A very unique footpath / pedestrian level crossing at Warnham station, near Horsham, West Sussex. This crossing use to be a public highway manually gated crossing, which was opened on request during peak hours but closed on weekends. It became disused in the early 2000s, and later converted to its current state, a footpath crossing. The footpath crossing still retains very rare halogen miniature warning lights, which I believe is possibly the only set on the mainline (some are still in existence on heritage railways). There are also two alarms on each side, and telephones provided. The station sees two train services an hour, and trains do not run after 7pm on weekends.

Great Video and footpath Crossing!!😁👍🏻 I’ve got to say that those lights are really cool!!👍🏻
Other footpath crossings: so we have a yodalarm and round lights
This crossing: S q u a r e .
I'm pretty sure this is the only mainline crossing in the UK that has these designs of lights, so they are quite unique
Good video
Thanks 😎
Great video and crossing! Love the halogen miniature lights!
Thanks! 😎 Likely the only ones on mainline UK railways 👌
Great video and crossing! Love those halogen MWLs! Also, it appears they have two bulbs in the lights so one will stay lit incase the other fails.
Thanks! Yeah, I did notice that. Funny how the lights are rectangular and long here. Very interesting 😎
Its my favorite
😎
Great video
Thanks! 👍
Awesome! 👍😎
Great to see that this crossing retains halogens MWLs!
Thanks Will 👍 Indeed it is 😁
Nice crossing!
👍👍
377707, one of the bi-mode variants of the 377 that used to run the East Croydon to Milton Keynes services for Southern. Nice catch
Thanks 👍
nice video bro
Thank you! 👍
Nice video
Thanks! ☺️
Pity we didn’t get to film this when we were in the West Sussex area in March, nice looking Crossing, those halogens take a while to fade out. Also was that your dad filming on the other side?
Yeah, definitely a very interesting foot crossing. You'll have to pop down to the south-east to refilm some more crossings. And yeah, my dad was with me all day when I went to West Sussex.
Agreed
the lights are now...
SQUARE
Omg! Thought those were all removed
Haha no they haven't 😁 Still here and working 👌
Supherb as usual! I quite like the look of this one, especially with the rare old MWL lights that are halogen - I don't think I've ever seen lights like that before! Your new S10's camera is amazing, especially in 60fps! Stunning video quality! 👍👍👍
Thanks! Yeah, definitely very unique. Glad I got it in the end 👍 Very pleased with my S10 😁
Have you ever been to any footpath crossings in the North of England?
No, I've not really travelled to the North of England 🤔
Interesting crossing, but appalling visibility made worse by all the warning signs, fencing, and posts. Quite cluttered.
Well it use to be a manual gated crossing once, but has since been downgraded to pedestrians only. The gates have been removed but part of the old crossing has been left, hence it looks a bit weird.
RUclipsr in level crossing
