This song is very special for me. I met Joe at a meet & greet in 2004 @ tower records in concord,ca for his Is there love in space release..Joe was so kind & hugged when I told him how this song has/ had the power to heal me of addiction & heartbreak..Thats the Power of music..Thank you Joe!
I find his music healing in this way too. I find the moon and stairs as well as water when I listen to his beautiful artistry....so so many places I remember from tripping on his music... Berkeley, hiking in the mountains in Nevada, main island of Hawaii beaches, waterfalls and trees... hard to explain but I never feel sad when I am lost in his grasp
Joe, the name of my son is gerry joe setiadi, i know and hear you since 22 years ago.. And hope some day we will meet you.. sorry about my speaking Txs joe.
Finally... a video where the editor wisely chose to cut from Satriani's solo and focus the viewer's attention where it belongs: on Stu Hamm's shirt. Same shirt you'll see if you Google "Stu Hamm" RIGHT NOW.
bassist is just a miracle.. anybody notice the difference between this one and the original one? Im just coming to listen for the bass notes. its incrediblly awesome!
Music master of the Universe maestro Joe Satriani, my inspiration, since am listening your composition, you're one and only the greatest hero of mine, I salute you master Joe, may you live long master, hats off you maestro 🎸🤘🙏🎸🤘🙏🎸🤘🙏
This is a very rare live performance of this great song. Thank you very much for sharing. do you know of any other live recordings of this song beside the one in Live in SF?
I loved this piece since 2008 but I haven't heard it in a few years until now. Riyoko Takagi's 'Petals of Memory' Jazz piano improvisation really reminded me of 'Until We Say Goodbye': ruclips.net/video/0yU3DvRd9zE/видео.html both pieces are about past/memories, follow low-high-low story-like structure, have a smooth backing beat and atmosphere, amazing phrasing throughout with crafty intricate licks, some of which are very similar, and Joe got that Jazz connection since he took lessons from Billy Bauer (guitarist) and Lennie Tristano (pianist).
This must have been performed soon after the record was released. Sounds almost identical to the album. Later Joe started improvising when playing it live
Probably because so much of it, like the sweep picking parts both up and down are very hard to replicate like they are recorded on the album. He tried pretty hard here, but I noticed a few mistakes. Like when he starts his first run up the scale around 1:59 he skips a few notes at the beginning and ends up being ahead of the drums and the bass for a moment.

Rapportus.....Really, you are going to Nit Pick the Hand of God? Please dude, just let it wash over you. Don't get "all technical" or you will ruin All Music in your life, looking for "little discrepancies". Few people on this planet (and a few others) will ever attain this level, so just bow, be quiet, and.......
this song just like[ Shah - All things Sweet ] You guys not believe it?come onmake some research about this Joe's solo and also Shah's guitar solo.Shah is the Malaysian Guitarist.
It is the end of 2023 and I am still re-visiting this legendary performance every now and then.

Only this song and "The Forgotten" are enough to make Joe Satriani the best composer and guitarist in the world. Love you Joe. 🎵🎵🎸🎸🎹🎹👍👍💗💗

bass line is incredible
That is just absolutely beautiful🤗.
The best and only song instrumental guitar on the world..Master Joe..
I heard this song on a rockstation back in the FM radio days and realized instantly he's a professional. I love this song!

The shirt was hand made by Joe, so it's the same as a gutiar solo.
Joe is the Best!!!
You know what. I’ll say the same buddy.. out of focus
Such delicious passion.
Brings tears every time.
So great.
Grazie, Signore.

Joe Satriani NO 1
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ miód na moje uszy
IMO this is the best lineup! Joe along with Caudieux, Campitelli and Stu!
I think Caudieux was the secret ingredient on '98 era, because afterwards Campitelli's drumming became boring really fast
Master of beautiful music. JOE

My book is old, thick, very heavy, and wet with water, some of which is deep.
