If you didn’t grow up during Tiger’s prime years, I feel bad for you. You missed out on the golden years of golf. You would come home from school and watch him play, even on NFL Sunday. He’s the reason we have so many star young players on tour because they all idolized him and picked up the game of golf rather than football. Tiger is the GOAT! 🐐
I grew up watching Tiger. From when he was 3 years old on the Johnny Carson Show. I was always a big fan of Tiger from that day forward. Living up in northern Canada it was always on TV seeing him win win win. Now at 55 years old I finally had my first opportunity to see him at the PNC championship with his son Charlie a couple weeks ago. Wow it was awesome to see and hear Tiger swing the clubs. I only wish I could have gotten an autograph 🙏🏻 Oh well maybe someday as I now live in south Florida. Great video! Love the New PGA golf look!! Hopefully Tiger can Win one more major event 🙏🏻😊👍🏻🇺🇸
Tiger WILL go down as probably the most influential person in the history of golf. He drove the sports popularity, he drove technological advancement in equipment, and he changed the way people approach and play the game.
Looking at legends of all different decades in sport, music and art etc....I am so so proud to say I lived, breathed, experienced and still alive during the life of Tiger Woods. No player in my era has come close or ever will.
Growing up there was nothing better than that smell of spring on a Sunday morning, and seeing tiger tee off in red. Golf won’t be the same without him.
The youth have no idea what a true legend truly is. No one has changed their respective sport like Tiger had. He is the reason golf courses changed their distances. Hes why there are "Tiger tees". No one has ever had the influence over a sport like he has. We wouldn't have a fraction of the talent we do in golf now without him. You had to live though his prime to even understand the power of his influence. Young guns now will never reach this heights!
I was a sophomore in High School in 2001. I remember Tiger vividly. I played state level soccer. Never touched a golf club. Watching him that year made me try golf for the first time. I have been playing ever since. Now, I am excited to be able to watch Charlie. A prodigy. The son of my favorite golfer ever Tiger Woods.
At 55 years of age I feel very fortunate to have watched Tiger's entire career and also Michael Jordan. To me they're the two greatest athletes that I've ever watched and most influential. I think if golf and basketball are still being played 200 years from now there still won't ever be anybody better than these two.
Its just entertainment! I dont feel privileged or honored to witness a feloiq human do great things. We call have greatness in use whether we see it or not or if we get opportunities etc. I have enjoyed being entertained.
He was an incredible athlete. But also so much fun to watch his contents...can't wait for him to focus on teaching golf and his deep knowledge..will be incredible
Glad to have lived through this era in time, I got to watch Wayne Gretzky, Tiger Woods, Michael Phelps, Usain Bolt, etc. Just legend after legend, truly the peaks of sports
Wow.... double wow!!! Tiger what a legend .... thank you for all you did for golf .... young and old you brought that passion to us that will LAST A LIFE TIME. thk u PGA this is truly magnificent
Tiger the GOAT! The artist and the engineer. When Tiger's not playing, I can hardly bring myself to watch. If I do watch, I often get bored. The aura and excitement factor just isn't there.
Sun Day Red is definitely better than most. What a career and what a player!! Great concept from the PGA to actually see how he reacts to what we've been watching over and over again in awe!! 👌
@@ApHoney We are talking about years of a world of firsthand experience in playing the game plus one of the leading golf equipment manufacturers in the world working together, how is it not? The question is how it was introduced and who they are going up against not the quality of the brand.
@@edgorious The quality might be great, but the average golfer will never know with rain pants priced at $500. Again, coming from a graphic designer, the logo absolutely sucks. The three word "Sun Day Red" sucks. The price point is the worst price point in all of golf apparel..
There will never be another golf icon like tiger woods. The ONLY player of the modern era to have 2 career grand slams. The tiger slam will never be repeated. Sheffler brooks rahm etc can only dream of holding all 4 at once
Besides being golf's top echelon, Tiger Woods just has a magnetic and commanding aura. Very few have it. Plus a 1000 megawatt smile! It is lethal combination; skill, aura, smile.
The only player who could turn a golf competition into rock n roll. Every week he was right up there I’d be interested to see how many runners up he had. His biggest rivalry was when vj Singh started playing lights for a couple of years. He seemed to do the magical consistently. A true genius of winning.
We all are blessed to see one man greatness, history in the making... Like the kids said, I too tiger woods!!! Golfers no matter what race you are, was once felted like tiger on the course when you hit that one shot, or that one putt.... ⛳🏌Get in the hole
So many fabulous soundbites. “First things first, you gotta make the weekend to give yourself a chance”!! Apply that to life by not focusing on the big picture, its the small wins (goals) all along the way that lead there.
Listening to Tiger speak about his mindset is great and it aligns with the keys to golf success! Control, Committment, Competetiveness, but he says what Tiger says matters the most is "Commitment" at 08:05. When asked to define "Clutch" at 09:10 , Tiger's response was - "Hard Work going into a Belief in Yourself at that Moment and Trust what you've done as there is NO DOUBT, and You Do It". Essentially, to play well, you must commit and believe in yourself. Such a great piece of work PGA Studios!!
Well done PGA Tour on this studio setting 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 We could all feel the emotion coming from Tiger as he took it all in!,, I was 26 years old when Tiger Woods turned Professional in 1996. Greg Norman was coming to the end of his excellent career with 20 PGA wins & a career where he would spend 331 weeks at world number 1 in the 80s & 90s😮 After he retired, I followed Aussies like Adam Scott, Aaron Badley, Stuart Appleby, Jason Day! However, I always had my eyes on Tiger. He just had a different presence, an aura about that I couldn’t NOT watch him play😉 Thank you for the entertaining memories Tiger Woods 😊 Love from Australia, Stephen 🇦🇺
I still have vivid memories of sitting in the tv room in my college dorm studying and watching him in the ‘96 Amateur. Knowing he was going to be something special I knew I had to watch him play before he turned pro.
And that my friends shows what it takes to be a winner ! No matter what you think of this guy, personally I truly admire his determination, dedication and drive to play the best he can. The word ICON in sports is used to freely, here we have a true icon in sports, and when he’s not out there you’ll all realise what we’re missing…………
So damn cool. Well done video. Almost emotional watching it. As a fellow Dec 30th baby I feel a small connection with Tiger and always have. I remember like it was yesterday watching him win the Masters in 1997. He was something else and the excitement he brought to the weekends for years was awesome.
To many, the fan base was there because we followed his toddler to adult days. To watch his growth was amazingly guided by his parents supporting his steps until adulthood. It matters! The evolution of a new generation is wonderfully working for him as well. He’s setting new numbers. He is truly an inspirational and incredible athlete. ❤😂🎉
I love this new, putting edge PGA Tour. Pays homage and respect to the past and to the game of golf, but launching forward into the tech future. I could have watched this BTS/expose on Tiger for 8 hours straight. I mean, HE is the reason golf is a mainstream, young man’s sport now. Thank you, Tiger.
I’m not sure golf tournaments will ever reach this excitement again. Even when he shows up on tour today it’s still more exciting even tho we all know his chances of winning is just not there anymore. Dude is 1 of 1 and it was an honor to get to watch him in his prime
Tiger is a flawed dude and ruined some great things we all could have shared that he could have created, who knows. But I'm grateful for the great golf he played and for the memories and excitement he created every time he teed it up. Thanks Tiger!
grateful to have experienced some of his prime years, also feeling a sense of sadness that we'll probably never see another golfer like tiger...truly 1 of a kind
You can maybe argue there’s greater athletes in different sports. Like MJ or Gretzky but there has never and maybe never will be a more captivating athlete! What he’s done for golf will never be topped!
