Love your new room decor. Thank you for sharing your felt world , I’m inspired by your wonderful animals and now the pictures but I seem to lack the self discipline to progress beyond my very simple staring projects. I will continue to look forward to you videos and on day start the Hare instructions I recently purchased from you. Keep up the excellent work.

Disappointing about Yarndale but everything happens for a reason and I’m sure it will happen in its time😊. I’m excited about the possibility of a workshop. Would it be face to face ? Wondeful job on the office!
Hope the bulk order works out!
Right now I am felting a Gnome-House since my first one sold at the shop where I got a shelf.
First snail I made sold too, I already made a new one. Planning on making a few different ones. There are so many options, luckily.
One of my bigger sheep (that I made with the help of your tutorials) sold, too.
Still nothing going on Etsy, but last month was all over the place so I could not focus on much. (first I broke my foot, then my father died, so I had to travel to Germany for the funeral... I think people can understand that my business had to take a backseat)
Anyway, I am having a hard time thinking of "summer-y" things to felt. Strawberries are always an option, but I thougth I'd start with crazy pineapples with sunglasses and cocktails in their hands or something :D I am more for the comic-style things than realisitc figurines, so that sounds like a good option for me. And I have not seen them done anywhere.
I also bought little cages the other day, to put small animals in. Maybe bears or something. (birds would be the obvious choice but I think they'd be too wide) I got three cages, so I'll probably make three different ones.
The bookmarks I make help me get better when I work on smaller things. That's still my weak spot. But I see improvement already.
I want to do more 2D felting as well. I have the frames, just need to decide what to try...
With everything that's happened it's good I have felting to distract myself. Even if I don't feel like creating something specific I just sit down and make basic shapes for later use. (e.g. ovals for animal bodies, balls for heads etc. I have a small box with different felted shapes and when I get inspired I don't have to start from scratch, which can be nice :) )
Anyway. I hope you'll have a great month!
    Take it easy :)

Ohh Pippa- I’m sorry about Yarndale. One thing though- my husband is a professional oil painter and we’ve been doing art fairs for 20 years. We’ve been turned down many times for shows. Many times it’s because they had so many entries for oil painters and not because he’s not a good painter. Your work is fabulous and you have a definite voice. Don’t give up! 😊
Your studio looks fabulous! Very serene. Green must be the trend- I just did our main rooms in the house green. It’s calming and natural.
I’m curious about the poppy 2-D and you outlining the poppies with thread- why did you choose thread rather than wool for the outline? Nice job!
Finally, re Patreon- if you felt a weight lifted from your shoulders, it was the right choice IMHO.
HAPPY FELTING! I’ve had to put mine away for the warmer months- it’s gardening season and I can’t do both, or they’ll both suffer. Take care❤

Hi Sherry, that's really reassuring to hear about applications, I will definitely try next year, thank you. Yes, green does seem to be the colour and it's really transformed my room, I am super happy with it. With regards the poppies, I just wanted something quick and easy, sewing is that bit faster but wool would work perfectly too. I am definitely feeling better having stopped Patreon, it is a weight and it just helps me move forward with other things in my business. Thanks for your helpful and encouraging comment and for watching xx

I'm sorry you didn't get into yarndale, but maybe next year! Just think about how much you'll improve in the meantime. 😊 You'll surely blow them away!
    😮
I adore that big sheep. Please don't take this the wrong way, but he reminds me of those cute door stops/holders. I've always wanted one of a cute animal that just sits there looking cute, keeping your door open. But I have pets and that'd be bad. Especially if it was made of real wool. 😂
Also, good for you! If Patreon was causing more stress than anything, and you can still stay in contact with your friends, then that's great. I'm happy for you, especially since it sounds like it was starting to burn you out, and that's not good! We enjoy your videos, even the "boring" ones because we are interested in the hobby and you! So thanks for sharing! ❤

Love your thinking and yes, hopefully next year! I feel that sheep is a doorstop too, it's just sold at my craft fair so that's really good.

Another lovely monthly update from you, the room looks amazing. I don’t know how you do everything you do. Could I ask what the stripped, for the want of a better word 🤔wool is that you used on the sleepy cows, I love making them and looking for something other than wow ice and fire. Take care of yourself 😊💕

Wonderful video! You are so inspiring, it’s such a busy time of year of me - every year, but I always feel as though I’m coming away from needle felting when work gets in the way. A video like this brings me right back, thank you!! Another round of daffodils here!! Have a lovely day. ❤

Sorry to hear you didn’t get into Yarndale have you thought about craft in the pen at Skipton 18th and 19th November, we love that show, all like minded people there. I’m sure you would do very well with your kits and felties. Tickets much cheaper for the visitors.

It's definitely one I thought about and I hope to visit it this year and check it out as a possible for next year, great to hear you like it though, thanks so much xx

Your work is great. I could watch you for hours! I especially love the pictures. You say that you are not artistic but you can certainly blend colours. Needle felting was going to be my new hobby after you inspired me but I hate it. Absolutely loathe it😂😂. I wonder if I bought a kit and followed the instructions I would get somewhere? Still, my objects make me laugh when I look at them. I have to call them objects as they certainly don't look like anything! I have gone back to things I can do....

Ah well, at least you had a go, was the wool carded, that's all as sometimes it's not you, it's the needles and wool. Thanks for being here though and for watching xx

@Felts by Philippa I ordered it from World of Wool and had it sent to my daughter. There was quite a lot! When I came over I brought it back with me. I need to practice more. My main problem I think was getting it firm enough. I went to look for my invoice to check what I had bought but couldn't find it. I couldn't find my needles either. I am over in September and will go to their shop. Unfortunately back before Skipton but next year perhaps.

Nice to see you, Pippa; always enjoy your catch ups. Regarding shorts - I don’t understand why they’re such a “thing” lately? Is it because attention spans are getting that short? Personally I’m not a fan and delete almost all without watching. Although my time is limited, I look to RUclips to learn from artists/creators I admire, so I prefer longer videos than 30 seconds. Anyway, just my two cents! On another note, I ordered Jaana’s landscape book on your recommendation - it arrives tomorrow! I just spent several days at a ski lodge while my sons took ski lessons over spring break, and I spent much of my time doing 2D landscapes. Like you, I consider myself to be “artistically challenged,” but I do enjoy the 2D projects. And sorry to hear about Yarndale. 😔 Perhaps it’s a blessing to not have that added to your plate right now? (Looking for the bright side…) Have a lovely April!

Hi Jill, yes, shorts are RUclips's answer to tiktok and reels and now they are monetized it helps a bit. I have done some but not really into them however worth trying. I'm like you, I prefer long form and getting to know someone a bit more. Yes, Yarndale may be a blessing as I have relaxed a bit so that's good. I've really been enjoying the 2d felts, I hope to lots more over time. Hope you are well and thanks for being here xx

Just a thought, but next year when you send in your application for the show, will you be telling the folks reviewing your application that you have various media channels that have bona fide followers? Would doing that help the application to be more seriously considered? I mean, after all, you are reaching folks on multiple continents, never mind countries.
