@HB Estremos, is there really a need for them to make an effort to choose? Although I must admit that I’m not quite sure if a grown up like me can still be legally adopted. But just in case it is possible, then that means I have spared them from all the headaches of taking care of me as their child, from infant ‘till my teenage years. That also indicates that they saved a lot of food money, toys and tuition fees. haha 😆 Truth of the matter is, since I’m already capable of working, my heart goes to supporting my new family, financially too. This is definitely one of my favourite performances of KZ in Singer 2018! Btw, I think she was singing and rapping in Mandarin and not Cantonese (but you're dad's right, Cantonese is def more difficult to learn than Mandarin and Mandarin is already considered to be a difficult language to learn even among the Chinese themselves!). Either way, it's still very difficult to be singing AND rapping in another language you don't speak and then keep switching back and forth to English. This only goes to show how extremely talented and versatile KZ is as a singer and performer!

Mandarin uses 4 possible tones for each word/character but Cantonese uses 9 tones. With each word having completely different meanings, so you can say the word "ma" it could mean your mother or horse depending on which tone you say it
I agree. She was singing Mandarin here. But cantonese is way harder having even more tones than Mandarin.

This is my favorite performance of KZ from the Singer 2018. I think she performed this when she was voted out of the show, but you can see how she was loved by the audience and the other contestants.
