee (Teeccino) so you can have that ritual and the aroma without all the addiction and side effects
Are you still caffeine free?

It’s what you don’t see inside your body :)
wow I thought I drank alot! about 72 oz a day...Im on day 3 and I already feel much more calm
Some ppl are just less sensitive to it..
But anyway many ppl say they had to cross the 18 months to actually feel completely normal so it worth trying

i wish you would 'wrap it up' it a moment.. instead of dragging it out for 15 minutes
