Ya'll keep saying 80's but they definitely still played music like this in the 90s. I even remember going to places in the early 2000's & they'd play stuff like this.
Music doesn't just die when a new decade rolls through. There are places you can still hear Glenn Miller, but that doesn't mean the man's still popular. That being said, this is late 80s and early 90s. It was the transition period from those synth sounds to the jazzy sounds that eventually transitioned into smooth jazz and R&B. It's still got the synth sound with the tinny brass of the 80s.
It was the end at exactly 2000s. After that, things (for me anyways) changed a lot. Music changed... life changed tv wasnt as good anymore. But... some good came out of the start of the 21st century.
I was taking care of me sick parents when they had the flu a couple months ago and I put this playlist on. Nothing else was helping them relax so I put this on and the first thing they thought was that they were back in the 80s when they were children. It had this surreal and nostalgic feel for them that took them back. The best part is it got them relaxed enough for me to relax. I couldn't be happier for these playlists and now I've got me parents stuck on them to. What an awesome thing to have in our otherwise stressful lives.

I remember traveling to arizona in 1994 with my nephew Eric and brother Timothy to goto a comic book convention, the pool in the hotel was accidentally turned up to 90 degrees and we roasted! it was like a jacuzzi. The drive there was probably the best part. 2 hours of listening to radio jams in my ford explorer. I was a terrible driver though!
so my drunk ass, decided "lol imma stop listening to vaporwave singles and find a different genre of music to listen to" saw this video in my suggestions, went AWWWW YEAH DAS THE GOOD STUFF, and then 50 min I realized I was listening to vaporwave again XD
Love this genre of music helps as my mom passed away and dealing with those in my family their grieving and I tell them I’d rather have my mom in heaven and not suffering here on earth.. dealing with their grief is stressful I understand those grieve differently yes but when you have them lean on you it can be emotionally draining too.. so this music is amazing ♥️ thank you for making my evening Amazing
I love that Don Aaron Transquil Lisa track, but I hate how the end of the tracks drags on at 4:13 to this wonky noise. Either way, the pool series is one of the best on this channel 😎
Same! I wish I had maybe cut that part of it when making the mix but it slipped my mind. However on my “NOW that’s what I call vaporwave” mix I have all my favorite tracks from 2021 and that one is on there and I also cropped the choppy ending of it too 👍 Go check it out!
If only i could go back in time of having the feeling this first track gives you all of the time... no responsibilities, no bills, and keeping fueled off of the simple pleasures in life and oh yeah politics non existent.
I use iMovie because it's the easiest for me to put together and export. I did use to use Premiere Pro and I want to transition back to doing that again. I think in the future I want to create a course of videos that walks through my process of creating these mixes and managing a youtube channel. Thanks for watching these mixes fam!
