Hi! I just spent 8 days in Montenegro with a wonderful family who guided us from Dubrovnik, Croatia to the Albanian border. The food was amazing, the weather wonderful, and the seawater an absolute joy to swim in! My wife and I loved it and will go back again someday. We also went on an inner trip to a high mountain peak where there was a tomb and a restaurant to visit. The surrounding villages were peaceful and quiet. The people were always helpful, and I felt safe which is important to everyone I suspect. We also went to Paris and I did not come away with the same impression. Lyon, France, on the other hand, was better IMO. Peace and happiness to you both!😎🌺
Right now, while I'm quarantined here at my house for weeks and it will still be for quite some time, I am trying to deflate and plan a scooter trip to the Balkans, with the intention of spending most of the weather in Montenegro (probably in Kotor). A curiosity: how is Podgorica? I have not seen many photos since I am more interested in the coast, but the ones I have seen do not make it seem something particularly beautiful. I very much hope to be able to make this crazy trip (as I like to do) in Montenegro. Greetings from Sanremo, Liguria, Italy!
I was there in 1981 and in 1987. Had fried Calamari there for the first time in my life. They were quite nice! I remember a sign at the beach pointing towards the island. The sign said Hawaii. 😁
Budva is one of the best hidden secrets in Europe. Of course the experience in off season will be different compared to July and August. It is the new Ibiza/Party town. Budva has 35 beaches, so half day would not cut it. The New York Times called Budva the #1 must visit place in 2018, I am not the biggest fan of that because I like it the way it is and I think every year it is getting more popular. Last year was really busy, so we will see how it will be this year. Jadran is good, if you walk thru the restaurant, on the other end is the beer and bike bar that is rather popular. Same owner has a also a restaurant in Sveti Stefan that is rather good and Sveti Stefan area is spectacular. Point of my long post, come back in the summer, I show you around! Edit: I should mention that there is a cat museum in the old town of Kotor, one of the strangest museums I have ever been too,lol
Alex Rajcevic Ive been to montenegro stayed in becici for a week and I can confirm Jadran was a good ass restaurant, recomment the oysters and thr cat museum is worth the 5 euros haha, funny stuff
I love how food is such a priority for you guys! Just love that about you. Really enjoying your Montenegro videos. By the way, your interest in dogs and cats.. such an added bonus! I am a dog owner myself and I get so happy to see you petting and feeding the strays.. Really adorable!
Thank you very much! Food is a big reason we still enjoy traveling so much. Ah, we feel really fortunate to have these encounters with cats and dogs since we can't have one of our own at the moment.
Just wanted to thank you for your videos - My wife and I followed many of your recommendations for our tour around the Adriatic on our honeymoon 2 years ago! Also, thanks for replying to our questions.
Sam and audrey, really appreciating your video quality! I've mentioned it before as well but couldn't help it! You're doing such a wonderful job of describing as well as capturing such stunning views..
As im watching this video i'm also googling Budva, and since some of my neighbors visited Montenegro last year I now know why they were so amazed. This town seems to have some pretty darn awesome looking beaches outside of the town. And as I can see Jaz, Kamenovo, Sveti Stefan are totally awesome. Anyway great video guys.
You two are just fabulous!!!! I’m going to Kotor on 7th June, can’t wait, will try to visit Budvar. My cat Sweetie would love to meet you next time you’re in the UK!! 😻
When checking out places we are visiting through cruising I'm always surprised to see you have been there as well, your videos and information are excellent, I feel I know you both.
11:55 the singers name is KNEZ, he actually represented Montenegro in Eurovision 2015, has lots of beautiful and great songs and is very known in the Balkans. Listen to Knez -Adio!
Well, it's hard to really describe it. But you show the best places in town, those that might be the most attractive for tourist. But if you go about 1km from the beach it doesn't look nearly as good. And the deeper you go - the worse it gets.
I saw your vlog on rajasthani thali and I'm glad to say that you loved it. I think your passion is traveling and not earning. Great you both. God bless you. Tell me about what did you like about indian culture and people. Love from India.......
Budva looks like a beautiful place to visit, you filmed the area this nicely and the information you provide is very useful. Have a good weekend and safe travels wherever you are at the moment. Best Regards from Maxi and Maro.
That is actually really pretty. We are going in May but I wasn't really sure about it. We will only spend half a day there and then half the day in st. Stefan I believe it's called, and then off to Kotor. But it does actually look really beautiful.
Thanks! Oh, that is cool to hear. The weather should be lovely in May. A half a day is enough time to do everything we did. The Old Town is actually about as tiny as you can get but still fun to visit.
Samuel and Audrey - Travel and Food Videos That is great, your video's make me so excited 😅 I have watched a couple now. We are going to Dubrovnik, Split, Krka National Park, Trsteno, Mostar, the Vjetrenica cave, Budva and St. Stefan, Kotor, Brac island, Lokrum island and maybe a few tiny little islands and it is just so lovely seeing good quality video's about any of those places really, and the food is also very interesting. We did think that May would be perfect, not too hot but still warm and also still not in the main season so that will be great.
Samuel and Audrey - Travel and Food Videos That is great to hear. We will be only going for 2 weeks but I stuffed the whole trip with awesome activities. And the fact that GoT filmed in a few places makes it even better for me personally 😂 But I definitely can't wait. I heard it's supposed to be a out 22 degrees most of the time in May, that sounds absolutely lovely.
Half day is crazy, I go for 6 weeks, lol. Sveti Stefan it is called and such a stunning area. Only 20 minutes from Budva, it is actually still Budva. As you can not access the island, there is a nice little restaurant by the beach, go upstairs for the views. From there walk towards Milocer, which is the Beverly Hills of Budva thru the pine forest for amazing views. It is a quick 15 min walk, just sit down along the way and take it all in. There is a shuttle bus between Budva and Sveti Stefan that runs every 10 min, could be less in May, just ask the driver
Montenegro is a small state and they should respect all tourists all year round and not to keep premises opened when busy. I've watched this video as I am planning to go in October. I think I am going some place else.
Hey Guys, I see you did a similar trip to what I'll be doing in Feb/March. Since you were there in off season too, do you think it's worth staying in both Kotor and Budva? Or should I just base myself in Kotor and do a day trip to Budva?
BUDVAR - KOTOR - you can't make that kind of wardrobe up, Sam - that wardrobe would'a gone viral - would've slain, man.....you need to go back there and splash the cash, Sam.....asap.....:-)

No, unfortunately you have to be a really big channel in order to be making good money. We appreciate what we earn but hope to grow more in the future.

In Europe coffees are small but so packed with punch and flavor. I swear I crave those coffees when I come back home. Only crappy coffees in the US.

Thank you! We were really spoiled going down the coast in both Croatia and Montenegro. Loved the views, vibes and laid back atmosphere.
As im watching this video i'm also googling Budva, and since some of my neighbors visited Montenegro last year I now know why they were so amazed. If you are planning to visit go in summer. Fall and winter isn’t really good time to visit 😍
These are some killer drone shots! Nice! Btw, I think we all need a cat intermission in every video :)
Thank you! Hahaha...drone footage + cat intermissions. Could be our new niche ;)

Come back! I am there all summer
Was there for the day - i preferred Kotor.
Same here although I'm still glad we visited Budva.

Oo I was in Montenegro Budva 3-2 years ago,it was really nice but the hotel where I was wasnt giving the best food
"Jadran kod Krsta" = Jadran (as Adriatic) at Krsta (if Krsto is a name or Cross if it is Krst)
Thanks for explaining that!
Krsto is a name, my family firend :D

Are you planning to visit Cyprus?
Not on this particular trip but definitely would love to in the future.
Great lipstick! Source / cost???
I noticed that too. I think it's new for Audrey.
Hasinger Hase Stop making judgements about people you don't know.
Hello! What month were you in Budva?
We visited in late November.
@@samuelandaudrey Thank you!
Did you not visit Herceg Novi? Thant’s like going to Disneyland and only seeing the hotel. You missed the best part.
Hopefully next time!
What time of the year was this?
Late autumn.
That is how a cappuccino is SUPPOSED to be.
We just loved it!
Have you tried Macedonia and Albania?
Unfortunately we didn't get that far south on this trip. We sure want to visit in the future though.
BUDVAR - that would have looked great on a polo-shirt - but.....385 EURO!!!???? - OMG.....:-)
I know!!! It would have looked so nice next to the Jodhpur and Jaipur shirts ;)
BUDVAR - KOTOR - you can't make that kind of wardrobe up, Sam - that wardrobe would'a gone viral - would've slain, man.....you need to go back there and splash the cash, Sam.....asap.....:-)
Definitely a missed opportunity ;)

That is awesome! How is it right now? Cold?
Samuel and Audrey - Travel and Food Videos its really not cold today its around 2oC witch is warmer than the other cities I have been to the snow is melting so its really wet But as for the city I am not having the best time but maybe tomorrow I will have a better day
Did u go to Serbia too?
Unfortunately not on this trip. We'd like to next time.
I live in Montenegro
Cool! Where?
So many kitties, pls send me one, pls
Wish we could.
I do not understand why people go to the Adriatic in the winter time. Ok let's say you do not like the crowd and you like peace and quiet but off season is very, very depressing especially when it is rainy and cloudy.
It is still relatively warmer than other places in Europe I suppose.
I understand that but the feel is totally different and the sea is also cold for swimming so you are missing on that experience as well.
But on the other hand I want to give you a big tumb up for your reviews. You are very detailed, prepared, you do a research, you try not to mispronounced the words, your editing is great. The only thing that I might not like is that you are very positive and dearly you have a negative critiques about anything. There must be something that you do not like. But you are Canadians and I probably understand why since Canadians are very polite in general.
:-)

really beautiful city but the food is just aweful. be prepared for that.
Are u making a good amount of money with youtube?
No, unfortunately you have to be a really big channel in order to be making good money. We appreciate what we earn but hope to grow more in the future.
