wtf, this is basically sterno level speed for court cases.
we gonna need you to drop a guide / tips & tricks to reach 200-300 wpm consistently please 🙏
There are enough "get good fast" videos out there that suck.
I'd say practice 'rolling' individual words and focus on the 'shape' of the keys rolled for each word. When most people type, they focus on the key positions of segments of the word or individual characters, or maintaining a consistent rhythm that speeds up with wpm. Assuming you can type around 120-140 wpm and have a good understanding of the keyboard, you have to trial and error practice a ton to learn how it feels to roll specific words or common key combinations/patterns, learn to roll a spacebar between word rolls to 'merge' the rolls, and have a naturally very fast reading speed and very good ability to focus. It's not very rhythmic; 4-letter words should sound and feel like a horse galloping, and typing this fast consistently feels very fluid and wavelike. This is the best way I can explain it; typing 200+ wpm needs you to start conceptualizing typing differently than you did before you typed 200+ wpm. Most people probably don't have the ability to learn this well, but enough practice can get you there if you understand what you're doing. Know that it's easier to do this for sites like monkeytype, as the word pool is completely predictable and limited. Don't follow standard touch typing finger placements to a tee: use your own finger placements for words that would otherwise be difficult to type in a swift rolling motion. e.g. I type 'sw' with my middle finger then ring finger instead of tapping my ring finger twice on those keys. Bigrams like 'un,' 'ce,' 'de,' etc. will slow your speed down significantly if you use one finger, but for some similar pairs you can just slide your finger over two keys quickly like 'ik' or 'ed.' Move your finger positions to where it should be for the next press asap, resting on the next key instantly after a key is pressed. Also try to have your fingers touching the keys (just resting on the surface of keys, not pressing them) almost always. Minimizing distance means minimizing time to press
@@sodavalve4829 I don't quite understand what rolling is. Can you explain more efficiently, and how you can learn it?
@@TheSpacePlaceYT It's hard to explain specifically, especially because it's not standard or anything, it's just how I was able to interpret typing very fast better for myself. You just need to know how to get a feel for typing a word very fast to the point where words seem less like strung together characters. It's closer to mashing all the characters of a words at once but with very slight differences in timing and best choice of finger placement for yourself. It reminds me of things like rolling your tongue, a horse galloping, moving your fingernail across a jagged surface, etc. Practice your technique with common n-grams, especially those that require a lot of finger movement with home row placement, use those motions to practice short words, practice stringing words together with space, and continue practicing including longer words. I recommend just experimenting with single words or n-grams in a text editor, then make your own practice texts with 10fastfingers. Come up with your own techniques and finger placements that work best for you. If something isn't making you progress, try something new. It's all experimenting to find optimum and muscle memory through a lot of practice
All these typing tips are worthless. Just consistently practice touch typing and that should be enough.
For example, you can try practicing 20 minutes a day. The rest depends on you. Everybody's brain is different compared to others'; you will develop your own typing practice tips to improve yourself when you practice enough.

I notice your world records tend to come in batches. For typing improvement, is optimal to take breaks?
sometimes you just have good days
Taking breaks is important for sure. Personal bests tend to come after a period of inactivity.
The adrenaline after missing in the middle to get your speed back up 😂
i will never forget the keyboard u had that was like all white on the keys because it was an ABS keycapped keyboard
You are so crazy man truly showing up all us oldies... we used to talk about whether these speeds were humanly possible

well his raw speed was 300
i cant even read ! bruh typesss !
GG! Do you realize that you are now closer to 300 than 250?
And I thought typing 121 WPM flawlessly was hard enough for me to do. GG!!
You are indeed the best
Hey man I am a 3 fingered typer (2 fingers + thumb for spacebar) and I average 100-120wpm, I want to reach a higher wpm like 150 or even 200 but I think it would be impossible with only 3 fingers, so I want to learn to use all fingers.
My question is what type of typing technique do you use? Is it homerow technique or something else? Thanks
yes he uses homerow technique.. you have to use all your fingers to type faster.
Only using a few finger holds back your potential by a lot
Share some tips bro
Can someone build this guy a keyboard please
How is he not sponsored by a keyboard company??
lol He keeps mistyping “against” twice, and used to struggle with this word too. So every time I type this word I just divide it into two parts, ag and ainst.

I used to download a hack for nitro type and I would let it type at 180 wpm and got banned for typing too fast, you should attempt using it and see what happens 😂
it didnt get banned for typing too fast, it got banned for being a bot lol, 180 wpm is great but nowhere near impossible

Hey Rocket, I'm a 13 year old and my highest wpm is 189, could we do a collab some day? I would really like that. I have been practicing for a few years and have been making videos similar to yours about typing. I know you'll probably never see this and even if you do you probably won't want to collab, but it was just an idea of mine. I hope you have a great rest of your day, bye Rocket.
what how did you do it mines just 25 as average
i don't think humans were meant to type fast. what you're seeing on display might be impressive, but few and far between can type that fast...277 is really impressive. his mind works so much faster than average. i bet if he really wanted, to his skills might be somewhere in video-gaming or say, drone-warfare...

How do you practice my guy? I've been stuck on 130wpm for ages now, with the occasional 170+ wpm. Whatever I do it seems like there is some kind of barrier holding me back. Any tips?
In my opinion there are 3 factors that play in how fast you can type
- reading. How fast can you accuratetly read and process those words in order to tyoe it
- typing mechanics. How fast can you type each word if you only focus on it.
- stamina
The second one could be wrong or poorly worded
@@Juguitosdemora there is a 4th factor: I type in Dutch. Some of those words man… they are so hard to type and slow your speed down dramatically. I’ve begun with prohibiting myself from using my pinky fingers while I type, but its almost ingrained in my muscle memory, it’s very hard to alter my typing technique. Any tips are welcome here
@@Juguitosdemora forgot about finger, hand size and genetics. this guy is like born for typing
@@Stormwiggers If you have to slow your speed down it means that either you can't read the word fast enough for your brain to know how to type it or you lack a bit of ability to type the word fast enough.
Although what I'm saying sounds simplistic and easy, it is not, it is like saying that playing piano is just reading the notes and knowing how to play them.
And in a sense typing is a very simple task that doesn't require deep analysis and knowledge of what you are doing (in this case typing) compared to other "Games", for example to play fast chest, you could also simplify in the same way I did to know what you should practice, but this categories are so broad for other "games" that it is of no use to try to understand it this way.
The same could be said about typing, and because there is a bit of variance between langagues and how different the "key combos" are the skills reading and typing mechanics are very different in a language like english, compared to your language dutch, you should try to comprehend more what other subskills or how could you categorize them, in your language just so you can focus better on what you are doing wrong and improve faster.
Edit: apologise for the poorly worded and brick of a text that I wrote, I did in one go and have no plan correcting it
@@Juguitosdemora should i practice singular words in the top 1000?

what font do u use in monkeytype?
How fast can you type the word "since"? For me, 430 wpm
oh and I can type "qwerty" in 1027 WPM
I don't see any reason why both words should have that much WPM difference since you can type all the letters with different fingers at once
I can type up to 3000 WPM on the word "power".

Monkey type isn’t it , it’s honestly like a game not real words if you use this app long enough you will see patterns. This is easy with constant practice
then go do it lol, lets see your name up on the 60s leaderboard at 277 or higher

you might have not realized that he uses other typing sites, prominently typeracer, where on real quotes he types around 230 wpm
yeah this is suuuper easy I’d like to see you get even 200 on here over 60 seconds
i need tutorial bro
Can you drop a video on how you learned to type so fast
practice and hard work and remeber he is typing full words in one click the one trick i picked from watching this video in slow motion is that
if he say want to type monkey he position his hand in such a way that all the letters m o n k e y are pressed at once simuntaneously
i picked the trick up practiced and i can type my name at more than 200 wpm
if the words come which he doesnt know the spelling of he will be much slower
so practice is the key here
its my opinion
What is the theme
mmm chicken
Any tying tips?
Congratulations, but I don't like that they only give you very simple words. When I went to Japan I had an average of about 110 wpm, but when I played an arcade typing game I got destroyed because none of what I typed made any sense to me. In a way it's disappointing that most of the words you have to type for this test are so simple, even when playing typeracer with real quotes from books the words are a lot more complex. I don't doubt you'd beat everyone in those but the number feels inflated because of it. Most of the words you're typing are short and easy like "all", "can", "will", "too", "new", etc.
I think these are just the top 200 most popular words used in English Language so that's why they're short. Obviously, if he used longer words it would still be really fast but slower than this time.
he's actually very good at typeracer. his recent averages have reached above 230 if I remember correctly.
Bro i love your typing...but can u please tell me what is you average speed when you type for comparatively longer period of time like let's say 30 minutes or even more than that??
