First, pats and scratches to Dexter; love the rings on his tail. He is such good company in the yard! Love the shed; definitely a keeper. Love the way an old shed can make us dream. All your projects are beautiful as is your home and setting! Thanks for bringing us along as you change, maintain, and dream of new projects. 😺
That pop oh white with the daisies was just what you needed. So nice.i can’t believe all the hard work you do, meaning all the heavy digging and lifting. You are amazing.
Thank you for all your videos! I've learned so much as I'm a beginner here!! So far I've started a container garden that keeps growing. Thanks to your inspiring videos, I'll be preparing my landscape all year long and moving towards more advanced projects as I learn and grow my new found hobby! Thank you kindly!
Wow it warms my heart to see so much positivity in the comment section! ❤️ these are my favorite videos! I get to live vicariously through you in the garden! This makes me want to purchase a home so I can garden all the time. For now I'll have to stick to my container gardening 🌵🌱🍃🌻🌼🌸🌺
i really love the editing choice you make when you do something such as planting the annuals where its silent except the sound effects your hands are making. its really nice
I want to say that I needed a hobby this summer to stay outside, and I'm so glad I chose gardening! It's enjoyable and has taught me how to get my hands dirty. I needed an inspiration and Laura you are my favorite! I enjoy watching your videos and getting ideas of my own. I will be doing a video of my garden soon and maybe you'll watch!
Even getting information about how to patch a spot in the lawn is so helpful. Love the information on the mulch as well. As a novice, I no nothing about the differences. G & B it is! I have a cat too that would love to play in the mulch so putting the light cover on until its starts to grow is a great idea. Thanks for sharing your knowledge! prrrrrr
I would definitely use the tool shed for a kids play house, great space for friends kids and nieces and nephews to play during a get together at the house or future kiddos it could be used for a kids tool shed. I just love the look of that little shed and whatever you do with it will be awesome
I absolutely love these types of videos. Beautiful porch containers, obsessed with the artemisia. That, lamb's ear, and dusty miller are some of my faves right now. And I definitely think all your ideas for turning your tool shed into a chicken coop with the fence and such would be so perfect. Thanks for the inspiration!
You can make it into a little play house for your niece! If you add another window it would make it brighter and you can make it into a fairy gardend inspired area (because she likes fairy gardens).
Oh my gosh you are going to LOVE Gardner's Supply! My brother-in-law lives just outside Burlington. Whenever we go to visit I always ask him to take me there! It's the best!
The plant you couldn't remember the name of at 12:33 or so on the video is called Fire Spinner Delosperma. I absolutely love it, it is tough as nails and blooms non stop all through the heat of summer for me. I also love its fuchsia counterpart Table Mountain as well.
Pamela Groppe thank you so much for telling us what that is:) It is beautiful!!! I searched the comments to see if anyone knew... I will be on the hunt for it💜
Loving these longer vlog style videos! Keep'em coming!!💕 I'm curious to see how your wicker planters with the "Let's Dance Diva" Hydrangeas are doing this season. You had them where you planted your new pots on the porch. Hydrangeas are my absolute favorite flower & have been since I was a small child playing in my grandmother yard. I'm so glad to see that they're making more of a comeback. 👍🏼
Love the video. Your first containers are giving me inspiration for a couple containers were potting up for a backyard wedding in July, it should be so pretty! i also loved watching the last part of your video. Removing brick & reseeding may seem like a mundane project not worth filming but i like seeing how you do things. i never would have thought to pack in some compost so the grass stays level. Thanks for sharing, I'm excited for another garden tour!
cottage garden definitely, binge watching your videos from few days. You are amazing. I have one and a half feet balcony space, have tiny garden, mostly succulents
one of my new favorite videos....I didnt want it to end!! you are such a breath of fresh air and so knowledgeable with nature plants! Love Love Love it all!! :-) Thanks for sharing what you know and do with us!
Your gardens get more and more beautiful with each season!! Oh Laura! You must make a lavender bottle!! So lucky you have a hedge of it growing! Will try the Odessa 🌷 tulips 🌷 they are so lovely!!! How do you like amaryllis? I love them and I just know you'll love the apple blossom - a sweet pink gorgeous bloom. Check it out! Maybe you can come up with your own variety. They're easy to cross pollinate with other varieties.
My thoughts are, I wish I could be your neighbor and get all your left overs and teach me all you know. I have bought so many things from Proven Winners this year and I can't stop.
explain CauseIdontGetIT 🌷🌻🌷🍁I grew up, with a grandfather that grew endless tomatoes, and hydrangeas, and many other PLANTS that I don't remember the NAME'S of! 🌷🌻🌷I WAS WAY TO LITTLE! ANYWAYS NATURE ALWAYS MAKES ME HAPPY, AND GARDENS ARE SUCH A STRESS RELEAVER, AND I REALLY NEED IT, HAVING THYROID DISEASE!🌷🌻🌷🌻🌷🌻🌷🌻🌷🌻🌷🌻🌷🌻🌞
Hello, Lovely video as usual. Just a thought or an idea to share about your tool shed. Your dream about a picket fence with a little cottage garden with a bench sounds awesome for that lovely little space and the shed could be a small little garden museum or a garden library to stack and display books on gardens and gardening !! Happy Gardening !!
I would put a sweet little herb garden in front of the shed..like a nice big bush of rosemary and of thyme, maybe some more lavender. The picket fence is a cute idea as well. BUT also, love the idea of a chicken coop. Herb garden / chicken coop? Love these videos!
Really enjoy your videos. You are always so inspiring and upbeat. Thanks for taking the time to share all of your knowledge and positive energy. Have a great day!
Laura, if you want to get rid of ants without chemicals, get cornmeal and sprinkle it around the anthills. The ants will carry it into the hill and feed others, as well as the queen. Cornmeal is indigestable for the ants. I just love all of all of the flowers Laura. So beautiful. I think the one flower in the center bed with no irrigation is a moss rose? If you use that little shed for chickens you'll need to be sure to get air circulation in that.
Love your videos, does Dexter know how many fans he has? Yes to the chickens, my niece has chickens so I get the benefit of their good for you eggs. I could watch a video of you watering all your plants 😊
Your garden is coming along very nicely. I am absolutely in love with the Quicksilver Artemisia, and I am devastated because I cannot find it anywhere! I am so envious, Laura; you get the best plants. Also, I noticed your prickly pear cactus had tons of flower buds on them. Have you seen them in bloom? What color are they? I have an opuntia "Baby Rita" (purple pads). They make the most beautiful specimens in tall terra cotta pots.
What about turning that little cool shed into a club house for Benjamin. You could still do some plants and maybe a water feature. I just had two boys and growing up they had some much fun in a club house out in the far back yard.
This would be my dream job.....I love flowers, plants, trees....,,I just planted another decorative bush and about 10-12 pots, and hubby planted a bunch of ground cover.......I love gardening.
I need to know how you have so much energy! You do so many things in just one day.... I would pull that cart of bricks 20 feet & take a 2 hour nap lol.
I would definitely keep that shed...I'm sure you will have an amazing idea of what to do with it. Also I love the pots by the balcony area door, they are perfect. I wonder if you should put a nice doormat in front of the doors to sort of anchor the lower part of that view, I think that would look beautiful.
First let me say how much I enjoy your channel. My question is I notice you don't use gloves when working in your garden. Anytime I try to do the smallest of chores without my gloves on, my hands get so dry that i will have to constantly put on lotion for a couple of days afterwards. Do you use a certain lotion or hand cream or have your hands just became used to it?
Lisa Austin i don't use them either. i find that my hands didn't like it in the beginning but they're fine now. best advice i myself can offer is when working with soil, work with it while its moist and use okeefs working hands.
Chicken coop would be so sweet and fresh eggs what's not to like ! Loved your plant choices in the tall black containers, very elegant and suits the house so well. Are they the self watering kind you had in a video before? That would cut down on your watering schedule a little. Thanks for sharing your project so looking forward to the May garden tour.
I love your garden!! There are so many beautiful spaces to just sit and enjoy! Your videos are great and always inspire me to try new things in my garden. The Artemisia is gorgeous!! I can't wait for your next garden tour.
Beautiful. Have you ever heard of cutting up sponges and mixiing with your dirt in the window boxes. It has helped me a great deal with my window box that is in the direct sun.
i love that xeriscape area! with the native/hardy plants and succulents my fav part of ur garden i think! too bad ur getting rid of the opuntia i think it looks really cool with the other plants in there and its in flower!
Hi! I love you purple tree on your back, doing great, I which I could live close to you and go to your event s but I moved to Costa Rica, I been learning a lot from yours videos, good job🌱🌵🍃🌺🍁
Loving Dexter. Seeing your using Proven Winner as in your first video I watched your makeover last year behind your shed with the purple plants with pink flower's You put all in front & said be out this yr big time. Oh yes & I'm loving them from Home Depot. Haven't been to their site yet. You do some gorgeous work. New here as of last yr started and did some great gardening with 1st tomatoes grew over porch , 3 hostas, herbs, so on. Getting fever bad for these Container Gardens
You should definitely turn it into a chicken coop! I live on a farm and have around 200 chickens all together, most of them I don't have for any purpose but to keep as pets! I absolutely LOVE your channel btw!!!
I love all your videos so much and everything is so beautiful! Thank you for sharing! Do you guys have mosquitoes? Any ideas to get rid of them? I love gardening too but I cant even stay outside more than a few minutes before they bite..
I'd make it into a playhouse, for any future children you may have...they can create their own gardens (fairy etc) in their own area. But a chicken coupe is cool too :)
For the shed, I think the repair of the threshold would have been the priority for me. I liked the stone entrance. If there was enough shade, I would have tried to plant moss between the stones. ❤
Those are beautiful. I love those silver grey looking leaves as well. It looks like you are just sticking in the pot not in the soil is that correct? I'm fixing to be working on 1st garden planters and such decisions to make. Loving your site.
hey i really love your channel! i was wondering if you could do a video in the future about planting seeds and transplanting seedlings? ive been trying to plant my own stuff and there's really not many videos like that on youtube, most of them are years old and bad quality. one specifically im trying to grow are sweet peas - if you could do a video on planting those or something that would beee sooo helpful
Would love to see you go back through some of the old videos like this and compare them to what they’ve turned into now vs what your ideas were then!
First, pats and scratches to Dexter; love the rings on his tail. He is such good company in the yard! Love the shed; definitely a keeper. Love the way an old shed can make us dream. You couldn't do a bad looking pot if you tried! I love everything you do! Your hair is especially pretty today!
Those containers are so pretty around the door. I like the simple white and green. Love your videos.
Waiting on today's video so I decided to watch this one. Pre -Bio Tone days ! What a difference you have made in just three years!
I'm a 15 y/o gardener and you inspire me , please don't stop making videos I really enjoy them 🍃. !!!
You can make it into a little play house for your niece! If you add another window it would make it brighter and you can make it into a fairy gardend inspired area (because she likes fairy gardens).
That was my thought as well !!!
each time i see your old videos with dexter in it, I feel sad knowing that he is no more! what a sweet cat he was...
I just love watching your videos! You’re so refreshing!
🐾Wonder how well Dex and the chicks will get long... he's the king of the garden! Wish to hear him purrr🐾
I love everything you do. Your place is dreamy. You definitely need some chicken! Bantams would be an adorable addition to your environment! Hugs!

I love the bench idea with an herb garden outside...then the shed could be used as a place to dry the herbs since it gets so hot...?
Really enjoy your videos. You are always so inspiring and upbeat. Thanks for taking the time to share all of your knowledge and positive energy. Have a great day!

Chicken Coop is a MUST for the Tool Shed!!!!!

Thanks for the shout out on the G&B planting compost! Yay!

...dream chicken-coop for existing "tool shed" would be awesome!.
Felicidades su jardín muy hermoso
I think for the shed you should make a chicken coop. They are fun and you get some nice wonderful eggs.
It would be an awesome club house for your son when he's older
Japanese maple is looking good
I'd make it into a playhouse, for any future children you may have...they can create their own gardens (fairy etc) in their own area. But a chicken coupe is cool too :)
Love these videos!!!!
I was wondering if you can do a video on planting roses and seeds
You have dirt on your face...😄a true gardener. Love, love daisys. Thanks for sharing.
For the shed, I think the repair of the threshold would have been the priority for me. I liked the stone entrance. If there was enough shade, I would have tried to plant moss between the stones. ❤

We use to have ant issues but I spray straight lemon juice worked well for me
