@@timsettles6580 it's on ESPN and saw an article how they will be making a big marketing push on next weeks NFL Monday night wild card game when millions of people will be watching. Thus the reason Tiger is playing in next weeks match.
I watched last night. I have to say, there's no way I'd ever stand out on a course in the sun to watch a round, but I'd definitely go sit and watch this. The hole designs were awesome!
A fresh look at competitive golf, combining a familiar virtual golfing experience with the physical skill of real professionals, what an achievement and it's exciting to see. Incredible job well done!! 👌
This is incredible tech and really looking forward to seeing the matches. Everything from the real turf on the screen zone to the rotating green zone. Truly a monumental accomplishment in engineering. Well done guys 👏👏👏
Such an awesome way to play and challenge yourself. I love playing put put golf and we used to golf through the house. Never thought to see this clever creativity in my lifetime. Come one and all...and have a ball. Great video.
Yeah you jerk. The kids and I were having a blast golfing indoors. When you caught us we thought we were in trouble. We were in trouble all right. None of us could ever beat you. 😂
I’m so looking forward to see this take off ! Revolutionary idea I’m sure it’ll work……….. F1 should be looking at this idea in terms of short races, mixing the drivers up into teams ……… so much potential for Pro’s and for golf clubs worldwide ! We’ll done guys for bringing this to the masses 👏🏽
For simulator golf this goes all out. Its cool because it brings a stadium like sport which is most sports to the golf scene. I bet that the shots are actually very accurate simulations because of how many cameras are tracking just one ball. Awesome tech stuff
Need to have a way to simulate the wind! We know how much wind affects a golf ball so it could be inputted I would think. Maybe have fans installed so the players can feel the wind that is on the course at the given moment. ? I didn't watch the entire video so my apologies if this already exists.
Has serious potential, not just the golf, but player, team, and fan interaction could be steps above the norm. Looking forward to MAYBE seeing more insight into player decisions and maybe even some Chirps between players
Awesome equipments and set ups!! Just that I think if a player hits the ball, the ball on the screen should go simultaneously instead of lagging behind a tiny second, providing a more visual instinct effect.
I absolutely love this whole competition, I think it’s going to be incredible. My only gripe… I think it would be miles better if the view on the massive screen didn’t follow the ball. It would look way better if the player hit into the screen and the ball just carried on in the digital world in a realistic view. If you’re really set on doing that ball follow view then use it for replays or show it on a screen at the side. You could even have a green side view on one of the side screens as well to replicate the feeling of standing by a green at a tournament. To me the ball following view cheapens the look of the experience. The best in person experience I’ve ever had at a golf tournament is really high level amateur golf, the Walker Cup for example, because you get to see top players’ ball flights from close up on every shot. Very few people can see that at a pro event because of the crowds and the cameras etc behind the tees, and the fact you are stuck behind the ropes for approach shots. The TGL has the massive advantage of everybody being able to see the ball flight on a super realistic, massive screen and on television in a way that 99.9% of people just can’t experience normally.
45 started golfing 7 months ago bogey player par here and there triple bogey there and here by the time you start the amateur league I’ll be ready 🤔 lol. Motivation. Thanks TGL & FULLSWING
I don’t understand how the back tee LMs are tracking the ball being almost shoulder height? I have a FS Kit and it is so particular about being on the ground at ball height to even pick it up. Looks correct at front tee set up, but makes no sense.
So many companies fail trying to do groundbreaking things like the Metaverse or Apple vision. You guys nailed this, there isn’t one single thing you could have done better from what I can see.
I just manifested a dream to play for fun in that stadium one day! Full swing: I will definitely purchase your simulator and sync it up with your virtual green product in my basement one day.
Im sure slope and wind are accounted for automatically within the game. Obviously there is the normalized data (non-variable affected) based on the shot hit, and then the algorithm affects the shot based on certain wind and slope variables just like when the ball lands, how it reacts on the ground.
@@curtissmithgolf If they had wind, there would be a wind speed and direction indicator. They are hitting from flat surfaces, so not accountable for uphill or downhill lays. Yes the ball will react to terrain as it lands, bounces and rolls. Watched a lot of it on TV last night, not impressed.
It's entertainment, that's it...not supposed to be like real outdoor golf...just a new twist on an old game. If you can't embrace change, then don't watch it!
The trouble with this is - whilst it might broaden the appeal of golf to a wider audience - I can’t really see how they’re going to allow this new format of golf to be played by fans. What happens when you love a sport? You want to get involved with the sport. I don’t see how they’re going to bring this tech heavy, extremely complicated set up to the masses.
It's still fundamentally golf, just a different interface. But to your point, the NFL is the biggest sport in America. I can't count how many people I know that love watching the NFL and have never played a football game in their life. Millions and millions of people.
Full swing needed to add 1000000000000 launch monitors to help improve the accuracy because their best ( most expensive ) can’t..???? Imagine showing off your top monitor on live tv and we all find out it’s not accurate… Close their doors ..
Nobody actually thinks this is going to be successful right? If The Match(es) have proven anything is the PGA pros aren't terribly fun to watch outside the ropes in exhibitions. That's all these are is exhibitions. They aren't even going to swear or talk shit. Tiger is the big name here but he's just about the worst in things like these. He's not terribly witty and he's awful at talking shit (which you can't even do here). None of the other pros are terribly fun in scenarios like this. This might make it to 2026 in hopes to make some money back. But it will end at that point obviously, if not after season 1
@ Because of the reasons I stated previously. I love golf. Watching real golf can be boring. But I do enjoy it. Look at LIV trying bring more personality into the game. That's not working. Outside Dahmen, Homa, Bryson and Daly there are no guys that are good to watch outside the ropes. The spectacular technology and the awe factor will dimish quickly. You need shit talking, joking around and personalities to grow this.
Millions of people watch dorks on twtich play video games. This is pro golfers playing on Tuesday nights when nothing else is on. Millions will be happy to watch. Stay grumpy 😂
I wasn't sure about this when I first heard about it, but now that it's here and seeing the setup, I'm super excited to watch!
Let’s go!
This. TGL's marketing and exposure to the public leading up to the premier tonight has been so poor.

Neither can we!
This is dope
This is awesome! Will the players be able to use their own balls? And what is the stimp reading on the greens?
The tech is really awesome, hope it does well and I'm be watching tomorrow.
Thanks for the support! We can’t wait for you to see it all in action
Amazing!
This is going to be bigger than traditional golf.
No it’s not bro
Zero chance this is still around in 10 years.
Some craic with a shank!
The beginning of the end of real courses!
“the beginning of the end” more than likely began with 1 in 500-year floods happening every other year
Would love to know the club each golfer uses outside of their driver and putter.

How much to rent the facility for a bunch of the bros?
Epic!
I like how 🐅 has every liberty to say or contribute whatever he wants to this video but he's in championship mode even when testing facilities.

Does anyone know what TGL even stands for??
I hope this new golf league works out, if not, there is the pga tour.

It's like playstation golf but with club's....will be interesting to see how it catches on.

I want this in my house 🏡 please 🏌🏿♂️
I mean it's absurd and stupid and I love it.
Sheesh. Bro has a huge zyn in 😅😅
tiger looks like he on the juice again
So you watch this awesome demonstration on a cool new twist on golf, and the only thing you took from it was assuming Tiger was on steroids...WOW!
@@robertpearson5602 never typed that. orange juice because he look like he got up ready to play. never typed anything about steriods
Think with everything else being artificial, it would be ok for the tee to be as well.
This seems like a lot of work, time, and money for a poor substitute for a golf course.

skins game 2.0, different,? yes. better? doubt it
This would be cool to go play on but incredibly boring to watch someone else play.
How so? Every single professional sport is being played by others and the audience is watching.
