I am a 72 year old grandmother.. and following your instructions I got my samsung soundbar to work with my fios one remote.. the technician set it up at the installation.. but somehow the soundbar lost its pairing.. and I was stuck with the tinny sounding speakers on my samsung tv... I wasn’t aware of the voice latency problem.. but my speaker worked changing this setting..
Wow thank you so much for this info. Switching it to that has seemed to help a lot I also noticed there's a lip sync adjustment feature in that menu as well. To anyone that's having trouble with the TV just turning off you could clear the TV programming from the remote first. Menu-settings-voice control-fios tv remote-program fios tv remote-reset remote setup.

Have Samsung 4k tv & Samsun 5.2.1 sound bar - used pass through option as opposed to pcm & fixed the latency issue without sacrificing any of the channels - thx so much for the video, very, very helpful !!!
I had an issue with AUDIO garble , Vizio TV and Sound bar. Fios was NO help, Once I accessed this menu I changed to LPCM and Garble was gone. The only thing is Im using an Opt cable from TV to Sound bar and this fixed the issue. Im not connected to SB with ARC .. Great video to show access to the SUB menus!

Heads up, this might fix lipsync but you lose surround sound as pcm limits your audio to 2channels. That is fine if you are using a 2ch soundbar or connected via analog cord and not HDMI arc. This also happens on older FiOS boxes too. This is not a good solution for modern bars and why they don't give it. The real culprit is video lag, not the audio anyway. These boxes have trouble decoding the image fast enough. Do not buy vOd movies from FIOS for that reason. There isa lipsync setting in menu to try first, also on your soundbar and tv. Resetting the main box, router, and ONT usually fixes the lag for me but ppl need to complain to Verizon to update their system so there is little to no decoding lag
My soundbar killed my internet speed on 5g. Gig speed was 20/5 lol cable company was out here 15 times and couldn't figure out why my speed was so slow and I finally figured it out on my own. I have a Nakamichi Shockwafe. It's an amazing bar.. but no matter what channel I have my internet on is still slow with the Soundbar tuned on.
This worked for me to fix the lip sync issue, but I have a soundbar with wireless rear speakers, and the LPCM audio setting silenced the surround channels. So it is not a useful solution if you have a soundbar with surround speakers.
switching it cause my soundbar to be disconnected all together - I had to repaid the soundbar to the tv, but it still does not allow my sound bar to get as loud as it did when I had comcast. This is extremely frustrating as neither verizon nor vizio were able to help solve the problem - any suggestions without having to purchase a universal remote??? Thanking you in advance!
I have a Sonos sound bar and new Verizon updated boxes like you show in the video. I found the secret menu and changed to what you suggested but it didn’t correct the issue I’m having which is using the Verizon remote to control volume on sound bar, right now have to grab my LG remote for volume. Any suggestions ?
Quick question: Our issue is that the soundbar doesn't turn on consistently when turning on the tv...and when it does, it lags by 4-5 seconds. We are continuously having to repair the remote with the soundbar. Any suggestions for that? Do you think you solution will fix my problem too?
I don't mind not having a clock. But I do miss the 30sec skip button. Idk how to program it. I think it's a sneaky way Verizon is trying to get you to subliminally watch ads while you skip through your recorded shows
@@GYMCADDY Just click the right side of the black circle around the ok button (to skip ahead) or the left side of the circle (to skip back). Whether that skip ahead/back takes you 10 or 30 seconds, etc. can be configured in Fios's DVR settings.
IT works but my exit button on remote controls my volume on my volume on my sound bar . Have to hold button to get tv on . Now another problem music choice keeps loading when i change station Music Choice my only problem sometime freezes? MUSIC CHOICE a problem with FIOS NOT Comcast

It amazes me that Verizon has no idea how to fix this issue after being on the phone with them for two hours. After watching this video, the problem is resolved in two minutes! Sine note, while in the process of doing this a new box arrived from Verizon to "fix the problem ....Sad! This is what you get now with the staff all working from home!

Yes this seems to be the case! I don’t understand when I spend $3 k on a Samsung Qled and sound bar system I can’t have a Digital audio system with a Fios One cable box. Who’s to blame? Is this really the only solution....?
If u mean volume level isn't showing on tv, check tv audio settings and make sure volume control display is set to ON and analog audio out is set to Variable. Also resetting the soundbar and soft rebooting the tv sometimes fixes such. Or toggling soundbar audio input from HDMI arc to another and back using soundbar remote. Also make sure audio setting on tv is set to pcm. But you are essentially losing surround sound channels and stuck at 2 channel as pcm is the setting for non HDMI audio.

is the original Verizon modem still required for the newest top? or it just runs of any internet access.
It still requires a verizon router connected to the coax cable for the guide and VoD

My tv turns off when I hit the power button.
Antoine Buford mine does too, no biggie just power it off hit ok twice then hit the power button again to turn it on and the menu will be there

I had same issue too until I realized I had to start with the tv off
