  • From fishing net to certified ceiling spotlight.
The first 100% recycled LED recessed luminaire housing made of Ocean Plastic by Brumberg sets new standards for sustainable lighting solutions on the European market.
With LOOP®, Brumberg wants to set an initial example. According to an estimate, 4.8 to 12.7 million tonnes of plastic waste end up in the sea every year - that's equivalent to about one lorry load every minute. The discarded and collected fishing nets on the beaches and coasts are cleaned, sorted, shredded and processed into recycled polymer Akulon®. This is used to make the LOOP® light, which can be recycled in all parts and the packaging is also environmentally friendly thanks to plastic-free materials.
    re:think. re:spect. re:cycle. re:use.
The recycled recessed ceiling spotlight by Brumberg will initially be available in two versions:
Luminaire housing. It offers maximum scope for flexibility. Depending on the lighting requirements, there is a choice between more than 30 different LED modules with a wide variety of technologies by Brumberg. We also offer the matching converters.
LOOP® set. This consists of the Ocean-Plastic housing, a phase dimmer, converter and a 5W LED module with 3,000 K. The recessed ceiling luminaire is available in a variety of versions.
The LOOP® recessed ceiling spotlight is expected to be available from May 2023.
