I work with guitarists in a recording studio all the time, and it's actually mind blowing how "perfectly" he captures the emotion in every section of this song. A great guitarist would still take dozens of takes to capture this feel on tape, this is just mind blowing. So much respect for Joe.

Im not the biggest satch fan, but this G3 concert (on DVD 😊) was the first of Joe that I've heard, ripped thru this DVD many many times, often intending to watch just one song, end up watch the whole thing.. I heard the album version of this song years later, and thought it lacked in some of the phrasing 'energy' that is on the G3 live version, thinking he should've recorded it the way he plays here (many a times, especially in instrumental music, it is the other way around imo)
