I get so many questions on HOW TO STYLE OR WEAR a Blanket Scarf so I finally put all my go-to ways in a video.
Altogether there are 15 versions and each one is super wearable.
The skirts all come together with safety pins but everything is else is just wrapping and some knotting.

Love these ideas! I'm plus size so the skirt and dress wouldn't work for me but I'm definitely going to try the others. I would love to see you style some outfits on plus size women this year!
For plus size like me, i just make the dress without the belt. Try it, it works really well.

I think you just helped me figure out how to pack some beautiful options for my overseas vacation in July! I can add 4 or 5 scarves to my carry on luggage to save storage for shoes in my checked bag😂🤣! Great reminder about the versatility of blanket scarves! Since it will be summer.... Oh I have an ancient black and white challis that looks like a bandana....will be adding it to my vacation packing. Layering tons of black and white on the plane and a very small carry on. I am loving that grey scarf she's demonstrating though.

When I was a kid my sisters and I would make swim cover-ups with beach towels the same way that you made your dress. I love the blanket scarf ideas.

All depends on scarf motif..if it’s squares like this Ofcourse,cos kilts are made of wool like that.but there are wool scarves with flowers,Turkish style motif,plain colour

well this was supper awesome. i just got a square scarf for the holidays an now i need a rectangle one for the skirt an dress looks. im gonna try a way to wrap around the waist and back over one shoulder to make a drape over the back and secure with a brooch for a kilt-ish look. mostly to hide some holiday food gather at the waist til its gone. they have these on amazon for about the same cost as dept store too. thats where i got mine. and lots of patterns with the two sizes too. now im gonna bust out grandmas brooches an use some belts that i have forgotten. thanks orly!!!!! this is totally the best new accessory trend for the year. it looks snazzy over the clothes too. im in ct so totally like it for warmer trendy looks! (and yep i can see this with some sheer matterials in the summer for bbqs and pool parties that go into evenings.

I'd love to try some of these but I put my blanket scarf down on a chair a couple of days ago and my cat snuggled into it and made it his own, and I haven't the heart to take it back.
I am a sucker for when accessories match in colour w/ an item of the outfit aka the belt w/ the sweater. Love it. I probably would have looped the belt on the side since it is rather long, but thats just me... And smt the easiest ways of styling are the best.
Little did you know what 2020 would bring. thank you for the blanket scarf show. Being that I am only 4.11 I like the dress and short skirt versions. long version works for the beach or swim party. thank you

Loved this video. Especially the skirts. I bought some classic red & black wool tartan fabric recently. So i will try these out. I would also recommend getting some kilt safety pins. You can have them like a brooch and they do a great job.
I got the most beautifully hand embroidered mustard yellow large piece of fabric from goodwill. I was dying to wear it as a skirt . . . Without cutting it. Thank you. Helped me out so i could do this!

Your trick at 5:16 will help so many people! I used to think that I was too short and squat for blanket scarfs because of this right here! Whenever I tried them on before, I didn't twist it. I just tried your trick with an actual throw blanket; it's pretty bulky and I actually like the way it looks!

For safety pins look for quilting pins. They a typically heavy duty.

I always like to see different ideas for wearing scarves, wraps, etc.
When I was a little girl, I had a plaid skirt that came with a gold decorative “safety pin”. It was meant to be worn on the outside of the skirt.
oh yes! they have really big oversized ones that look awesome on the outside. I usually hide the functional ones on the inside and then cover them with something cooler
