"I tried to walk past the pub, but the dog wouldn't let me." Sounds like a line, doesn't it? A weak excuse. In my case, it's nothing less than the truth. My beloved Lyttelton can't walk past the entrance of my local pub, the Old Spot, without cornering and going in.
