“Color theory” is just a suggestion and never a rule! Wear whatever you want, you can always make a fashion piece more flattering by tweaking the styling, changing the accessories, and matching the jewelry and makeup! These places are total cash grabs to me
@@etheliaowo7533 then go in store and try things on before buying. People buy everything online nowadays and have no baseline to go off of when reading size guides and have no clue how it fits. If you’re able to at least look at an item in store first or if there’s photo reviews you’ll have a way better idea of what to expect when ordering.
I think you meant color analysis and not color theory. Color theory is very real and used by all artists. Color analysis is what you’re seeing here! It uses color relativity
@@chaedoolies yes of course! I meant in the sense of this service shown in the video here. There’s never a definitive palette that a person has to stick to in order to have outfits that work for them. I work as a retail stylist and I get customers who will ask me “which color is better” for people with brown hair or something and I always say it’s up to personal preference and the goal of the outfit and some people are very strict with what colors they try on and then I get them in the fitting room and they are surprised to have certain colors work on them with the right outfit! Sometimes these labels like “warm spring” or whatnot can make people feel boxed in to one style or color family and can make it more complicated to find things you love.
To add on, we taked about this topic in my art class and the teacher said, that dressing according to color types makes mostly sense to older people, but for young people/adults it doesn't do that much. In the end, dress in what you like!
I agree with them. You look best in the darker saturated colors. In the pastel colors your features are too strong. In the darker colors your face pops.
You would look so elegant in dark colors with gold accessories! Play around with it, you might end up liking dark colored clothes if you give the ones in your palette a fair chance.
Warm dark colors looked amazing on you- I just knew it before even the drapes but it’s even more obvious when everything is on! To all of those who say it’s just a suggestion- ofc. But to a trained eye it makes a huge difference. And to the unconscious untrained eye, it still makes a difference 😊
I think you can be a deep autumn or true autumn. If you don't like the dark colors of deep autumn, the colors of true autumn are a bit lighter. You cab also wear spring colors. For sure, you're warm toned. The peach/ salmon drape looked good on you. (Re: Jisoo, yes she's a winter.)
I would also be careful with some western colour analysts, depending on the diversity of the place, a lot of them tend to type all Asian tanned skinned people as warm tones, and/or put them into dark winter or dark autumn. They always automatically say warm tone for me (I live in a predominantly white area), but I'm actually a cool olive. Whereas, I've had better luck with Asian colour analysts with more exposure to different Asian shades and tones. The Japanese colour analysts in Tokyo typed me correctly. 😅
Everyone always says color but I always receive compliments when I wear something from my palette and when I deviate from it no compliments. So yes I do think color choice matters
I would recommend getting another analysis done. There is another RUclipsr, Audrey Coyne, that had hers done in the US. You can tell the person who did it is more experienced and created a color palette just for her. I think it’s important as others have mentioned when having an analysis done, the person have experience working with a variety of skin tones which the person in the video lacked. In her video, she talks about how some colors suggested she might not wear but uses them as part of her makeup and compliments her features well. ruclips.net/video/pjCeVkIymgA/видео.htmlsi=A2lRh32l_pjS5faj
Nah I agree with you The colors you like looked in fact very good on you in my opinion and the spring vivid idk nahhh And autum deep might look good on you but I absolutely agree those are not the coolest colors😅
Your first autumn deep is definitely made for you. I don’t agree with spring vivid though. Btw I love dark colors, they look so sophisticated on you. 😮I disagree that lighter colors look bad on you. You are almost cool to neutral undertone so unsaturated light colors in some specific shades might actually look great on you. You do you.
As a deep autumn myself I also hate the color palette. It’s so dull and boring. I also don’t like browns, yellows and orange so that might explain why I dislike it so much
Ugh every time i see this they always put anyone who isn't porcelain white in that muddy deep autumn category. They have no idea how to deal with darker skin tones. You clearly have a neutral undertone and you looked great in that set of colours she said was a nono.
These always make me sad because the girls in the end look so disappointed and treat this like it’s some new rule they need to live by. These seem really fun as a little thing to do but they also seem to cut off any possibility of self expression and puts women in these boxes. honestly, you didn’t look much different with any of the colors shown, you looked good in all of them because you’re a conventionally attractive woman and have a beautiful skin tone. Honestly just keep wearing what you want in the colors you want. We’re here for too short of a time to be limiting ourselves when it comes to things like colors.
Strange take. Nobody's restricted to wearing only certain colours, the process just shows you what makes you look your best in terms of your own colouring. And it also shows you which colours you're better off tweaking by adding other colours, wearing more makeup, etc. There are no rules, only suggestions.
@@lilithowl I’m only basing my take of off her reactions. You don’t have the explain the process I know what it entails. Omg, I can't believe they say she's warm toned.... people with BLACK HAIR CANNOT cannot be anything but cool toned. This is because black is inherently a cool color, she was black hair, not dark brown hair which would be warm. Carol Brailey talks about this in her yt shorts
It's true the pastells didn't flatter you so much, your complexion looked washed out. The spring colours were true overwhelming. Sure you can take everything with a grain of salt but why spend as much money on colour analysis when you dont believe in it in the first place?

Yea it’s a suggestion but when you’re spending so much money on it, you’re gonna be disappointed if you don’t get the colors you want

I think so, too. It's always disappointing when you get a different result than you actually wanted. 😅
I agree with the consultant
Dark colours look fantastic on you
You would look so elegant in dark colors with gold accessories! Play around with it, you might end up liking dark colored clothes if you give the ones in your palette a fair chance.
Girl I feel like you look great in all these colors lol

I think you should try a western color analysis because the Korean ones always give everyone who’s not pale the same result

I love colour theory only when it comes to makeup but with clothes... Idk...
she’s so insanely beautiful
You look incredible in those pastels, feel like you can pull off all of them!!
Girl! I feel ya! I too was SHOCKED when I found out I was a true spring 😂😢 when literally my whole wardrobe is black
the fact that I would never spot the things you said, but I did thanks to the way you edited it ! Plus you are drop dead gorgeous !
Gurl, you slay literally every color out there
Your complexion is beautiful omg 😍😍😍😍
You’re so pretty!!💗💗😍

the way she looked good in every girl 😭😭😭 face card never fails fr
The orange was a vibe
Wooow! You are super beautiful 😍
You looked best in the corals
You look better with blue 💙
Nah I agree with you
The colors you like looked in fact very good on you in my opinion and the spring vivid idk nahhh
And autum deep might look good on you but I absolutely agree those are not the coolest colors😅
The first “suggested palette” is all cool tones! You disliked it cus warm tones compliment you best. Your intuition is correct.
I’m an autumn as well, and I noticed that the green in the pallete was the wrong green. Deep autumns have olive green, not Christmas tree green
Yeah, the results are weird, you look gorgeous in any color
🙄
Where did you get it done?????
Not me looking best in the summer mutes 😂
She’s right

Name of the place?
Please wear deep colors!!! It would look fantastic
Your expression is disappointed but look how those colors make your cheeks glow perfectly!
Those earthy colors only look sad and boring in synthetic materials with plain texture.

You flew al the way to South Korea for a colour analysis test? Ridiculous
This is a scam
😂
I assume she doesn't live in the United States since she flew to korea for that.

Sorry I am not buying it.😂
