Greetings from Wellington NZ,,,from retired Tour Coach Driver...enjoyed the journey Thank you
I used to drive this route back in the early 90’s when I worked for Eastern Scottish (SMT). My favourite bus was a Van Hool that was powerful and had an eight speed manual transmission. The route was simpler back then, you’d exit the M8 onto Cathedral St. Sometimes the route would carry onto the airport or Gourock. Brought back a lot of great memories watching this, thanks.
Great training videos for hazard perception tests. Thanks.
I thoroughly enjoyed that journey. Brought back memories. I live in NSW country, Australia.
I lived in Edinburgh for 2 years in the early 60s. "riding" the bus brought back a lot of memories. Thanks for the posting !
Thank you.
When I see these bus videos they always remind me of The Big Bus, a movie from the 70's or 80's ... they had a bowling alley on the bus 🤣
Good quality. I normally get the train so it's nice to see what I'm missing (apart from 35 minutes of my life).
when I road a double decker bus for the very first time and sat on the upper deck really didnt matter where on the upper deck i sat but whenever the bus went into a turn, it almost always felt like it was actually going to tip over, very strange feeling.....lol....
Loved this!
Great video thanks for posting
Watching on 2x speed .so good
Good fun, especially on the bends/corners. 🐨🇦🇺
Hello & Good Morning 🖐️🙂Great Video👍
I remember long, long ago - when the only service was via the A8. Those were the days.
Loved the ride, very enjoyable. except the roads until the bus reaches The Marriott at Maybury -- Gogarburn/A8 from the depot was kind of disastrous lol . Thanks for sharing.
Thank you.
Edinburgh’s roads are an utter disgrace! Been up better farm roads 🚜. CoEDC spent all their Transport Budget on an unnecessary tram 🚋🚋🚋🚋 that goes somewhere to nowhere 🙁. Why so many Edinburgh residents drive big Chelsea Tractors 🚙!
Nice been on the 900 loads of times but not on these Plaxton Panorama Volvos yet the interior looks amazing
Were you on those Plaxton Elite bodied Volvo B11RTs as they are previously for 900 before replaced by Panoramas.
@@EurasiaTransportExplorer yup occasionally they used parks branded coaches too
We’ve got those clips from Elites as well. But we prefer Panoramas more as they are spacious and powerful.
Very enjoyable once the noise stopped at 20:50 which i assume was the aircon?
princes street road surface looks shocking
Very nice..great quality footage! Which camera did you use?
OBRIGADO PELA CARONA. ESTOU NO BRASIL.
50:49 An advert for a theme park near Southampton?
It would be great if you could please state what make and model of camera or Smartphone you used.
Shocked by the stop of Harthill Services! How much rubbish!
@Eurasia_Transport_Explorer : FYI at 31:00min “Next Top: Station Road” flashes up. Should read “Next Stop: RATHO Station Road”. See ‘Ratho Station’ road sign at 32:09min for confirmation. May wish to edit this into your otherwise excellent video 🙂.
Sorry, that's not right. The village is called Ratho Station but the road is called just Station Road as Google StreetView will confirm. I really must get out more.
is that sound at beginng is that part of the bus
First time watching your RUclips. How much was it on the bus
It seems ETE does not answer viewers question 🙁.
What did you use to film it?
Unfortunately, ETE does not seem to answer viewers questions 👎.
and not one vehicle passed whilst it sat waiting to get out of edinburgh bus station !!
Elder Street is a short dead so this is hardly surprising. Lights are needed mostly for pedestrians.
Hi 900
The bus lanes out of the West End of Edinburgh are a complete waste of road space. No buses using them because of parked cars/taxis/vans. No bus priorities at junctions.
I'm believing in God, riding on Megabus.
Plaxton are incapable of making busses that don't rattle continuously
Blame the atrocious condition of both Edinburgh and Glasgow’s roads before blaming the bus 🚎. Both councils are guilty of spending money on shiny new unnecessary pet projects rather than getting on and fixing the roads, a lot of which can be blamed on the Utilities for not properly reinstating the road’s surface correctly!
@@adriancarter2863 the first day out in these busses they rattled, interior is made by Alexander denis witch means cheap as possible
lets me see how i will travel once this pandemic clears.
The bus route every driver hates. Edinburghs traffic system is a disaster and so is the M8 in rush hour of a normal day.
Was it not held on red light
Don't the drivers do other routes
would have been better without that stupid blower
