I used a T4 Torx bit - make sure to pull *all* screws before lifting the lid, and they appear to be different lengths - keep track!
Now, careful. I took T4 Torx and almost ruined one of those long tight screws. It's Torx T5H that should be used.

if the battery is dead (0.0V) but power supply to battery is OK - can the dead battery be the reason why laptop does not start up? power supply is Ok, no burned elements on motherboard.
